Aleko is a large importer from China. You can pick up items there rather than ship to your home. They sell through multiple channels and have multiple shippers. I found them on Craigslist under event tents. They bring in a few hundred containers a year. They are a specialized importer and much of their business is wholesale. You can buy retail at an amazing price. I'm a big fan of buying through wholesale and professional suppliers - go direct for the best! Their website shows their specialties. Now that is saunas, metal fences and gates, and event tents. They also have short cycle products - they were at the end of selling inflatable rubber rafts. They were clearing them out after removing them from their website. They often have a selection of random items like parquet panels, stuffed toys, and plastic fruit at the import price. You can track their sales and special items on their website. They have the famous metal frame poly-vinyl carport cheaper than Costco. I verified by voice phone they had stock, visited, paid, and left with the item. They did a stellar job on post purchase support. They have a telephone and Internet inside sales group. They will load the items in your vehicle. Just waiting at the counter you can see and hear how fast the call center works and observe their customer focus. Found a posting on Facebook marketplace. Drove down to checkout the saunas in person. These are cheaply made from China. When I put it together, many of the staves were squared off, not rounded. The instructions are extremely vague and the screw descriptions are sometimes in Chinese. When I brought this up to them, they couldn't care less. I had to buy longer screws for some parts. I bought a sliding gate from Aleko. What was delivered was a swing gate, meaning, holes drilled for installing a swing gate. I was told I need to drill the holes for the sliding gate. There were also missing pieces in the delivery. Which they have not sent out- even though I called them When I said I didn't expect to have to drill or weld the gate- which they do not indicate on their website, I was told "You should have asked". (Yes I was mad after being told all of this was my problem) And they delivered a 4th post, which I didn't order, and they told me it is my problem, and I need to get rid of it. The documentation delivered was for a swing gate and not a sliding gate. Manager didn't call after a day, when I called more than 24 hours later, 2pm on a Friday I was told they have all left and no idea why the missing pieces have been sent out, why the manager has not been called and why I got a swing gate when I ordered a sliding gate. read more

I purchased my sunshade May 16, 2025. I installed the sunshade the next week and noticed the left arm was hanging low. On advice of customer service, I checked the pitch angle of both arms and they are at the factory set 15-degree angle. Both are identical. On May 27 th. I wrote " I had asked [previously] about an arm hanging low. There is no adjustment that I can find to correct this. Now this arm has developed a very loud noise when extending and I'm afraid something is very wrong with it. The noise seems to be coming from inside of it, not at a joint. What can be done to correct this? On June 7 th. I wrote a follow up, stating I'm waiting for an answer on my note dated May 27th. After waiting (almost 2 weeks) for an answer, I called customer service (June 19th) and was told to send pictures. I told the guy I would do so and call back. After sending pictures and a video I called back and was told to get in line for an answer as I was not the only customer and was promised an answer via email. The answer came telling me to check a pin. I checked the pin noted and it is identical to the one on the other arm. No one watched and listened to the video I sent. The sound in this video clearly highlighted my problem. The arm is clearly defective and I asked for a replacement. I said if this is not doable, I wish to return the whole shade for a refund. After these exchanges customer service wrote. "I can see you did not install it correctly. Just the positioning of your hand crank speaks volumes to the overall install. Since you are so insistent that it's the arm that is the issue, I am sending you a new arm. Below is the invoice for that. Shipping is 3-5 days. I will no longer be able to assist any further." Heck of a way to treat a customer. After two months of frustration, I got the defective part, I had identified in the first place. Now I did some due diligence. I had an installer of a previous Aleko shade examine mine and he said my instillation was faultless. The position of the hand crank is due to a water feature (in my garden) making it impossible to access from the other side. Further diligence looking at other installs of different manufactures I realized all the lacking features of Aleko shades. For example, no hood over the shade to protect it from the weather. End caps don't stand a chance of keeping water out. With all of this I'm offering my services to their customer service. read more

Horrible customer service after spending well over $3,000.00 on a beautiful iron gate!!! I spoke to Victor several times who was no help at all with my issues. Finally got a hold of a supervisor who corrected one of my issues but once that was fixed, another problem arose with the gate arm. I spoke to Victor, again several times, but got nowhere. As he requested, I emailed a video & pictures of the issue but he claimed he couldn't open the video & to send it through a specific website. I did that, twice. I called, I emailed, and several months later, have still not gotten a response from anyone at Aleko. I have my own life and issues, aside from wasting $3000 on a gate that doesn't work, and I don't have time to stay on top of them to do their job correctly. Hoping, maybe, they will get this review and respond with proper, appreciative customer service, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. I am building a new house which has a large sliding gate. I have quite a challenge job in choosing the gate opener. Lift Master is top end but only has chain type instead of rack type. I have compared a number of openers with rack type on the market and finally decided to buy Aleko AR2050 from Home Depot for several reasons: 1/ AR2050 is capable of handing up to 2600 lb heavy duty gate, 2/ it has real time customer support, 3/ Home Depot would be a good place in case of after purchase service, and 4/ the price was very competitive. I am so glad of my choice. As a DIY enthusiast, I would need a lot of technical support from the supplier, and Aleko proven to be the best support I have ever got in my life. First, unlike most customer service hotlines these days which would take 20, 30, 40 or ever longer wait time, the customer service line at Aleko was very prompt, one generally would only need to wait for a few minutes to talk to a real person. In the event your wait time is longer then a few minutes, you could get a call back prompt and they would call back either the same day or the next. Second, the staff there are very professional. They ask detailed questions and provide detailed replies. In case the person on the other side may not know the answers immediately, he/she would ask you to wait for a few minutes while looking for the answers for you on real time basis. To them, a job is not done until your problem is solved. This is particularly true in the case of Tyler P. When I contacted them first time, Tyler was on the other end and answered me all the wiring questions. Afterwards, he sent me a wiring diagram with all required wires marked in color so I would not make any mistake. Later I have issues with magnet limit switch as the gate would not stop immediately when the magnets on the rack passing through the magnet sensor on the opener. He made a number of suggestions and even sent me a replacement sensor plate in case I may need one. His help did not stop until I finally got it right as the gate is too heavy which has an inertia when moving so the magnets need to be installed ahead of the designed position by about a feet so it would stop at the right position. Finally I encountered questions when installing the reflective photocells and Tyler provided as usual very detailed support including made critical help in switching the wires to make it work. He waited on line at the other end until I changed wires and told him it worked. All in all, I could not be happier when I finally got the gate work in a way it is supposed to. Thank you, Tyler as well as other staff on their technical support team including Viktor who also helped. I do see other reviews, both 5 star positive reviews and 1 star negative reviews. From my own experience it all came down to two things: One is, you buy from them for a reason and competitive price is certainly an important one, as such one should not expect everything to be perfect although admittedly there are rooms to improve. Trying to figure out where things may not be right first and seek their support to get it right would be very important. Another is try to buy from places like Home Depot as Aleko would certainly pass their quality check and Home Depot would be a good back stop in case things do not work out entirely to one's satisfaction. But from my own experience I can honestly say their technical service team is just wonderful - knowledgeable, helpful and taking pride in what they sell and what they can help. The 2 person hot tub works well, until it doesn't. My tub was only 7 months old, manuf. warranty is for only 6 months. I have bought Awning fabric multiple times for my retractable awning. The color fades terribly in just 1 season. I reached to Aleko for suggestions as to anything to do to get more life out the awning as it is not an easy task to take down the awning and disassemble to replace the fabric. Here is their response. Thank you for contacting ALEKO. Unfortunately, with are awning fabric they do fade with time especially the dark colors and areas with a lot of sun. SO apparently the awning fabric has a life of 1 summer if you want them to look nice as opposed to being bleached out. read more

Unfortunately all the other bad reviews are true about this place. They assure you when you go in to buy the sauna that all the parts are there and it's all good. If anything is missing or instructions are unclear they have videos and they will provide you any new parts. Then you buy it and go to put it together and the instructions call for screws that it doesn't even come with, they are extremely unclear. The videos you can find online are also very unclear, mostly sped up not showing any of the details you need. In my case I put the roof on the sauna exactly as described in the instructions and ended up running out of roofing shingles before covering the whole roof. When I called they are rude since you've already bought the thing and they give you the run around a little bit, they had me email the parts / service department and I waited for a reply. Eventually they just said I put the shingles on without enough spacing which is not true, I installed them how they are supposed to be installed with the proper spacing. They sent me a reference video which was the exact same video I found and referenced for installing the roof and I did it exactly as shown. Anyway, their solution is, remove the roof and space it out further. That's crazy, first off it would leak if you take asphalt shingles off and then put them back on and also it took me two days to put that damn roof on with the tiny little screws they provide for it. Now I am going to have to go to the hardware store and buy more roofing since they have such a bad instruction manual. It's unfortunate because this could be a decent product, it would be very easy for a technical writer to fix that manual but they would rather just get tons of bad reviews and offer no solution for their customers. Aleko inflatable boats are pieces of junk and the company refuses to standby its products. I have a 10.5 foot Aleko inflatable boat, but I am loathed to refer to it as a "boat" because it cannot be used in the water. In less than two seasons of use, the components fell off and it leaks air. I live in Massachusetts, so for weather-related reasons, I only use the Aleko for about four months per year. In the second season of using this Aleko product the bow handle fell off. It just fell off! I was not towing it or applying any strain. It was merely sitting on the land over the weekend and it fell off. A few weeks later the clips that are supposed to hold the oars likewise fell off. Again, there was no tugging or improper use. They just fell off. Next, I started noticing that one of the air chambers was leaking air. I would have to repump it for each use. I alerted Aleko of all these manufacturing deficiencies and sent photos. Aleko responded that I was outside the one-year warranty, so they will offer no assistance. Aleko gave no explanation as to why their product was failing and falling apart. They simply suggested I buy more Aleko products. read more

angel was very nice and helpful on the phone. however, we ran into a lot of pushback around a simple request, to pay with affirm over the phone - and have movers come pick it up. which would have been a much better customer experience for us. Aleko cannot do this - in order to use the affirm program, one must come IN PERSON, with the person who paid (even if pickup person is designated in the memo of the purchase form) - and present ID on location. also callingnin on FaceTime and presenting ID over FaceTime was also not enough. So, This sincerely added significant complication for us, with work and two kids, that a pickup person could not be designated, needing to take a day off of work to make this work, and not wind up using Affirm. I would give this place a higher review if this hadn't been so rocky, and they had been more open to working with us on this. however, we are grateful for the sauna, and the price. read more

I purchased an ALEKO 3-4 person sauna because I loved the design and the photos, opting for it over Costco, which has plenty of positive reviews about their customer service. The sauna was delivered on Friday, and according to ALEKO's instructions, I only had three days to inspect the package for damages. I started the installation by watching videos and searching online since the manual was vague and poorly written. On Sunday, just two days after delivery, I reached out to ALEKO customer service for a replacement threaded screw that had some damage. After a couple of days without a response, I followed up with another email and a phone call. Eventually, I spoke with a representative who asked me to send a photo of the damaged part, which I did right away. To my disbelief, they refused to send a replacement screw. It's frustrating that ALEKO wouldn't provide such a small part to complete my installation. This experience has made me appreciate the reviews for Costco's products even more--it's clear why so many people choose to shop there instead. Terrible customer service! read more

New (wrong peices were then shipped). Twenty some emails/call later all correct parts were received. I purchased a Sliding Gate Openers - AC/AR 1550/2400 Series gate opener. After a dozen cycles, the internal plastic gear broke in half. I contacted "customer support" who refused to warranty. Not only did they tell me to pay for a replacement part that should be free, but the product I need is not what they told me to buy. Aleko offers a metal gear to replace the faulty plastic one that broke. I wonder why? Is it incompetence that is behind telling me to buy the wrong product? Or are they trying to milk more money out of an unhappy customer? They could have just sent me a replacement worm gear. Arranged for an installer to come but guess what, the plastic cords that are needed to attach the fabric were missing making it impossible to install. I finally was able to talk to someone at the company that agreed to send the missing parts. When I asked how long to receive them, I was told 3 or 4 days as they only have an account with them. We just set this ALEKO awning. I'm so so happy about this purchasing. Our neighbor even asked us where did we buy and how much is it. Haha. I definitely 100% recommend this awning!!! 1. Assembling & setting: Honestly it was little hard. Haha it took few hour to assemble and realized we put the frame opposite, but didn't know why it is not working like picture, so it took more time to figure it out. And had to find right spot for drilling big screws, because we realized the power codes and AC codes are passing around the spot which we want to drill. But everything worked really well! So.. just take a time enough and don't rush to finish it. You can do it without professional setup person! 2. Design : I liked they have several color option and they had grey color which it matches our house. I like their simple and modern design. But I wish they have little bit different design for the edge part. I was looking for straight line for the edge liner part. (Not a wavy edge) But I couldn't find any brand. ‍ Straight edge will look more modern. 3. Functional: Our house gets lots of natural light inside. I LOVE natural light in our house, but didn't know how much it's gonna be so hot in summer. Since we set this awning, we realized it made shadow inside of house and make house much much cooler. And it makes totally different mood in our deck. We start to hangout, eat in our deck! And we have door under the deck to connect to the backyard and our slippers always wet, because of no cover under the deck. It was pretty inconvenient. But now our slippers will not wet anymore! Because of the awning!! This one awning brought three different good mood to our house! Ordered new dual swing gate and opener kit looked good when received. Got everything installed and working two weeks later it quit called them and had to show video of everything not working. They finally agreed control board was bad and sent a new one a month later, Got it installed now only one will open by passed control board and can get both to open. Now they want another video of it not working. Awning doesn't work and customer service is garbage. I bought a 16' motorized retractable awning. The fabric roller sags in the middle causing the fabric to bunch up when retracting, which then causes the frames & arms to start bending more & more as it retracts. They will very clearly break if the awning is fully retracted, so it can only be partially retracted. I contacted customer service whose response was to simply read back some tips & warnings from the written instructions, which I had already indicated that I followed. Nonetheless, I followed their instructions and, of course, it did not help (I had already taken the measures that were suggested). This back n forth process took several months, and I finally asked for a supervisor to offer better troubleshooting and advice. Guess what that person's "fix" was? "Don't retract the awning all the way."! I couldn't believe it. I said I'd like a refund. Well the refund period is only 30 days and they conveniently dragged their feet responding to me. I had thought that if I followed all of their suggestions, and no matter how long it took, that in good faith they would still refund me the money since it wasn't me that was dragging my feet and they could not solve the problem. Nope. I shouldn't be surprised - there is a good reason that their awnings are the cheapest out there. You get what you pay for, I guess. Don't make my mistake. read more

Bought $2'299 heavy driveway gate, includes "free shipping" with drop-off "at the end of the driveway" per online description, attached. ABF freight shipper say they only deliver at the curb/street-side, over 200 ft away and blocks access to the house. They refuse to drop off near the house unless I pay extra, which is extortion. I requested a full refund and told Aleko I never again wish to do business with them. The company is refusing to do a full refund for a merchandise they never delivered or fulfilled per the online purchase. They are now threatening to charge me undisclosed storage fees, undisclosed shipping fees, and other undisclosed return fees. This is extortion to me calling out their scam for extra delivery fees and saying I will be posting complaints with review sites. read more

So frustrated! We order an awning a while ago but didn't have a chance to install it until now. Admittedly, it was purchased more than a year ago, but apparently that voids the warranty. It was unopened in the box until now. When we opened it and went to install, we realized that we're missing a few plastic pieces (they were probably all in one bag). Even though it is brand new, they won't cover it under warranty and want $155 to replace these small pieces. You have got to be kidding me!! A full replacement is $199. Horrible customer service.
