2023 Update: Colorful. And a little classy. Cloth tablecloths. Enjoyable Spanish-language music. But still casual. The menu is more expansive than typical here: some interesting things like molcajetes and mole, but also traditional tacos, enchilladas, and fajitas. And few Italian specialties. Everything was delicious. The guacamole tends to the lime, giving a bright, fresh flavor. The chipotle sauce that comes with chips was really good: flavorful but not excessively spicy. We were late to this party. We have been meaning to go here for a long time due to all the good word floating back to us. I did not know they offered Italian dishes on the menu. We had a quiet, early dinner Thursday 12.23. The space is petite, very clean, and festive. The chips and salsa were great. The salsa was "creamy" and had a kick. I could not figure out why it had the consistency it did. It was very unique and delicious. We ordered guacamole and fried artichokes as an app. We had shrimp scampi and chicken mole enchiladas. Where to start. This place has been around over a year I believe but is in an out of the way area but hard to miss if you drive by at night with all the neat lights. I always forget they're over here though. When I was finally able to stop in a give it a try. The first thing I noticed is how busy it was inside! Every table except one high top and the bar was taken. Also this place is spotless and just nice looking inside. I was at a table for 3 and let me start off by saying my water glass was NEVER empty. We ordered the guac and chips and salsa came to the table to start; it tasted fresh and homemade. As for the guac there was too much cilantro for my liking and it wasn't sliced thin enough for me. We also ordered the chicken quesadilla entree, steak fajitas. and a side of rice with beans. The food took a while for us but again they were super busy. Cute place. The food was good too. I got an order of chicken tacos, Al pastor tacos & chicken pozole. The tacos come with a side of rice and beans. The pozole was good. The customer service was nice & welcoming. I placed and order over the phone for pickup and everything was ready in 15 minutes. Will come again! As we approached the surrounding grim industrial area we had some doubts about any restaurant that would be located amongst cold storage facilities, but the brightly colored building bedecked with beautiful paintings quickly allayed our fears. And it only got better. Inside was cheerful colorful decor and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. But what of the food? The food is elegant and the seasoning subtle. The salsa that came with the chips was unlike any I have had before, lighter, maybe creamier than you would expect salsa to be but absolutely amazing. We got the fried calamari to start. It did not come with a dipping sauce but the flavors were so delightful it did not need it. My boyfriend ordered a snapper with linguini - they have a surprising number of Italian entrees. One of the staff members informed him that the linguini was homemade. My boyfriend completely cleaned his plate. I had the skirt steak which was so big that I'll have enough for lunch the next day. It too was excellent and cooked to my medium rare specification. There were so many items on the menu that looked appealing that we'll have to return to try them. Do not be fooled by the neighborhood. This is fancy dining. And they have a live singing guitar player on Fridays and Saturdays to boot whom we thoroughly enjoyed. A true diamond in the rough. We live all the way in Philadelphia but we love this place so much we will absolutely be back. And we only picked it because it's near the Delsea drive in movie theater! read more

The restaurant serves half Mexican & half Italian dishes but they should really stick to the Italian food. That's why I gave one star. The Mexican food was not edible. We ordered 3 quesadillas- each had soggy tortillas that weren't heated or grilled in any way with dry chicken that tasted like it was out of a can. The cheese was tasteless and indescribable. That night 2 people had stomach aches & one diarrhea. Conversely two people had the Italian food - chicken franchaise & penne vodka. Both raved about those dishes and no sickness from it. read more

My girlfriend and I decided to try a new place for my birthday. Upon entering, I noticed the bright decor, Spanish music, and we were greeted by the owner with a kind welcome. We were seated to a nice table with a table cloth, cloth napkins and served water by a gracious server. We were presented very nice menus. The menu had a nice selection of Mexican and Italian. We ordered the appetizer and guacamole and chips. The owner came over with a cart, began cutting a fresh avocado and began to add fresh cilantro, onion, fresh squeezed lime juice. The food was amazing and the dessert was out of this world!!! We were very please with the attentiveness of the waiter always topping off our glass with water. I can't wait to go back. Our dinner as usual was fantastic! We had 2 Italian dishes with homemade linguine and chicken which were delicious, and two Mexican dishes that were enjoyed immensely. The molcajete was presented in a large stone bowl with shrimp, cactus, guacamole and vegetables with a side of rice, beans and tortillas that was amazing and then an evening special with steak. The seasonings used on our food were more Caribbean... like the chicken on the fajitas were seasoned with adobo and sazón. Had they simply seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper, they would have been fantastic with the pico and other sides- no need for sazón with achiote on that dish. But we tipped well and we will give it another chanceC perhaps just a one day fluke... maybe their regular cook was sick that day. read more
