They could at least start a wait list by phone or online. Yet, we took our chances and then spent the almost hour wait talking with other customers and looking around at the nautical knickknacks and memorabilia. The food was the star anyhow! So, once we got in I have to say it was worth it. Something not advertised is that every meal came with a bowl of house salad. A lovely touch and a tasty starter. There was also a complimentary bread basket. We ordered a couple of apps that were very delicious! I loved the top neck clams served with butter. My daughter had shrimp parm, which she loved. I noted the shrimp were enormous! My husband had fried chicken, and he enjoyed it. Goes to show, they really have something for everyone and do everything they offer really well! My father had a steak and veggies. I went full seafood and wound up very happy! I really believe my dish was some of the best broiled seafood I have ever had! Additionally, there was an older staff member who was loudly cursing and creating a disturbance in the dining area, making comments such as, "Watch, there's still customers." This was unprofessional and took away from the dining experience. We've been loyal customers for years because we've always enjoyed the food and welcoming atmosphere. That's why this visit was especially disappointing. It's unfortunate because this is one of the few family-owned seafood restaurants in the area, and we've always enjoyed supporting it. The current owners, who I think are a brother & sister duo who took over a few years ago, have done so much to elevate the overall dining experience, especially the food. They are breaking out of the typical local model with the food, offering items like tuna tartare, grilled octopus and goat cheese crostini. I really appreciate that effort. More traditional dishes are still on offer though, like seafood platter, steak, clams & linguine, etc. I dine here once or twice a year when in town to visit my family, and each time it gets better! On our last visit, our entire party was pleased with their selections with standouts being the tuna tartare, fried flounder and the incredible desserts (banana pudding pie and key lime pie.) The desserts as well as a wide selection of drinks are all made in house and it shows. We brought our own beer & wine - I think Fortescue is a dry town. I'm not sure why there is resistance to a place like The Charlesworth serving their customers with wine & beer ‍ The Charlesworth is not an everyday dining spot due to the pricing, but I understand how expensive it is to run a nice restaurant with these offerings in an area like Downe Township, so I think the cost is justified for a special meal. It's cute that they give you a tray of old costume rings to sift through and select one to take home. The rings are fast becoming a fun tradition for our family - the kids love it! The service is warm and friendly which makes the overall experience that much better. Definitely give the Charlesworth a try!

Each order was made to order, but the wait for my food was minimal. Two woman were in the truck preparing food fast and furiously! I ordered a beef taco and chicken sopes. The taco came on two soft corn tortillas, fresh cut onion, and cilantro. Why do I butcher the simplicity of tacos with sour cream, gauc, and salsa? This taco with three ingredients was amazing! The beef was tender with a mild flavor, the fresh chopped onion and cilantro complimented the beef nicely. No condiments needed! The sopes was on thicker corn tortilla with the edges turned up so the filling didn't fall off. It was packed with refried beans, seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. While not as simple in flavors as a taco with three ingredients, it too, was amazing! The chicken was in a light red sauce, not dripping wet, but tender. It was hard to tell if the refrieds were fresh or not, but they tasted authentic either way. The lettuce was shredded thinly, and the dollop of sour cream was just enough, not too little, not too much. I will eat from Rosa's again!

It was delicious and that ricotta cheese took it to another level (see pics)! Another thing I loved about Cafe San Rocco was how attentive the service was.
