Ordered a cheesesteak online and it came with NO CHEESE. I called the restaurant and was told I was supposed to add the cheese myself. Umm... it's literally called a CHEESESTEAK. ‍ I asked to speak to a manager and got the exact same response, with not even an apology. I was told they "just updated the online menu." Okay... then maybe the menu should clearly say that cheese is no longer included in a cheesesteak? And if multiple customers are calling because of the change, maybe acknowledge the mistake and apologize instead of blaming the customer. I've never had to specifically request cheese on a cheesesteak before. Very disappointing customer service, especially when the restaurant could've easily handled this much better. read more

Enjoyed an early dinner here, first visit ever, with two friends. We shared several appetizers. All were very good, especially the bruschetta and the bacon wrapped scallops. Our server was wonderful. Atmosphere was relaxing, very large place, not crowded at the time. We felt relaxed and not rushed at all. Generous portions, we took some leftovers home. read more

Big parking lot available Party of 11 Our server handled our table all by herself and was upbeat, helpful, and on point. The stuffed flounder I was told was flavorful and enough to bring home. Everyone enjoyed their meals but I did NOT like the Lobster Ravioli. It was bland, I tried to eat it but salt and pepper wouldn't help, it needed more than that. We came to celebrate a birthday and brought our dessert. They were nice about it and even inquired about what we had. read more

1 star -because they're thieves. I had to take time out of my day, not once not twice, but MULTIPLE times to reach out to the staff and request a refund for the 2 slices of pie equaling about $15 that we never received with our pickup order. Finally, I was told that the manager would contact me about it, but never heard a word! Terrible customer service and nothing but thieves. Will not be recommending and will not be returning here unfortunately. Pretty slimy to steal $ from hardworking honest customers. read more

We attended a luncheon after a funeral, and the food was absolutely disgusting. The chicken parmigiana was bad, the sauce tasted rotten and the pasta tasted of a chemical taste. I explained this to the server, after three people at our table complained, she said she had sold several of these and no one else complained. So what? I will never step food in this establishment again. The service was poor too, they had one server assigned to the event room even with 50+ people. Take this suggestion and avoid! read more

We waited 40 minutes for our dinner. The waitress was rude, probably because she was over worked. The food was ok. There are flies every time I go there. Will not return. read more

Terrible just terrible. I don't even know where to begin honestly. Went there with my niece and brother for dinner. We got the mango habanero wings and calamari. Wings barely had any sauce and calamari was super dry. Then we got our entrees............ nightmare to say the least!! I got the seafood pasta and the seafood was slimy and the pasta seemed like it was sitting for hours. My niece got the coconut fish and it was super greasy. My brother's burger was so dry. Overall a straight up disaster.... read more

My wife and I have driven passed the Green Olive on Rt. 49 in Bridgeton, NJ many times. Each time we pass I wonder if the inside is as nice as the outside. Today, we finally stopped in and the inside is even nicer than the outside. The place is beautiful and immaculately clean. My wife ordered the roasted turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy and a garden salad. The roasted turkey was actually sliced roasted turkey, not sliced deli turkey. The gravy tasted like it was made from scratch, not poured out of a jar like most places. I ordered the grilled chicken with vegetable medley. The chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful. There was a nice assortment of vegetables that were cooked to perfection. For an extra $2.00 I added the French Onion Soup - delicious and well worth it. Our server, Heidi, was marvelous. she told us about the love and the ingredients that go into preparing their food. She was right, you could tell the difference. When the meal came out it was nice and hot. Let me tell you this place is a real gem. As for the prices I was pleasantly surprised. The prices were better, and the food was better than most places I've been to. The bottom line is that the Bridgeton Green Olive far exceeded my expectations. My wife and I look forward to our next visit. read more

Food is extremely sub par for restaurant quality prices. The drinks and desserts (that are not made in house) were the only good items. Nothing else to say other than the one and only waitress who was given our table of 20 with zero help was pleasant, accommodating, and did her very best. read more

Green Olive Restaurant - Italian Near Me - Bridgeton, New Jersey

The rating of 3 stars is a split between 5 stars for the food and 1 star for the service. New Jersey is still running at reduced capacity for indoor seating. I cam here with 2 customers and a colleague for lunch. After a brief wait we were seated in a socially distanced area. Masks are required except for eating. I would think that food service workers would be the best at providing service especially with reduced customers. Our waitress couldn't have gotten anything right. I ordered the Chipotle Turkey Panini special which came with soup or salad. I ordered the clam chowder which was excellent. The sandwich was open faced, but I was able to eat it like a sandwich while my colleague decided to use a knife and fork. How was it that our server was capable of getting all 4 orders to the wrong person? Drink refills? Forget about it! I would think there's enough capable talent out there to fill whatever food service positions are available. She even took it upon herself to divide up the checks until I told her it was all on one bill. read more

Not sure why this place has only three stars. We stopped in for lunch while waiting for our new car to be detailed. the server was attentive and the food was delicious and huge portions. Only thing I would change is a dipping sauce for the breadsticks. We had the Mediterranean Chicken and Chicken Marsala....both had great flavors and we really could have shared one! We will definitely be back. read more

We decided to eat here for breakfast. Be aware they are short staff so service is a bit slow. We were a party of 7 so we waited 10mins for seating. The waitress seemed nervous as her hands were shaky; but overall she did her best with serving our party. I would like to note it took an hour to receive our food after ordering and one of our orders was incorrect (the manager did come over to make sure we were satisfied) I ordered the spinach omelette w/ a side of bacon. The food was delicious overall. The bacon tasted sweet and the home fries needed a bit of salt & pepper. Overall a decent experience and tasty food. Please note they have limited vegan options. read more

The food was ok I was expecting a bit more since everyone suggests it for a gathering..

Well I placed an order 4:12. Still sitting here didn't even get my order yet it is 5:40. Please go some where else for food during COVID. They don't know how to manage orders properly. Person next to us said they ordered food at 9am and had to pick it up 5:00pm. read more

I arrived after a horrific experience with the Olive Garden. I drove my 2008 Honda minivan to The Green Olive upset. The car ended up having a flat tire because a Olive Garden waiter ended up slashing it. The manager and all the employees ended up fixing up my car and then brought me inside. While inside they introduced me to Mr. Beast who gave me a new Tesla. Thank you for everything Green Olive! I am forever grateful read more

Ok, WOW, the service from Jasmine is and was first class, personable, authentic, genuine and just an amazing human being that really brought the service to a whole new level. The service was great but the crab soup had a horrible smell as though a major ingredient was spoiled. An aroma that the kitchen staff had to be aware of. I hope after informing the waitress, management would remove that item from the menu until they resolve the issue. read more

I didn't think it was possible to find a four star worthy place in deep South Jersey. But it's happened. The family's been here a few times and loves the place. Meh, I think in my inflated NYC head, I don't believe in good south jersey food until I experience it for myself. So I finally checked it out for lunch the other day, and I really gotta give the place props. We each had a "petite" meal, which was anything but petite. For $14.95, we each got a respectable garden salad (not the usual iceberg lettuce, cabbage and carrot shreds typical of South Jersey spots- but actual greens- romaine and spring greens), a very sizeable portion of lump crab meat stuffed something or other (I got the stuffed jumbo shrimp, while others in my party got the stuffed flounder, stuffed salmon and stuffed mushrooms- all delicious), an amazing sauteed vegetable medley ("vegetable medley" usually conjures up images of bland, steamed frozen cauliflower, peas, and carrots-- but this vegetable medley kinda blew my mind. The vegetables were fresh and not frozen, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly sauteed to a nice al dente-ness), a nicely baked potato (a couple of people in our party asked for a sweet potato substitute, which the waitress happily accommodated and replaced with a nicely roasted sweet potato topped with brown sugar and honey), AND a choice of homemade pudding (pumpkin, bread pudding or rice pudding) or ice cream. We decided to share a couple of slices of cheesecakes (the restaurant offers a selection of Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes... I know all my new york folks are rolling their eyes right now... but Cheesecake Factory is about as good as you're gonna get in these parts)-- which I gotta admit was a pretty good ending. Service was prompt, waitress was patient and accommodating, and restaurant has a homey/family run feel. Apparently the pastas here are also good... although, I'm still skeptical of how good Italian can be in these parts... Nevertheless, it's good to know there are at least some very solid options. read more

My husband and I came here for lunch on 3/20/22 Our bill came to $37.84, when the young lady scanned and printed my receipt for me to sign I noticed I was charged $68.20. After she spoke with the manager she proceeded to process our correct amount on top of the 68.20. I asked when can I expect to be refunded the $68.20, she responded "1-3 business days" This is terrible customer service. Our meal wasn't even worthy of 37.84 let alone 106.04 ‍ read more

This place is hit or miss. The linguini with clam sauce is always delicious. The beer and wine selection is great but the salmon is not good. I would not recommend getting the salmon here. It did not taste fresh. They also have a serious fly problem. I counted over 20 flies swarming around and above my table. Which totally destroyed my appetite. There has to be a way for them to get rid of the flies. I am sure a good pest control company can help them eradicate the flies. For the price this place is worth checking out. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone on it. But beware of the flies. read more

Glorified diner food AND WAY overpriced. Red sauce has no taste on my friends chicken parm. Seafood is NOT fresh! Flies are EVERYWHERE. Prime Rib IS NOT primerib- flash fried, reheated prime rib and the seasoning was gross. Drinks are WAAAY OVERPRICED. Pick a different restaurant read more

This place is really expensive. Spent 17+$$ for 1 chicken breast sliced in half with mashed potatoes and some frozen veggies. They have put a lot of money into remodelling this place. They now have a full bar. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, with a fireplace and an awesome fish pond complete with turtles, which entertains the kids. The service was friendly, but a little slow tonight--it was quite busy, so that may be forgivable. The food has been consistantly good the last few visits. The veal cordon bleu was not exactly what we were expecting, but it had a good taste. The deserts look delish, but I had to call it quits. If you haven't been for a while it is worth a revisit, especially since they have updated their menu recently. There are not a whole lot of choices in this area, so a finer semi-upscale establishment with a kid's menu that serves alcohol is always welcome. read more

Was over charged , I was scammed ordered a crab melt and returned the fries (this is take out due to the covid 19) because they didn't have the original fries only old Wendy fries. I returned the fries because I should've been made aware of they didn't have the restaurant fries only Wendy fries , My receipt says one thing but my bank transaction says another . If you do the math they cashier tipped herself . Be careful paying with a card. I wonder how many people they do this too . The service was horrible because the cashier didn't wear a mask or gloves while touching food . I also asked for a cake since my fries was old and brown and soggy ./Wendy fries she did not wash or put gloves on when I asked for my cake. I will be reporting this as fraud to my bank also I will be speaking to the supervisor or owner about this . read more

Green Olive Restaurant - Paid for my crab melt + fries and was scammed - Italian Near Me - Bridgeton, New Jersey

Just had breakfast at the Millville location. I had heard that the decor was very nice, and that didn't disappoint! It reminds me of the Cheesecake Factory, which may have been intentional since they used to get their cheesecake from there. I was not impressed with the food or the service. The dining room is large, with only one waitress this morning. They weren't busy yet as we were there early, but the kitchen and coffee were not convenient for her. So, coffee refill was a wait, and she had a large area to cover. Food was okay, but everything arrived just slightly warm, not hot enough, including the coffee which tasted slightly watery. Pancakes kind of chewy, husband didn't eat sausage after a bite or two. Eggs okay. Close inspection of table and dining area was dusty around the edges, we won't be in a rush to go back. read more

I'm a regular here, if that tells you anything. This restaurant is consistent with offering delicious menu items. Their specials are always delicious. They have THE BEST chicken quesadilla around and on Fridays they have excellent cream of crab soup. Their staff are always friendly and attentive. I've never had bad service here. It's also super clean. They offer petite meals which come with dessert (pudding or ice cream) as do all the specials. They carry Cheesecake Factory desserts. During the indoor dining shutdown, we ordered takeout from here several times. Our orders were always ready on time and correct. If you're looking for a great place to eat in this area, go here! Make sure you eat the rolls and dip them in the oil! AMAZING! read more

Not the same like the previous owners. Everything is more expensive & smaller. You would be better to try the Amish market.

Metal in take out order: It's been a week since I found a curled piece of metal in my chowder. I took the piece back to the restaurant to show the manager or owner the next morning after throwing out our entries. The girl behind the said someone would call me back ASAP. Seemed she was more interested in eating her eggs behind the counter than listening to me explain how I almost swallowed this piece of metal. I live very close and use to go there a lot but the help is terrible and the food is certainly not consistent. read more

We have driven by Green Olive many times when it was not convenient to stop. Today (New Year's Day) was different and we stopped for lunch. While the restaurant was not crowded, it had a steady stream of customers and there was plenty of polite and helpful staff. My wife had the Prime Rib Cheese Steak sandwich and I had the French Dip sandwich. We each had a cup of the Cream of Broccoli soup. My wife's soup was included with her sandwich as she had chosen one of the several lunch specials. Both lunches came with really good French Fries. Also we received warm rolls and olive oil dipping sauce with our soup courses. Both of the rolls in our sandwiches and the rolls that came with the soup were delicious. A restaurant can make or break its reputation as a place for sandwiches by how good the bread is. Here Green Olive excels. They do not skimp on the insides of the sandwiches either. The beef in both of our sandwiches was tender and plentiful. My au jus was very flavorful as were the onions and peppers in my wife's sandwich. The sandwiches were probably 10 to 12 inches long and each of us took home half of our sandwich as we will have them for lunch tomorrow. read more
