This is one of the nicer Aldi's in the area - their selection is good, store is relatively clean and the prices cannot be beat! I rely on this location for a lot of pantry staples. There's lots of affordable snacks as well as items for "ingredient households" Don't sleep on the seasonal items and coffee and wine selection. Aldi's carries a lot of organic items and gluten free options. When you check out, prepare to hustle! You'll be expected to bag your own groceries with a swiftness. I was in line for 15 minutes when the cashier told me to get in another line. He had turned his light off about 3 customers ahead of me, but continued to check them out. Please train your employees of a more civil and positive way to close a check out line. Don't just tell someone after they have been in your line 15 minutes, to go get in another line. This is very bad management and poor customer service. Please seek some training for your employees in this area immediately. read more

This location is too small and only one register was open at 5 pm with a line of 6 deep. Young lady cashier was sweet but was just throwing stuff in our cart. Not happy with the fact that the German items this store has were brats and they were made in Wisconsin. Not one can or jar of sauerkraut. Selection was far less than the other Aldi's I've been in. read more

Busy little store. Great place to load up on fruits and vegetables for juicing and healthy eating because they are typically much lower cost than other stores and okay quality, especially for juicing. Don't forget your quarter for the shopping cart and best to bring your own bags for sacking. Steer clear of the macaroni and cheese, not good here. read more

Aldi is a reliable place to get staple groceries. I come here for my basics but I don't buy produce at Aldi. I like how Aldi has interesting things that come into the store seasonally, like garden items, kids toys, shelving things, etc... I love my Aldi's in Rowlett. It's convenient and the people who work there are super nice. There are a lot of things that I can't find. They aren't consistent from week to week and you would think that prunes would be with raisins instead of canned fruit. Also grits have been discontinued. This is the South. We need grits. Also I wished the carts used by store employees to stock weren't so big. It's hard to get past them. I'm really considering just bypassing Aldi's if I have to constantly go elsewhere for things. I understand it isn't full stop shopping but I really would like consistency from week to week. read more

I was shopping Aldi's almost weekly until they closed for remodeling. The remodel made good use of additional space and the layout change was good, however they added a lot more non-grocery items, most of which you can find at WalMart or Big Lots for the same cost. I am not a fan of the new space being dedicated to so much non-grocery items (with exceptions of typical household goods like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc). I enjoy the "small-town charm" shopping at Aldi's offers, the variety of foods, some common name-brands and others the Aldi brand, and have found all to be very comparable in taste and use. But I would not shop there for garden stuff, clothing, or other types of non-grocery/non household items. read more

I love our local Aldi. I have to shop at higher priced stores due to having a gluten allergy and it is a hit or miss with certain items. Last year I found one gluten free product from Aldi and it tasted amazing. I went back several times, each time I went they added more Gluten free products. Aldi's Live G Free brand is $2-3 cheaper (if not more) than name brand gf items in other stores and honestly, the taste is much more pleasant. I am a regular of Aldi now and recommend them to all of my friends or online folks that have to adhere to a strict gluten free lifestyle. Just make certain you have a debit card or cash as they do not accept credit cards, bring a quarter for your basket rental (you get it back) and your own bags. I shop at this Aldi at lest once a week and love it! The Aldi team is fast, are always working hard and I have heard them offer extra help to several customers. I once saw them go to the back to get a ladder so the could rescue a child's balloon from the ceiling. They are so nice to me and I have noticed that the same employees have been there for the 18 months I've lived in this neighborhood-a very good sign in my opinion. I love how (for the most part) it's just groceries in the store so I can do a weeks worth of shopping in about 20 minutes! My husband and I love shopping at Aldi. It started several years ago and our kids were little. Aldi was my favorite place because the kids didn't get so distracted with all the options and we could shop easily. Aldi in Rowlett has great customer service. I've been shopping at aldi for awhile now, but this may be the first time I felt a little unhappy with the service of the place. This rating is for this location and regards to a long hair tall girl at this store. I know service isn't what you get here as people come here for the low cost of everything. And you don't expect any greetings or how can I help you with anything kind of service. I wasn't mad about that at all. I was waiting in line and the tall girl with long blonde hair was checking out people. I was waiting in line to be next as she pointed at me and have her hand gesturing me to move to the next time. I kept looking to who she's pointed to. The next line have a long groceries and looked to be longer. I asked why are you closed? She said it doesn't matter. So I moved and then she help the next in line. Terrible service or what I am not sure. I left the store not very happy and wondered if I should just said something to the manager of the store. But thinking why bother? I would rather let them lose me as a customer. read more
