The staff was friendly, and the manager stood out in particular super helpful and clearly knew the menu well. She took the time to walk us through some of the base and topping options, which made the process easy, especially for a first-timer. The restaurant itself was bright and very clean, which I appreciated. The only downside was there was a bit of a weird smell nothing overpowering, but noticeable enough to mention. It didn't ruin the experience, just something that took away from the otherwise fresh vibe. All in all, it's a solid spot for a healthy treat. Not quite a 5-star visit this time, but I'd definitely come back to try more combinations.

The decor is minimal but bright, mostly images of the items they sell. Service was excellent. I ordered the Almond Berry Açaí bowl & it may have been one of the best things I've tasted this month. It was very refreshing, filling, and flavorful. On the menu it shows this bowl being discontinued because this location doesn't have any mulberries, but Lauren was sweet enough to let me still get it and substitute the mulberries for another fruit. I chose pineapple which was good, but I think was either canned or frozen based on the texture. All the other fruits were fresh and sweet. If you're not into açaí bowls that's fine because they offer a variety of other refreshments (smoothies, avocado toast, paninis etc). One thing I noticed before I left was that they're participating in Toys for Tots, so from now through December they're accepting new unwrapped gifts to be donated to those without for the holiday season. What an incredibly thoughtful way to give back to the community. So if you're in the area, give this place a chance to feed your mind body and spirit.

At this location, the fruit cup was significantly smaller than what I've received elsewhere--essentially a small cup of strawberries with very little Nutella for nearly $6. When we politely showed the manager, Kaylyn, photos of fruit cups from other locations, she dismissed our concerns and simply said, "We do it different here." When we questioned why this location was so different from every other Playa bowl we've visited, she rudely told us she would give us a larger cup to pour the strawberries into ourselves, but she would not remake it. Rather than handling the situation professionally, she laughed and exchanged looks with her coworkers while we were expressing our concerns, all in front of a new employee who appeared to be in training. She also rolled her eyes during the interaction. As someone in a management position, I found that behavior completely unprofessional. The owner came over and explained that this location does things differently, but no solution was offered. We also noticed the coffee tasted different from other Pliable locations and observed different ingredients being used than what we were told. The biggest disappointment was not the product itself, but the poor customer service and lack of professionalism when handling a reasonable customer concern. This is the first Playa bowl location I've visited that I would not return to. I've attached photos to show the different fruit cups I had ordered at a Tennessee location vs the rockwall location.
