Delicious fast casual restaurant inside the Sara's Market and Bakery making kabob plates and wraps…read more Very fresh food cooked right in front of you and 4 stools available to eat in. Steak kabobs are made with filet mignon cuts! The grill makes lots of specials like Lamb Loin and Wagyu beef. The deserts are made in house and they even make a baklava with cheese called warbat. Incredible Dallas gem so good I kinda don't even want to share.

This was a fabulous adventure! We took a few hours to visit Sarahs Market and ate lunch at their S Grill. The market is very small, but every inch of its space is very special. First, we found our way to the back corner and sat at a tiny countertop with only 4 chairs. The counter faces an open top grill, and you're able to talk/ watch the chefs make the food. The menu is limited and pricey! We ordered one steak kabob ($26.00). The steak was served medium rare, very juicy, on top of a long rice (similar to rice pasta), and it was coated in a delicious seasoning completely unfamiliar to us. It came with roasted tomatoes & purple onion. You can select from several sides, we picked the hummus. It was a huge portion, enough for 2 people. The chef was so pleased to have us and was very impressed that we were there to learn. He gave us many "generous" sized samples of the sides and sauces they offered. Everything was made in-house, from scratch with fresh ingredients from their grocery store. It was a wonderful experience! The bakery aspect of this location is a small glass display case full of sweets, like macaroons, cheesecake baklava, and more. Most of them were new to us. The pastry chef gave us a few samples that had us buying a bunch to take home, lol. We strolled through the grocery store part of the market before leaving and bought a few items we already enjoyed. The difference was buying things that are made in-house, like pita bread. You can definitely see, smell, and taste the difference. A FIVE STAR review for their authenticity, hospitality, and delicious fresh food. If you're in the area you've got to try the Grilled Kabobs.

When I'm traveling and don't have the comforts of my grocery stores and restaurants nearby, my go…read moreto is Yelp. I use Yelp for everything to find what the locals are talking about. I was craving for healthy Middle Eastern goodies and Blue Fig came up on Yelp. We ventured to this store located in a sparse shopping center in the middle of beautiful homes. What we found... Ample parking Clean interior and for its small space it certainly carries many essential items: Home made flat bread - a must! It's baked on the old stone round ovens. I found rose water used for cooking in savory dishes and even in the sweets I bake. A tip for you ladies, the rose water in Middle Eastern markets are well priced and I use it as a toner for my face. I found some frozen Indian Roti in the frozen section amongst many other international goodies. Also, my favorite Turkish cheese or Lebanese cheese Labneh was priced well. Also got a can of garbanzo beans to make home made hummus. Definitely a must to go here if you are in the area. All the prices were reasonable. Why 4 star and not 5. There was only one cashier open and she was talking to another worker as the lines started to get longer. As for service you will have to look for it and ask questions. Overall a good first time experience and got all the necessary items we needed. I almost forgot, they have a small fresh fruits and vegetables section. Enjoy!

Very disappointing experience -- I will not be returning…read more I have been shopping at Blue Fig International Market for the past few months, but after my experience on 5/23/2026, I no longer feel comfortable supporting this business. About a week prior, I purchased two bags of basmati rice from this store by mistake. When I returned a week later to shop again, I brought the unopened rice back with me hoping to exchange it for the correct item. Unfortunately, the store refused to assist because I did not have the receipt. I understand stores have return policies, but in today's world, many customers do not keep paper receipts, and most businesses can look up purchases using the credit card used. I was told they could not do that unless the owner was present, which made the return process feel disorganized and not customer-friendly. What bothered me even more was the way the situation was handled. The store representative called the owner and spoke in Arabic, not realizing that I understood the conversation. From what I heard, they appeared unsure whether the rice came from their store and seemed concerned about theft, even though I explained that I was a regular customer and was simply trying to correct an honest mistake. I also felt uncomfortable because it appeared the employee may have taken a photo of me while speaking with the owner, without asking for my permission. Overall, the experience left me feeling disrespected and mistrusted as a customer. A simple exchange could have been handled professionally, but instead it turned into an uncomfortable and disappointing interaction. Based on this experience, I personally will be taking my business elsewhere and would encourage others to consider shopping at a market with clearer policies, better customer service, and more respectful treatment of customers.
