Wedge bootie sneaker Flat mules $9.99 each

I have been an avid shopper of Aldi since the 90s, first in Europe and then when I settled in the Midwest. My friends had told me how great the store is. Now during the current food prices increase and its close proximity to me I use it very often. My shopping habits reflect on my foreign travels. I prefer picking up fresh produce every 2 days so I don't waste money nor food as an empty nester. They have the most flavorful produce for a chain. Fruit that actually has flavor. My Bolthouse juice is usually dollar cheaper than Harris Teeter. On today's excursion I found the fire safes @ 26.99 each and instantly checked with my sister if she needed one. The cutest little Wedge sneaker caught my eye and again I grabbed them for my sister. The isle that carries retail merchandise is always loaded with goodies from child to adults plus ur pets. And FYI to all my wine aficionados the selections are always at a great price and after shopping you will be glad you purchased the wine just to mellow out at the end of this wet, chilly day.

I love an Aldie and was thrilled to have a new one conveniently located on my way home from work! This new Aldie went in where a Kroger grocery store once resided conveniently off of Creedmoor. It did not disappoint! A wide variety of fresh produce at very reasonable prices is the number one reason. Expect to pay a quarter in for your cart which is returned when you return your cart expect. Expect to bag your own groceries so pack your recycle bags or you can purchase them at the checkout. Cash or card sales only. Nice selection of cheeses from around the world, however, you can't always find exactly what you're looking for. Today no feta for me. Large bread and bakery selection. Canned goods are limited and basic. Plenty of low cost snacks, cereal, nuts, chips, lunchbox friendly foods. Do not fear the Winking Owl wines at $2.49. Other wines and beer available.

The produce and meat items are the best prices. I enjoyed the setup of this store easy to find items and not crowded.

Millstone Creek Orchards - Apple cider float + apple cider donuts

Friends and I went to pick apples at Millstone Creek Orchards. We arrived and checked in under the…read moreport. We were given samples of a few different apples from the orchard while we were given instructions. We took a 5 minute hayride down to the section of apples that we would be selecting from. I'm not sure if we had come at the end or close to the end of the season but the apples that were available weren't the best. After apple picking, we took the ride back to the entrance where we shopped in the Apple Barn. The cider (non alcoholic) slushie was delicious. My favorite part of my entire time was eating the cider donuts. Made fresh and they melt in your mouth. We also visited the Cider House. They have a small selection of hard cider, other beverages, & a small selection of food. I do wish they had more options for folks that can't have dairy or don't eat pork. Overall experience was cute and the staff were friendly. If you plan on doing any of the picking from any of the orchards you can be cute but be comfy. It's a working orchard so there will be hay, dirt, bugs, etc.

You have to purchase tickets online (no on-site sales) and it's $18.95 pp which gives you access to the apple orchard, apple tasting, hayride to the orchard, cider pressing demonstration with a fresh cider sample and access to the catch and release fishing pond. They suggest that you bring your own pole and bait. You also get to sample an apple cider slushee which was refreshing after being in the sun picking apples. If you want to pick apples, it's an additional cost based on whether you want a 1/4 peck or 1/2 peck. You have to purchase that when you purchase your event ticket. The apples that they had available were Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Fuji and a really tart apple that's good for baking (I forget the name of the apple). They also have Arkansas Black apples but they weren't ready for picking yet. We had a great time picking apples. We're from South Florida where you only see apples in the grocery store. There's a play area for the kids to run around and play. It's a fun activity, especially if you have kids.
