We don't go grocery shopping often and tend to do one big trip once or twice a month. Having said that, most of the products here were either expiring within a few days or were already expired. I was looking at some cheese, I sometimes do the "manager's special" which means it's expiring soon. The cheese I picked up was completely molded. The produce section is a hit or miss. Nearly all of the bags of premade salads were expiring within a few days and the onions had fruit flies and bruising all over them. The soon-to-be expired food selection really makes grocery shopping for the month really difficult. On top of pricing, this is no longer the cheaper grocery store option in Wake Forest. The staff have always been lovely and oddly enough, I've made connections with quite a few people working in the checkout section. Unfortunately, due to high prices and nearly expired food every visit, I won't be coming back.

Instead we got a white cake and white frosting. We were told at pick up "I can try to fix it" but did not tell us what that meant. More likely than not just scraping the frosting off and putting on new. She did take off the price of putting the logo on and then offered the wonderful excuse " The logo is better on white anyway yellow frosting would tint the logo yellow" Guest services said "Oh, I'm sorry" and did not offer any assistance whatsoever. The correct answer should have been "What can I do take make it right". Now we know why it's guest services and not customer service as they provided no real customer service Overall our experience with the bakery and a custom order was terrible as was the lack of caring at guest services. I would consider not using them for custom orders or be specific in telling the to do what you ordered and don't make changes.

So tonight I shopped at both Lidl & Food Lion, and scored big by shopping at Lidl first…read more I love Lidl for many reasons, one like stores their prices are compared too, you don't have to have a quarter for a cart (because who really remembers that every time they go to get a cart), but you do have to pay for bags if you don't bring your own, or just have a bunch of groceries sitting in your car. They have great produce, and you're not always limited to buying a bag full of an item, when you really only need 2. They have more variety and lots of name brands at better prices. I hadn't been in awhile and was shocked to see Land O Lakes cheese, Frito Lay Brand snacks, Coke products to name a few brands. You definitely save money here. Plus they have an app which has all the goodies and coupons. They have all the meat, cheeses, selection of refrigerated pastas (to name a few)that you would think it's a specialty. Oh and in another review I mentioned how mouth watering their bakery is. I'll definitely drive the extra mile to go to Lidl.

You can buy hummus on one side and turn around and buy a trampoline. The prices are decent so there's no issue there. It's just not what I remembered Lidl to be. The flow of the aisles were confusing, too. If I had to describe it, it's like a marketplace version of Costco. I do want to visit again during day hours because their bakery section looked like it would be great. Unfortunately, I visited around 7:30pm and most of the bakery items were gone.

He probably has not been trained to engage with customers, I don't think he's a bad guy or needs discipline or anything like that, Just some training in basic customer service. Wow. This location is an epic mess. Stopped by to purchase a Lidl gift card for a housewarming…read moregift. Very long lines, only two registers open. Tried to use self checkout (only two open!) and the register couldn't read the gift card code. I waited for an employee to see the alert at my register - a young man came over and basically said "it can't read the card, I don't know". He was lacking any customer service skills. Back into line again. The line I was in had credit card reader issues, lines were growing exponentially longer as we all waited. An employee was trying to remedy the reader situation, it was not resolved. The employees were not very friendly. Store was messy, crowded and overall I couldn't wait to get out of there! Absolutely won't visit this location again. The WF Lidl is worlds better.

The check out process is so easy using the Amazon app. It's convenient returning Amazon packages here, and typically I don't have to wait in a line to return items.

The staff is alway so friendly and helpful. The prices are great. I always have to get a few croissants....they are so flaky and buttery.
