We went on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed so we had to circle to find a spot. Luckily, there seem to always be people coming AND going so it only took a few minutes. Freshfields Farm is split up into 3 distinct areas - the fresh meat store, the fresh produce store, and the ice cream (and hot dog) window. We decided to head to the meat entrance first. The area is not that big but it is just lots of selections of fresh meat, cheese and butter. The meats seemed to be pretty good prices, slightly below Publix where I normally shop. There was ground beef, turkey, steak, chicken and seafood. Plus some huge cuts of meat like picanha and ribs. If you are going to have a BBQ, this is the place to go. Also, workers were constantly bringing out new packages and some people were waiting for them. I picked up 2 pounds of ground beef and some boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The cashiers were nice and super quick. Then we headed outside and then next door to the produce section. Basically the same as the meat department but filled with produce. There were bins of fresh strawberries when we walked in as well as avocados, a whole section of bananas and plantains, rainbow carrots, and even full cacao pods! I'm guessing they just showcase fresh seasonal produce so for example, while there were fresh plums, I didn't see navel oranges. There was also a fridge case full of squeezed juices and lemonades. And a big section of various types of mushrooms. I got a package of sliced cantaloupe and a big pack of 30 eggs. We checked out the ice cream window, which looked super yummy but because we hadn't eaten lunch yet, we decided we'll come back another time to try it.

I shop at other grocery stores too, but this place is definitely becoming one of my favorites. You can also bring your own reusable bags, which is a nice bonus. The parking lot can be a little difficult on weekends, but overall I highly recommend this place!

We've been going for a few years now and each year they add small amenities like hand washing stations, rides around the property and picture spots. Parking is free. A bucket at this time in 2025 is $20. We each grab a bucket and take a different row; plan for about an hour to fill it. Feel free to taste to make sure you're getting the kind you like (sweet, sour and mid sour). When paying there is other local offerings like honey (wish they came in a smaller offer)

There are acres of blueberries growing in neat rows, and they're full of fruit. You enter the farm, park in a grassy field, grab a bucket at a table by the orchard, and head out to pick. The helpful people who give you the buckets tell you a bit about the varieties that they grow, and about the colored streamers on each row that tell you which variety is growing there. Here in Central Florida it gets hot early in the year, so the plants fruit early. What's comfy for the plants is comfy for us, so picking is usually in great weather. When you've finished picking enough, you take the bucket back to the table and pay for what you picked. By comparison, what costs you $8 at a store like Walmart costs you $6 at Beck Brothers farm. So go now, or plan for next April, and get enough blueberries to make your jam, your ice cream, your muffins and pies. Freeze the excess and you'll always be ready to eat the berries that your family and friends picked on a lovely Spring day.

The ones more genuine and seemed "happy" to be there were the men and women in the little separated cooked food area when you first walk in (you pay separately there, so maybe they are not affiliated with the actual store). Picked up some Asian (Chinese?) roasted pork strips (butt or shoulder?), which later turned out to be as good as it looked. Entered the market itself and was pretty amazed at how much they had to offer. I picked up some fresh chicken wings and goat meat (plan to smoke them) from the meat department. The employee there was not as disgruntled, but wasn't amicable either. I ended up picking up a few fresh vegetables, packaged spice mixes & bottled sauces, and what was left of the "real" wasabi (not the light green stuff a vast majority of sushi places provide). There was a lot of hustle and bustle happening at this place no doubt. I will return when in need of any Asian flavors or vegetables; or for more of that delicious roasted pork. Unless of course I find an Asian market closer to home that offers the array of products I want. My only real disappointment was having a cucumber rot within 1.5 days and having to toss it.
