Plus its fun! 4Roots Farm came across my IG feed and immediately, yes, had to visit. It is located on John Young Pkwy, off of E. Colonial Dr. There is plenty of parking. It is so pretty. As soon as you drive up you can see all the different types of flowers planted and growing along the driveway. Zinnias, dahlias, sunflowers & marigolds. As you walk up towards the vendors there are many more flowers, herbs and trees planted. There are flower, juice, tea, mango vendorsand the farm stand outside. The farm stand has lettuce! So happy to see lettuce. Peppers of every kind, mellow star shishito, poblano, cubanelle, jalapeño. There were not much tomatoes. But there was squash, ginger, potatoes, a variety of mushrooms, okra & green beans. Inside, in there class rooms there are food vendors, sweet things like marshmallow treats, jams, honey, spices, sourdough bread. They have jewelry & other knick knacks. They hold classes where they teach gardening & eating anti-inflammatory, creating moss balls. I was gifted a chocolate mint plant and a giant branch of Hawaiian Molokai purple sweet potato to plant. It's a fantastic program and though I love an IRL farmer's market, I don't have the ability to go weekly. The delivery fee is under $10 and so far every week has provided plenty of produce that has challenged me to cook more and eat healthy, farm fresh veggies! Highly recommend checking out their CSA program and trying it out. You can skip weeks, cancel, add one-time items (like amish butter!!), etc very easily from the website.

We went on a Sunday and the parking lot was packed so we had to circle to find a spot. Luckily, there seem to always be people coming AND going so it only took a few minutes. Freshfields Farm is split up into 3 distinct areas - the fresh meat store, the fresh produce store, and the ice cream (and hot dog) window. We decided to head to the meat entrance first. The area is not that big but it is just lots of selections of fresh meat, cheese and butter. The meats seemed to be pretty good prices, slightly below Publix where I normally shop. There was ground beef, turkey, steak, chicken and seafood. Plus some huge cuts of meat like picanha and ribs. If you are going to have a BBQ, this is the place to go. Also, workers were constantly bringing out new packages and some people were waiting for them. I picked up 2 pounds of ground beef and some boneless, skinless chicken breasts. The cashiers were nice and super quick. Then we headed outside and then next door to the produce section. Basically the same as the meat department but filled with produce. There were bins of fresh strawberries when we walked in as well as avocados, a whole section of bananas and plantains, rainbow carrots, and even full cacao pods! I'm guessing they just showcase fresh seasonal produce so for example, while there were fresh plums, I didn't see navel oranges. There was also a fridge case full of squeezed juices and lemonades. And a big section of various types of mushrooms. I got a package of sliced cantaloupe and a big pack of 30 eggs. We checked out the ice cream window, which looked super yummy but because we hadn't eaten lunch yet, we decided we'll come back another time to try it.

The staff members were very friendly, especially the cashier who helped me at the register. Her smile felt so genuine, and it honestly made me want to come back again. I even decided to pick up some peanut butter while I was there. The store was very clean and well organized, which made shopping comfortable and enjoyable. I shop at other grocery stores too, but this place is definitely becoming one of my favorites. You can also bring your own reusable bags, which is a nice bonus. The parking lot can be a little difficult on weekends, but overall I highly recommend this place!

They have a little bakery/deli that makes coffee and sandwiches. I ordered a coffee with milk and sugar with a ham, egg, cheese sandwich. I totally caught the girl making my coffee take a sip of the coffee after pouting it into my cup. I found it a bit hilarious. I get it...making sure it came out ok. My coffee was just right. I enjoyed my sandwich too. Great for a quick bite if you're in the market.

Throughout the rest of the day she kept talking about it. So, this past weekend I sampled it as well. WOW! I should have purchased a gallon it's so delicious. Need I say more? Okay... Dark leafy spinach, organic pine nuts, organic lemons, organic sweet basil & Italian herbs, fresh parmigiano-reggiano cheese swirled into creamy organic garbanzo beans. Sooooo... when we got home I dipped wheat thin sticks in it, YUM! However, later that evening I wanted to use the mushrooms I purchased as the market too but I have cream cheese so I opted to use this hummus in it. WOW, WOW, WOW! I stumbled upon this place at the Audubon Farmer's Market and it was a love at first sample. The salsa here is gluten, sugar free, and vegan plus it pairs lovely just by eating it solo. My favorite salsa is the mango salsa and I have been drowning my chicken, along with salmon with this tasty stuff! The mango salsa consist of red onions, green peppers, silantro, organic lime juice, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and sea salt. Try Demeter's harvest out if you ever see the stand at any farmers marker. This stuff it worh gallons- I second that statement!

The store is clean, well organized, and has a large parking lot, which makes every visit convenient. As expected from ALDI, the prices are consistently excellent, making it one of the best places to save on groceries without sacrificing quality. It's a practical store where you get a great balance of quality, speed, and value. The staff is also friendly and keeps the shopping experience pleasant. If you live in the MetroWest area, this is definitely a grocery store worth checking out.

It carries all of the same products that any other Aldi does, but is larger and has a better layout due to the extra space. Everything is clean and parking is always plentiful. Occasionally, this location runs out of items, but I've noticed that is true of all Aldis. If you want a specific item, it's best to arrive earlier in the day or shop on a Thursday. My reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that this location does not offer self checkout yet.

However, they have truly embraced the times and stepped up to coordinate one of the most seamless order pick ups with far more options than they can normally house in their store location in collaboration with their local farm suppliers. It was a really great way to get access to local food in a time when innovation is most appreciated as is the ability to access fresh food when the normal grocery stores are overwhelmed with visitors. I will definitely continue to support this great local business that has made things easier in a time when many things are harder. Edit: apparently the store front has closed (unrelatedly- they announced this coming change on January 8th due to a failed lease renewal) but the business is still running through their pick up at 8505 Silver Star Rd and online ordering. The system was actually designed prior to these times and just happened to line up perfectly). This family run business is passionate about improving access to locally grown and more organic foods, and they have done an amazing job.
