Aldi is starting to become my "go to" for groceries. They have great prices and speedy service, what's not to like. Yes, they do "charge" you a quarter to "borrow" the shopping cart but all of the carts I've used have been in good working order (try saying that of Walmart, Stater Bros or Vons carts) and walking back to return the cart is much appreciated extra walking (don't they say more walking is good for your health?). Bagging your own groceries isn't a new thing for me as Food4Less has had their customers doing it for years and for the better prices, I don't mind bagging my own groceries. Don't get me wrong because I like shopping at Aldi, & I like their products. However, today was the third time they've messed up on charging for items. In the past I've ignored being charged for more items of the same thing than purchased or charged more for one item, but the amounts were small and not worth going back to get the difference. Today, I got to the car, noticing I was charged $10.29 for toilet paper that was marked as $6.49. I went in and she (not the cashier, perhaps a supervisor) said no you were charged correctly in a dismissive manner. So, I said, "Let's go look." Arriving in front of the T P, she said, "Oh, the sign is on the wrong product. She went back to the cashier and said, $Give her $3.50 back cash since she paid in cash. The cashier kinda looked at her and she repeated, "Give her $3.50 back. As people were waiting, I didn't argue that $10.29 less $6.49 was $3.80. 30 cents is not that big a deal but it would have been nice to get, "A sorry for your inconvenience." Still and my favorite grocery store. Very affordable price. I always come here for my favorite Pains au Chocolat & Brioche Loaf with Chocolate Chips which both are product of France. Truly enjoy the choices here. Produces are bundled and perfect for my family of 6 . My $50 here goes a long way ;) On top of that, they always have tons of limited edition kind of products. Decided to write after reading several review critical of the staff at this store. Have been shopping here regularly now for 3 months and have never met any unpleasant staff at all. The cashiers are pleasant and fast, the prices are unbeatable, OK not the biggest range of choices but then go with what they do have and find the rest elsewhere. When I have had trouble finding something a staff member has always been helpful. Maybe I'm just lucky, maybe the bad apples have moved on, or maybe Aldi does just what it claims to do, and does it weel. read more

They don't clean their bathrooms, at least not very often. There was no sanitary seat covers. There was no toilet paper and the toilet was caked in piss and I really had to go to the bathroom. I figured Aldi would be a clean place not this one the one in Elsinore believe it or not way better condition, that is my regular Aldi. Kind of disappointed for a higher income area to be in that shitty of a condition. read more

I like that ALDI is a small store. I get overwhelmed shopping in large stores such as Stater Bros and Walmart. I've read a few reviews here complaining about the customer service. I have to say I found the customer service to be up to par with other grocery stores, if not better. I was greeted when I walked in, the person stocking was really cool and the cashier was sweet. The prices here is lower than other grocery stores in the neighborhood and so far everything I bought tastes good. Now I really wanted this store to be my go to store but unfortunately it just is not enough. I wanted to love this store, but they just do not carry enough items. It probably has about 1/3 of what Trader Joe's has to offer. I feel that they should get rid of their toy/ knick knacks/ Christmas decoration/ useless shit aisle and replace it with more food. The vegetarian options was also very limited. I had to do the rest of my shopping at a different store since I did not find everything I needed. With that said, I will still come to ALDI when I need the basic foods. read more

I had a great experience shopping here. Aldi has some major brands but do have allot of theirs. It's their store just like a Costco and Sam's club. If you are bargain shopping and just want name brands then obviously this is not the place for you. The cart issue people are complaining about is really petty. YOU GET YOUR QUARTER BACK WHEN YOU RETURN THE CART! Oh, and the parking lot isn't that big, it's not a long walk to put the cart back. So unless you are handicapped elderly etc. you are basically complaining about the fact you have to walk, which you just did, in the store...... Bagging your own items is a hassell to some of you. Seriously?? If they bagged them you would bi!$#h about squished bread and bruised fruit. You bag your own at Win Co, Sam's Club and Costco, get over it. Its no different and at least Aldi has bags for purchase if needed. This is a great store for the bargain shopper. They have low overhead because they don't have lot attendants or baggers. This in turn allows them to keep pricess lower. So in a nut shell: Decent prices, not allot of the precious name brands, bring some bags and a quarter and stop whining. read more

Incredible grocery store! Everything is private label so its all their brand and the quality is outstanding. If your not happy with something you buy just return it and they give you a refund plus a replacement item for free! Everyone is supper helpful and it cost way less then everyone else out there. Great selection of produce and meat but what I like best are the Aldi finds. ALDI finds are one time buys that come out every week. They fill the shelf but when it's gone, it's gone. Every area of the store has its own Aldi finds area with supper neat items. I will definitely be a regular at ALDI! read more

Adulting can be hard and when you can get a full cart of groceries for about $70 bucks (my most recent trip) it definitely helps out. Most of the food is pretty good , with the exception of their cheese puffs... Stay away from those haha. Sandwich meat is cheap, bananas, avocados, canned goods....all the essentials are affordable and taste good. Bagging isn't a big deal I can't believe how many people gripe about it.... They probably need someone to wipe for them as well. Great for people on a budget and the products are good. I am happy to have an Aldies in our neighborhood. read more

After reading many reviews and watching YouTube videos from ALDI customers worldwide, I contacted "customer service" at ALDI over the weekend to confirm what I had heard in the reviews or seen in the videos. I received a GENERIC boilerplate response instead of a real human being addressing each question or concern I had. And I should shop here, why? Not in this lifetime. I told my mom not to even waste her time and effort. At 82 years old, this would not be a good place for her to shop. Just how many times should a customer have to load and unload their cart with food? I am so organized that I bag my food as I shop and ask the checker/bagger to put the food back in the same bag it was in while I was shopping. Stater Bros, Vons, Target and even Winco has no issue with this, but I am nearly certain that ALDI would say "no way, it slows us down." Unless they are giving away the food, the entire business model is FUBAR, if you ask me. Plenty of good deals at other nearby stores and CUSTOMER SERVICE too! Maybe this nonsense works in Europe, but it will never catch on in the US. I agree with the other Yelp reviewer who gives the local Menifee store 1 year, at most, and "poof," it will go the way of the local Old Navy, Sport's Chalet, etc. read more

This is a new location that I stumbled upon in my Inland Empire travels. The store is clean and organized. The shelves appear to be adequately stocked (Aldi Finds are usually limited though). The cashier who assisted me, or lack thereof, was named Alejandro. Male, Hispanic, early 30's. He was so underwhelming with a bad attitude. Apparently if you buy a bunch of the same kind of item, you need to pre-count them yourself and be ready to tell him exactly how many you have. Not to mention all the hassle with bagging your own groceries. Because I didn't know how many individual flavored waters I was purchasing he got huffy and puffy with me, then didn't speak the rest of the transaction. He started just forcefully chucking all the waters on top of my other items in the basket. What a moron. I'd like to know where on earth Aldi recruits these clowns. I've tried other locations and decided Aldi isn't the place for me. There is a poor service trend that I have both heard of and experienced myself. Time to take my hard earned money elsewhere. I have shopped at this Aldi store since it first opened. Without any doubt Aldi leads the way in low prices, in fact the other day they were actually giving away water melons! Their range of products is a bit limited, but I find I can get 90% of what I need there, plus many bargains in non-food items, such as garden furniture and DIY products. The coin in the cart system, which has been common in many European countries for decades, avoids carts being left haphazardly around the parking lot. Staff are efficient, fast checkout and have always been extremely friendly and helpful on ALL my visits. read more

Prices are cheap and the cashiers have always been helpful and polite. - When it comes to the carts, sure, it may seem that it is more of a hassle than it needs to be, but honestly, how hard is it to bring a quarter to get a cart or to take your cart back? If you really can't take the cart back or don't care about losing a quarter, then just leave it for some lucky person to snatch it and get a free quarter. - If you are looking for a fully organic store, this is NOT one. They have more healthier choices than other grocery stores, but not exactly all organic. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is that Aldi is too small! You'll be lucky to get thru the aisles during rush hour. I wish they would make their locations bigger. They would be more efficient that way. read more

I like this place! I don't love it, but I like it. The atmosphere is nice and there's a big selection of organic products. It constantly smells like cleaning chemicals in there, though, but I guess it could smell like worse things! As for finding items here...it's kind of hit or miss. There's a lot of off-brand stuff, and I have to be choosy with what I buy, because I've purchased some truly regrettable foods from here (certain cuts of meat were beyond chewy). I love buying fruits and vegetables here, though, I love the gluten free collection, and they have great Alaskan salmon! Sometimes awesome name brand products will show up, too! This is a nice store. It's very clean and well organized. One time through is enough to know where everything is for the next visit. The prices here can't be beat. I can get out spending $60 or so when the same items will cost me around $200 at another grocery store. They do carry some name brand items but most are their own brand. So far we have mostly liked the Aldi brand items that we have tried. There have been a few that taste almost identical, some that taste better and a few that we did not care for at all. Just try everything for yourselves and you'll come to know what you will go back for and what items you can pass on. Produce is ok. We do need to use it quickly as it will go bad if we don't. Milk is the best price in town and tastes great. Cans of baked beans taste just like Busch's. We thought the loaves of bread were a little dry and didn't care for the taste. However, the bagels are great. We like to purchase alot of snacks, cereal and oatmeal here. We didn't care too much for the frozen pockets or single serve pizzas. They were a little dry. The extra large take and bake pizzas are pretty good, especially when on sale for $4.99 each. Overall this is a great place to do quite a bit of shopping, but there are a few things that I have to go somewhere else to get. You should bring bags, otherwise there is a charge but that's most stores now anyway. You will be bagging your own groceries at a table near the wall but with the savings it's well worth it. You also don't feel rushed when bagging because you are completely out and away from the line. Don't forget to bring a quarter for the carts. You get it back when you return it. I think it's a great idea because there are literally no carts in the parking lot. The reason I knocked off a star is for customer service. Now I understand that they are saving us customers alot of money but I feel like they need to put a little more effort in that department because I think alot of people may end up going somewhere else and paying more just to receive good customer service and feel appreciated when they walk in the door. I have been here several times now and when employees are stocking in the aisles, there's no hi, no can I help you, and literally no acknowledgment whatsoever. They won't even move over a smidge so that you can get by. I've even been right next to one while looking for an item. I know she could tell that I was having a hard time because I actually said it out loud. She just kept on stocking, acting like I wasn't there. Definitely unimpressed with the customer service here. Today my husband and i decided to go to ALDI to check it out we decided to grab a couple things We had a bottle of olive oil, a pack of cheese, some chips, top ramen, and a candy bar, we didn't even need a basket. So we go to the checkout we put out items down i have my shopping bag with me so i have it open as the lady starts scanning our things i hold out my hand to start putting the things in the bag instead of handing them to me she literally flung them into an empty shopping cart next to her. I told her that's not our cart and I'll just take the items in my hand and put them in my open shopping bag. She rudely said this is how we do it and she continued to throw our items into the shopping cart and she was throwing the items super hard it was really weird i mean we only had 5 items and their was no one behind us in line i don't understand why she couldn't just hand them to me it was very very rude and we won't be going back anytime soon. Im a very easy going person I've never posted a review on yelp but it was a really bad experience even my husband who really doesn't say anything said something about the lady being so rude. I Don't know what is wrong with the customer service here, especially today! This review goes to the cashier Ariana and the cashier right next to her on your left. I was in line and she really rudely told me to come to register #3 with Ariana. She was so rude , you can see the anger on her face, I'm a customer that comes almost everyday and I'm usually very patient, but just looking at her face made me want to leave all my groceries behind and walk out, a customer was asking her a question and she kept on ignoring her. She was literally throwing my groceries in the cart, I told her not to throw my groceries, it's almost like she didn't even care she was at work and thought she can give her anger and attitude to me, she is obviously not cut out for this job! She made the environment super awkward. She started throwing the next customer's groceries in the cart as well. The cashier in register 1, couldn't catch her name was very rude as well, they both had curly hair and were working at the same time today 7/28 around 5pm, she rudely told me when your ready start unloading in register 3 with a mean sarcastic face like if she was in such a bad mood.
