This is one of my favorite grocery stores to shop at. Prices are low and unbeatable! Sometimes they have sales such as a carton of eggs for only $0.89 but there's only a certain amount you can buy. Not too long ago they had a deal on ravioli for $0.10 and you bet we bought the entire shelf haha. So look out for those bargain prices! If the prices here were any lower, it'd be theft. The selection isn't as big as other grocery stores, but the store itself isn't as big either. Great prices, the place is clean and well organized, and the employees are all very nice to customers. You gotta bring your own bags or have a quarter handy to grab a shopping cart (you'll get the quarter back once you return the cart), but that's a stupid small price to pay for such stupid low prices. read more

no direct phone number to speak to a manager at the store. It's an 800 number on the receipt and the hours are until 4:30pm central time (2:30 in California) yet the store is open until 9pm.......... My reason for calling is because I got home straight from aldi, was gonna make dinner and the meat smelled fowl. Even my family noticed. Get in line for pool and the lady at 1st place took all 3 pools they had... No one can get pool for kids although they was in line for 1 hour before open... so un fair... they should have limit the hot items everyone can get. It was actually my mom who suggested I check out this place to get some groceries. I recommend this place if you need to get basic essentials in the kitchen. If you want to get specific items, they will most likely not have it. Aldi is similar to Trader Joes where they only carry a few/one brands of the same item. However, this place has super affordable and fresh products. They also sell home goods at a cheaper price as well. Every week, they will put out an ad for the next items they will feature to sell. I just witnessed a customer complained and the manager some what acknowledged and then walk away when the customer was still angry and not even done talking. No wonder the service is horrible here (employees). Purchased a bag and the cashier don't help bag it. What happened to those days where bagging for their customer was a thing. Dear Store Manager, Please see to it that your staff obtain customer service classes or training on dealing with customers. This morning while shopping in your store, there was young Hispanic woman at the cash register around 11:15 am. She was instructing a customer on food limits in the store. But it's the way she said it that irked me, but I just stayed quiet and in my own line. When I approached the gentleman at the register, he was having a little trouble ringing up some items but he stayed professional and friendly. She was shouting instructions to him over her shoulder in a rude and condescending tone, all while sitting on her chair, ( I don't understand the whole chair thing, but oh well). Bottom line: Super low prices for things you'll see at other markets for much more. You'll find most of what you're looking for in a market but maybe with a different brand. I lived in Sydney, Australia for a couple of years and liked shopping at Aldi there. When I heard that they were expanding to my area, I was so excited and was not disappointed when I visited. The prices here are amazing. $3.50 for a bottle of EVOO?? What? Fuji apples for $0.89/lb. A dozen eggs for $0.99. Sorry, I'm Chinese. I love deals like no other. But the quality is there too! Some other reviewers have mentioned it, but bring a quarter for the shopping carts (such a smart idea so shopping carts don't get left all over the parking lot by irresponsible adults), bring own bags, and bag your own groceries at the counter after paying. If you don't care about brand names and low prices, this is the place for you. When browsing around, almost everything is their own generic brand. They have name brand beverages and beer though. This place has great prices on Orange juice, so that's the only thing I've bought here so far. They drop the prices sometimes, so the last time I came here, the half gallon carton of juice from concentrate was marked down to 99cents, and the fresh squeezed half gallon bottle pretty much just like "Simply Orange" was marked down to $1.50! If you get Simply Orange on sale it goes as low as $2.50. The Aldi Oj was just as good at a super low price. read more

I've mixed feelings about this place. On one hand I can't explain how excited I am that they opened a store like this right around the corner from my house. So many organics options for reasonable prices, I love it. You won't find your 'usual' market options like a single bag of Doritos in this place which is great (when it comes to food) but I was a little taken back when I couldn't find a single roll of charming toilet paper. I mean I'm all for avoiding the pesticides and hormones in food but a girl has come to rely on the 'usual brands' and never crossed my mind that I needed to go organic on paper goods. Makes you wonder if they stick hormones and pesticides in paper goods. Anyways, if you are going her with lil ones be ready with that quarter because you are buying your basket. Which I wasn't prepared for as I had my infant in my arms wrestling to get a shopping cart out. And be ready to bag your own groceries. Last thing I want to add, just like any other crowd at Mothers Markets and Trader Joe's, the crowd at Aldi seems like your typical stuck up and up tight kinda folks. You ever feel like FRESH AND EASY took all there junk and changed there name lol .. Well I am weary so far and know how prices and products can change.. The store is very clean and most of the products are priced lower then chain stores because most the product is ALDI brand and not national food store brands.. The ground beef and eggs can not be beat in price and so far the off brand products we have purchased are 50/ 50 in quality, that being my personal opinion.. I don't mind using a quarter for a shopping cart I will get the quarter back but the one MAJOR thing I don't like is before you even have one thing scanned to purchase it at the register the person say "HOW WILL YOU BE PAYING".. I don't think that needs to be asked until I'm done with everything this is not such an upscale store to do that.. p.s the person working the register the last time we were there was just throwing stuff in are bags and was upset while we reorganized everything even though she was told to please let us do it .. read more

Grrreat Prices, check it out for yourself. Clean and wide aisles. A lot of generic brands and some name brands. Have a quarter handy to use shopping cart and you get it back when you return cart. You bag your own groceries for 10 or 15 cents for a paper or plastic bag. Don't forget to bring your own reusable bags. I went in to buy hamburger buns and came out with other bargains. I LOVE love love love love this store. We discovered it at the location in Covina after hearing nothing but good things from family and friends. Now this is really the only store I come to.Their prices are outrageously reasonable and their products are fantastic. I have an allergy to certain preservatives in food that I do not know the name of so it is helpful to know that the majority of the food sold her does not have preservatives. Their produce is always fresh and doesn't disappoint. Their brand for chocolate is incredible. Their dairy products are fantastic and frozen food is mouth watering. Everything we have purchased from Aldi is delicious and has not let us down. Highly recommend! This location is very clean and the staff is very friendly. If there is a line at the cash register there are employees that come out of no where and hop on the cash registers to get that line down! It's amazing to watch them work! I hope this store is something that will be around for a long time. I hope it is the future of grocery stores! All organic and preservative free! read more

My first experience at Aldi was a fail. Produce not so fresh. Mandarins rotted two days after purchase. Bananas are not the normal maturing color and had too many indents and brusing and i chose the BEST i could out of the rest of the bunch. Came here during their grand opening and everything is pretty clean and their services are super friendly. A lot of samples to try and few giveaways. We were told the first 100 customers received $100 gift card and they got people waiting since 4 in the morning! Seafood and meat shouldn't be purchase here as they are same as other places and not much selection. They got some few unique snacks here. This store has gone way down. It's sad I used to like coming here. The shelves are almost empty in the meat department. There is hardly any fruit left on the shelves. And the fruit left is molded and rotting. The customer service is horrible now. The cashiers responded to questions is "I don't know". There is a male cashier working is rude and insists on making you switch baskets because that is their policy even if you have a small child in the child seat. There are less and less items available. And the quality of the products has gone down. So sad since they used to be a nice place to shop. I will not go back unless they fix things back. read more

I'm giving them a 2 star because their fruit wasn't fresh.. I was there 2 days ago, the stawberries were routine with mold n the mangos were old as well. They don't have workers checking the fruits. Instead they restock the frozen food and other foods as what I seen that day when I went.. I went again yesterday to see if there were any fresh Mangos this was the only reason I went there because they were on sale,but once again old Mangos n strawberries. The girl who worked the cash register had like 5 beautifully fresh looking Mangos she had put aside for herself to take home. Unlike some of the previous post, I've yet to had a bad experience here complete opposite. This store has friendly workers, I personally have never seen place dirty like others have commented. When it comes to produce I do my best to carefully inspect before buying. Aldi is no different than other markets you must ck before you buy. I went to day to shop around 6:00 p.m. i purchased 2 fushi chicken, but only got one. I did not realize until i got home i was missing one. Tried calling them, they dont have a local phone number is only a 1800 number for customer service which were close. I had to waste my gas and time, but no luck. Stepahine the girl in charge went to look at the camera but did not show me. She stated she did see that the guy Angel did pit both chickens in the basket. I don't agree because i only got one. So i qas sgort change $5.29. So people check your groceries along with your receipt so it won't happen to you. I sure will do thata next time. Poor customer service. read more

Not the biggest of selection, but it'll cover 90% of what you're looking for, and cheap! Check out the meat dept. A lot of times, they'll drastically mark down the meat if it's going to expire within the next day or so. No biggy. Either cook it the same day or freeze it. I just got a tray of center cut, boneless pork chops for $1.84 (they were $2 off the original price). Came with 4 pieces. Don't remember the weight. A few weeks ago, they had chicken drumsticks for .49 a pound. I got as much as my freezer would hold. I cooked up a batch for my dogs and deboned it. It's cheaper than dog food, and it's pure chicken. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The store is bright and super clean. Plenty of parking. Don't forget to bring a quarter if you want to use their shopping cart. You get it back once you return the cart into its carousel. I been going to this location since they opened & I love ALDI even when I am in NYC I shop there. But this particular location on Hacienda today made me feel discriminated by one of the staff at cash register. The cashier was working ringing up a customers purchases. I politely asked cashier if she was still open & she told me #3 was open which was next to her register. So I then went to #3, which I waited for my turn in line there. Then the cashier who told me to go to #3 walked by, looking at me and other customer behind me as we waited our turn, She looked like she was going to open again, but she turned away. Then just seconds later as I waited my turn, the cashier I guess motioned to the people behind me to go to the register next where we were standing. I had purchased 6 cushions and all my items were in my cart. So the lady who was waiting behind me was given priority over me who. It made me feel discriminated against because I even asked her before if she was still open & when she returned to open she picked who she wanted to serve first even if I was next. When I finally finished paying I went over to her and told her she was not fair taking the customer who was behind me first when I was next. Of course she wanted to protect her dignity by making some lame excuse saying "oh I didn't mean to, have a nice day" was her reply. As much as I like this location cause it's closer to me, I will shop at the other locations. I work with people too, and this is not the manner you give customers. Her knowing she was wrong and making me feel discriminated against her reply was very unprofessional. It's people who work for a company that tarnishes a business. read more

I frequent this ALDI weekly. Love the prices on GT's Kombucha 2.89 (a freaking steal!!!). I am happy that their prices are low and the quality of their products are amazing. I love the selection of organic produce and the sales on bananas. Happy as well that ALDI USA has came out with the yummiest and least expensive vegan faux meats and cheese products. Aldi is one of those great neighborhood markets. I've heard about this place and finally one close by! I've become a big fan shopping here. I'm not looking for 8 varieties of an item but just good quality and at a good price. It makes shopping so much faster when you're not bombarded with choosing over too many brands and options. The place is just the right size, you find what you need and checkout is really fast. The nice thing about shopping here is that you find all your essentials and great prices across the board. No more getting hooked for a deal then get jacked on other items. I find the whole experience very fast and enjoyable. Easy in and out. read more

I was so devastated when Fresh & Easy closed, it was honestly my favorite local grocery store and their hummus was AMAZING! Yesterday was the first time I visited Aldi since it recently opened near my house and I was very pleased. I got there a few minutes before closing and I was not able to spend as much time as I would have wanted to see everything they offered. it is not as big as a regular grocery store but I found everything i was looking for. All of the fruits and vegetables looked fresh, everything was clean staff is super friendly. They have a lot of healthy and gluten free options and the prices are considerably lower than other stores. They don't have baskets to put your stuff in while you shop but a employee offered to give me a box that i could use instead which worked out great! The cashier was very friendly and she explained the process for the next visit if i wanted to get a shopping cart. Apparently you deposit a quarter or they can give you a quarter if you don't have one and you "rent" a shopping cart, when you are done using it you return the cart and get your quarter back. Overall I was very impressed by this new store and will be coming back for all my grocery shopping as long as they continue to provide low prices, fresh fruits and veggies, and great service! read more

Not really my cup of tea. Came here on grand opening day and got a free Aldi tote. YAY! Unique and different I would describe this place. Have to put a quarter in the shopping cart to retrieve one but you get the quarter back at the end of your shopping after you insert the cart back. They do not bag your items, you do it on your own and off to side. Some items are cheap but I can't say it is all cheap. Brands are very different. You won't see much of the typical brands you would see at regular grocery store like Vons, Ralphs etc. They carry a variety of fresh food items, meats, frozen foods and non food products a well like tools, outdoor products etc. Service is really good here. Staff is friendly and things are run very efficiently. I never have a hard time finding parking and it's never ever crowded. If you don't care too much about brand name things and have the mentality that food is food then you should have no problems liking this place. read more
