Aldi's is the secret undercover agent of grocery stores. Surprisingly delicious items, with incredible deals. A place you can build your own charcutier for the price of what you would spend elsewhere. Yes, we are sophisticated, but yes, we are on a budget. My failure is only that I have only experienced the outer aisles. Left side - wine, right side - fresh produce, crackers, nuts, and finally back wall - fridge with deli cheeses and salami. This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes the employees are friendly. Sometimes they are downright rude and snarky.

Very disappointing experience. I waited in line for several minutes, and just as I reached the front, the cashier announced that her register was closed. She hadn't informed the customer before me, which felt unfair and unprofessional. The line was long, and with my baby crying, I couldn't go back to wait again. I ended up leaving the store without purchasing anything. I now go to the Walnut location instead -- the cashiers there are much friendlier and more considerate. I hope they add self-checkout in the future, so customers don't have to deal with rude or unprofessional cashiers. read more

If you know what to look for you can find some really good deals. They operate differently so it is an adjustment from your typical chain grocery stores. They require you to use a quarter to get a cart (refunded when you return cart), they use boxes for packing food (bring reuseables), and they have minimal staff and stocking shelves remains in boxes. I really like their popcorn shrimp and seasoned fries, along with their cheese selection. I randomly find really tasty snacks and health items. It's worth a look! read more

It's a bit smaller than the Walnut location & this city has a slightly higher tax rate, so only if I'm in the area do I go to this one. Like all Aldi's it never fails to meet my expectations when I need to get something that is on the weekly ad. The store is clean, staff is friendly and helpful, and I've never had issues getting parking. I think my only qualm is that the items that I see on Aldi-gram (yes, there is a subset of Instagram users who solely only Aldi post) are only available here weeks later. read more

This is my first time here based from my fellow Elite Yelper's recommendation. Good selections of items with competitive pricing. Some items are limited in brand varieties. The customer service that I encountered were great. There was staff in the carts area that disinfect each used cart, and the cashier was pleasant. However I didnt see any staff on the floor for general question. I love how they securely packed their meats. I wont have to worry it will spilled. Upon check out, they don't put our items in the bag, even when we bought bags from the store. But they have area for customers to put their shopping inside their own bags. read more

I have been coming to ALDI for over a year now and it is definitely my go-to grocery store for any quick item I need (eggs, milk/fruits...). What is very appreciated is that they have not raised their prices on many o CDs items compared to other retailers because of the "pandemic/recession". Parking is straight forward, make sure to bring a quarter!!! Their carts require a quarter to use (however if you do forget one Aldi has a policy that you may ask them for a quarter and they'll give you one...NEAT!) Staff is very friendly and things are always in stock! And it's always quite cold in the store so that's pretty nice. read more

3.5 Stars I'm a big fan of Aldi, in general. They opened stores throughout SoCal a couple years ago, but I knew of them from back east for many years. This is one of the two locations I usually go to (the other is Covina), however unlike all others I've been to, it's not always quite as clean and the fruit/veggie quality is only okay. They do have all the basics, and I love their specialty food items (like cheeses, olives, meats, and wines). In our experience, they seem to have the lowest prices on eggs and milk. Aldi is not as big or offer the largest selection like the full-size markets, but they offer great prices for the quality and service. There's plenty of parking at this location, although there can be undesirables hanging around the area. Don't forget to bring a quarter for the shopping cart deposit to unlock carts (no quarter required during COVID-19 visits and they're all individually wiped down with disinfectant). read more

Sick & tired of the snarkyness & rudeness of the employees at this store. I don't think that I ever had a positive interaction with any one at this store. And I've been going since they opened!! There many examples of rudeness that I can provide but I'm expecting company in a few minutes. My lastest visit of today prompted this review. I was waiting in line when I was directed to an empty lane. There was no checker there. And we waited, when I asked the other cashier why we were waiting there he snapped "he's on his way"! When I was checking out My cashier name Jeffery was so rough with my merchandise, When he finished scanning he started to throw each and every items in my cart like he was mad at something all the veggies and fruits, He threw so hard that my slices of mango came out of the box and they all smashed. Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 - #17/100 I like their idea of charging a quarter to use the carts. Don't worry you get it back when you return it. This means there'll be less carts that are abandoned anywhere and everywhere especially in lots blocking those parking spaces. I didn't have a quarter on me so I went in with the intention of just checking out what stuff they got and how much they're charging for them. Was surprised to see dried figs and they were a steal too for $2.99. This means I don't have to drive all the way to Duarte to get my fig fix. Didn't bring my own shopping bag either so I limited myself to 3 packages of the figs and a can of Don Francisco's coffee. Definitely coming back to get more of the figs and I'll be ready with my quarter and shopping bags. Parking is more than adequate and no abandoned carts either. read more

Very dirty store outside and inside. The outside looks like not a single piece of trash has been picked up. The inside fortunately does not smell but it isn't very clean or organized. I only go in for a few things since they are only affordable here such as the bell peppers, cucumbers, eggs and cherry tomatoes. Cashiers are fast and don't waste time with small conversations and are sufficient. I know some might not like this approach but I appreciate it when I am in a hurry which is often. The lot is small but it is not a busy location. There's many food trucks in front of this location and it is near larger grocery stores, fast food restaurants and a Starbucks. It is located on a main busy street and with the food trucks makes it difficult to exit the parking lot. read more

Came in to check out the hype on the new Aldi store! I've heard so many good things about it that I had to check it out myself. Parking was easy for an afternoon visit. As many have told me, you have to use a quarter to get a cart. Since I don't carry change with me, I brought my reusable bags in to shop. As I walked up to the entrance, there are the carts where you have to use a quarter. I remember these being used a long time ago and weren't very successful, and that's why many stores did away with them. The inside is very clean, and obviously very new. The aisles are so wide. Reminds me of a Fresh and Easy store, but not the same products. Practically a majority of the products are brands I've never heard of. So do I dare to try something new? I was very hesitant. Milk and eggs are at a good price. Large AA eggs are only 99 cents! If that's their everyday price, yes! They have a lot of what the larger grocery stores have, but less variety. So I left the store only with 2 items, a bag of spinach and coffee creamer. The spinach looked ok and I searched for the bag with the latest use by date. Only one left! I love Italian sweet cream creamer, so I hope this one tastes good. Checkout was ok. Friends told me that you bag your own. These registers didn't look like the bag your own type. The cashier used a shopping cart to bag my 2 items in my reusable bag. The transaction was quick and easy, using my debit card. read more

If you haven't heard of Aldi, it is a pretty good supermarket franchise. The prices are very affordable and their products are pretty fresh. I came here for some groceries and noticed a few things were cheaper than normal. I don't know if it was just that day, but I came and got a bag of bagels for less than a dollar. There were a lot of cheaper than normal deals. Great market with great products. I will definitely be shopping here more often on my way home! read more

I love Aldi as a brand and store but this one in particular has a became a pain to visit... I frequent this store because it's the closest store to my house. While the store is nice, they seem to let every and anyone hang out in the front. This isn't an issue if said people were doing their own thing, but they are not. Every-time I come shopping at this Aldi, time wise I would say late evening/night, there is a man outside constantly asking shoppers on their way out for change. I didn't mind it the first time but the fact this is a constant and consist thing is very worrying. Keep in mind this has been over the span of months. I'm not sure if said man has talked with the store (which I doubt) or if they are just oblivious to his presence but it's very annoying. I actually just got back from this Aldi and as soon as I saw the man standing outside of the exit doors I felt a sense of annoyance at having to once again explain to a stranger why I can't give him change because I used my card. I enjoy going to this store because the health food options are very budget friendly. The store is always clean and the parking is very convenient and close. If you have never been to any aldi stores, you do have to have a quarter on hand, as that is how your able to get your shopping cart but at the end of your shopping trip you do get your quarter back when putting it back. The down side of this store is they are always out of vegan sour cream, they had it once but haven't had it in stock since. The store clerks aren't very friendly and are not knowledgeable of the products or when they will be back in. I do keep coming here because it is the closest health food store near my home but if I had other health food store options without having to drive far I would go somewhere else. read more

The cashier by the name Gustavo is very rude and inpatient with customers . He was scanning and throwing items and rushing my mom who is older and of age and was rushing her to hurry up "because there are other customers waiting" as if she is not a customer herself . Very unprofessional and frustrating to see someone take out there anger on someone who is just trying to buy groceries for her family . During the time of scanning items, he had damaged some items she was going to buy. And she asks Gustavo to remove the items to where he then tells her "next time only put things your actually going to buy" as if it's her fault that he was so rude and inpatient and couldn't handle the items with care. I'm very upset and during these hard times no one should have to deal with rude customer service all because they can't be patient with customers. That being said won't be returning to the store . Smart and final is right around the corner and they are much nicer there! Will be recommending them instead! read more

I'm familiar with Aldi, they have been my primary grocery store since I discovered them when they came from the east coast. But every Aldi I have visited is so different in both good and bad ways. This particular one has been by far the worst one I have visited. Lets start with the actual store itself. It's dirty and big mess most of the time. There's trash all over the floors outside, inside the carts, inside the store, on the shelves, where I bag my food. Clearly it's the customers making a mess but no one who works there ever seems to care about the filth. The produce sometimes looks extremely old, I stopped buying fresh produce from here because I really don't have the time or energy to pick through all the bad fruits and veggies that are left out. Next, their frozen section (in the middle of the floor) DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!! I have seen employees filling these freezers, they leave this stuff out for a VERY LONG TIME. I once bought crab and shrimp raviolis and got extremely sick from them. It wasn't until I saw just how long they leave their frozen products out that I realized that, that is exactly why I got sick. Not to mention every time I get something from there, the food has MAJOR FREEZER BURN! Their meat selection is never fully stocked. They always seem to run out of everything, but after I saw how they handle their frozen food I stopped getting anything that needs to be refrigerated or frozen. Finally, their employees. Half the time it's decent customer service, not great but not bad either. But the other half of the time it's a weird, tense, borderline rude encounter. My son and my nephew no longer like to come shopping with me because they feel so uncomfortable being followed around by the employees like they are some sort of delinquents. They have plenty of time to harass my kids but when help is needed (like checking the back for an item) all the employees seem to vanish from the vicinity. I get it, you guys are only trying to do your job, but please don't harass my kids who are not being loud, not horsing around, and not giving you the impression like they are trying to steal whatever it is you think they are trying to steal. This location is the closest aldi to my nephews house (whom I take care of a lot) but this particular Aldi has left a bad taste in my mouth for the last time. I can't buy anything frozen, anything cold, or fresh produce. So after everything it just seems a little silly to stop for a few items here to save a few bucks and then drive to the next closest grocery store. read more

Awesome new "food market" that is similar to Trader Joe's. They also have a lot of organic varieties but at affordable prices. For example, they have eggs for $1.19, milk from $1.99-2.49, sliced cheese for $1.49, bread for $1.69, and much more. There is a wide selection of all your basic grocery needs in all departments like in their frozen, refrigerated, and produce. The parking lot is a bit small, so it can get a bit packed. They charge a quarter to use their carts but you receive it back when you return it. They charge for bags - $0.15 for plastic and $0.10 for paper, so make sure to bring your bags. The store is kept very clean and organized. The staff is friendly and are willing to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back! read more

Aldi, unexpectedly awesome. The logo looks so corporate and atypical for a grocery store so it seemed odd. We went in to just walk around but ended up buying a bunch of stuff and spending 2hours browsing around. Prices were great, quality looks good. Got a bag of chips for 10 cents! They have these unknown brands which probably keeps their prices low but tastes just as good. The market is well lit and the workers are very friendly. They have some aisles full of random household items from pillows to dog treats. They even had a decent backpack for $3.50! Smartly designed market with the ice cream and frozen items at the very end when you're about to check out. The cashiers sit in comfy office chairs which makes me wonder why other places don't allow their employees to sit. Shopping carts are rented with a single quarter. Put in a quarter to get a cart. Put it back to get your quarter back. This makes a lot of sense so you put your cart back instead of leaving them scattered in the parking lot. Will definitely be returning to Aldi. read more

I go here about once a month when I visit West Covina, and I've noticed that compared to other branches, this one sort of lacks in maintenance. Empty hand sanitizer dispensers, debris on the floor, crates in the deli area not stacked properly. I will return periodically because I really do love shopping at Aldi. Bought a gallon of milk last night for the two kids at home, 2 year old and a 3 year old (husband had a glass too before going to bed), the 2 year old kept vomiting all night, husband threw up in the morning, and 3 year old (while drinking his milk) said it tasted funny and immediately threw up. We threw out the milk, but took a whiff before tossing it, it smelled sour. I am so disappointed in Aldi. Them being negligent with milk by not keeping it in the right temperature at all times is not acceptable. They are messing with families and children. Not cool. Please put more thought into how you practice business ethics so you don't actually hurt people. read more

This is one of my favorite grocery stores to shop at. Prices are low and unbeatable! Sometimes they have sales such as a carton of eggs for only $0.89 but there's only a certain amount you can buy. Not too long ago they had a deal on ravioli for $0.10 and you bet we bought the entire shelf haha. So look out for those bargain prices! There is plenty of parking since this is the only business in the plaza. Just remember to bring a quarter if you're thinking about using a shopping cart! read more
