The store is ALWAYS busy and it's never that calm, quick and easy service as is expected when going to a Mother's Nutrition. I literally have to mentally prep my self to go to the store because its overwhelming dealing with the other customers. They have been so rude, disrespectful & careless. I've had to experience smokers upon my arrival, stand right by my vehicle while I get my son off just smoking like its their right, it was never like that before. Until this program began and from what I gather it's the men related to the people shopping in the store. Whoever they are they should know better than to smoke by a store that is highly noted as a Expecting Mother's and infants shopping establishment. The employees try to regulate these people's behaviors as best they can but they can only do so much. Something needs to be done. Im a LONG time shopper. Ive been shopping here for the past 5yrs with my son and the past couple of years since this incentive began it's been awful. I called and spoke with Kathy and Sam from corporate a week ago, and they told me that they've done their absolute best but I'm writing today because I was just at the store yesterday and what I witnessed inspired a few solutions. The team/staff of this store needs to be praised and Congratulated for ALL THEIR EFFORTS. I understand like you said Kathy, they are employees and they have a job to do but at the end of the day they are just human and have limits. So I continue to note how they ALL just keep preserving and keeping up a pleasant demeanor. The shoppers that come in for the incentive majority of the time don't speak English or put on a act like they don't speak English, they challenge your employees every moment they can, they have no respect for staff or other shoppers. If they see WIC shoppers being shown preference they want to argue and cause stress and unnecessary problems. We lost the resource of the pickup service because these non wic shoppers abused it, and overwhelmed the staff with orders. They not only over ran the store but they overwhelmed the pick up service. Being a single mother with multiple disabilities & having a child with autism that pick up service was a God send. Kathy you need to go to the store and experience the disruption first hand. It's not fair to the staff to have deal with everything these non wic shoppers bring. First suggestion is, get a parking attendant out there before these people cause more grief out in the parking lot and accidents. Second suggestion get security that monitors the door and the store front so no one is smoking outside. Third suggestion, since we can't limit the hours on non wic members shopping how about we have someone serve them fruit samples or water while they wait in line. Fourth suggestion keep wic members priority(I do see this implemented at my store just wanted to keep it in the suggestions) Fifth suggestion make it clear to the non wic shoppers that they do not receive the same preferences as wic members. Make cards for them or get a translator that can communicate with them because most if not all want to act like they can't speak English. Lastly I suggest you give the team/staff members at Mother's Nutrition El Monte an Award for giving 110% of themselves to keep their Wic shoppers happy and cared for, putting their safety on the line to protect your WIC shoppers. Kathy this team/staff the store itself is well stocked they are doing their best every day but they really need to be acknowledged for their efforts. Don't get on them for not being able to control the behaviors of others that's not in their job title. I keep going back because I'm loyal to that team, I see what they've got to endure and I am so proud of them. So I keep bracing the struggle and discomfort because no matter what they always make me and my son feel welcomed and safe. My son loves the store and I do too it's less than a few minutes from my house. We've been going their for 5rys now. I really don't want to stop but the non wic shoppers are just relentless and they make things so much harder Please don't be harder on the staff help them out in any way that shows gratitude and real support. Of course, I couldn't say no. Luckily, there is an Albertsons within the village. We were on our way! My eldest daughter and I walked into this Albertsons and headed straight to the produce section. We had no time to waste because our See's chocolates were melting away in the car LOL... it was very warm that day! Anyway, the bananas were riping away, too LOL... I didn't care for them being too ripe or yellow. I asked the produce stocker if they had any more bananas in the back that were less ripe. He came back with a few boxes of fresh bananas that still had some green to them. Thank you young man!! We got our banana bunch. Headed to the register to pay. Line was short. After payment, we were out of here. Very quick visit. We didn't get a chance to peruse the rest of the store, but I did get to snap a few photos here and there. I've been to other Albertsons in the past. This one is no different. It was clean and organized. Aisles were wide. I was a little sad when I saw there weren't very many customers while we were here. I followed that process and submitted my concern there, but several days have now passed, and I have received no response. Unfortunately, since my previous review, I returned to this location and had yet another troubling experience. This time, I was with a friend, and we were the only POCs in the checkout line. Before our turn, the cashier was warm, cheerful, and engaged with the customers ahead of us. She smiled, chatted, and appeared to be in a very good mood. The moment we stepped forward, that demeanor disappeared. We greeted her politely, smiled, and behaved courteously. In return, we received no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no basic courtesy. The contrast was so immediate and obvious that both my friend and I noticed it. What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was the way our items were handled. Instead of placing them down normally, the cashier dropped or pushed several items onto the counter with unnecessary force. We had never met this employee before, and there was no conflict or misunderstanding that could explain such hostility. At this point, it is very difficult to keep treating these experiences as isolated incidents. Different employees have been involved, yet the pattern keeps repeating. If there is another explanation, I would welcome one. But after repeated uncomfortable experiences, a previous complaint, following the "Contact Us" process referenced by Dawn M., and receiving no response, I am left feeling that these concerns are simply being ignored. I continue to shop here because this store is close to my home, but it is deeply upsetting to feel anxious about going to a neighborhood grocery store because of how I may be treated at checkout. I would appreciate a substantive response from Albertsons rather than continued silence.

Weirdly in the past, at least in the summer, they'd take these kids to the 7-11 as a summer break field trip so it'd randomly get crowded because of that. Unclear if they still do that, but this was back when they still sold Shonen Jump in person. So that definitely was ages ago. Lollipop Not All Hosts Are Created Equal…read more I have been buying See's Candies for at least half a century. Over the years, I've purchased See's at many different locations, including airport terminals, and I've encountered many wonderful and sweet hostesses. I remember the good old days when See's gave customers beautiful courtesy wrapping and different selections of bows. Those little touches made the experience special sweet. Sadly, those days seem to be over. My grandkids love See's lollipops. When they were visiting from San Francisco last month, I bought two boxes of 30 lollipops each, one to enjoy here and one for them to take home. I love that the lollipops come in different flavors and such colorful, inviting wrappers. Last week, I bought another box of 30 assorted-flavor lollipops for a friend's 70th wedding anniversary. Fortunately, I had the same wonderful hostess, Lluvia, helping me on both occasions. She knew exactly what I was looking for, helped me with the sleeve cover for the box, and understood that presentation means a lot, especially when you are giving something as a gift. Lluvia was kind, helpful, and truly wonderful. Yesterday, I stopped by late in the morning to use the remaining balance on my cash card. I purchased another 16 lollipops that I wanted to share with my friends. Then I asked for See's signature ribbons. That's when the experience changed completely. The two hostesses assisting me kept insisting me twice if not three times that "they sell candy, not ribbons." WHAT?! After being a loyal See's customer for at least 50 years, I found this response extremely disappointing. I wasn't asking for anything extravagant. I simply wanted the signature ribbon that has traditionally been part of the See's presentation. This was such a contrast to my wonderful experience with Lluvia just one week earlier. She understood that See's is not only about selling candy. It's also about the experience, the presentation, and those little touches that make customers feel special. Not all hosts are created equal.
