Excellent Albertsons. First time going there today. Both of the stores near me have been out of a shrimp scampi food item, so I contacted this store and they were fully stocked. I took a trip down each isle as well, and they were well stocked on all the products I tend to purchase like soft drinks, iced tea, chicken, veggies, etc. They even had a nice selection of breakfast bars. I also wanted to give a nice shout out to Maggie who is always so friendly and use to work at the store closest to me. Now she works here and was my cashier today! Small world indeed. Then a big thanks to Nicholas in the meat department who helped me find a few items. Store is great. Will start coming here more often.

I just wanted to give a huge positive shout-out to the bakery department. We ordered cupcakes for our son who graduated from Diamond Bar High. Honesty, we just expected them to provide the cupcakes with the flavor that we chose, but they also placed graduation decorations on them AND colored them with the Diamond Bar High School colors! I am beyond impressed - please let them know how awesome they are and we are very grateful for this.

We had an amazing experience with the beautiful and talented Irma from the floral arrangement department! She was such an angel and was absolutely professional, talented, and patient with us. She made the most beautiful bouquets, just like the pictures. We felt extra wonderful when she told us 'God bless you' twice. With her permission, I asked if I could take a picture of her and post it. She said yes

My Review id for the Floral Department and the florist, Irma. I DO NOT KNOW anything about flowers. it was my fiancé's birthday and I wanted to surprising her with flowers at her job. Irma assisted me. She was so polite. gave me advice on some nice options. I think they turned out great ! thank Irma! I appreciate you.

I have been a repeat customer at this Stater Bros. Markets location for about 7 months, but the…read moretreatment I receive here when I shop is extremely unsettling and it's time I speak out about it. As someone who has a natural eye for pattern of behavior and keen observation skills, every time I enter the store, I'm met with cold stares and no greeting, but EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE that comes after me gets a greeting with a smile and they're so loud about it you can literally hear them down the aisles as you shop. When shopping throughout the store they think I don't notice, but the employees (specifically Silvia and Colby) follow me throughout the store during every visit until I get to the register. Each aisle I go down, they "mysteriously" show up and will act as if they're stocking until my shopping is complete and suddenly their stocking is complete too. Wherever I check out, and if there is a bagger at the end of the register, they "coincidently" always leave or will proceed back to the sales floor and I can tell it's done maliciously because when they walk away, they'll cut glances to see if it has gotten any reaction out of me. After the first 4 instances, I spoke with the store manager and he mentioned he would have a conversation with them. I took about a month break from shopping there and decided to take a trip tonight and without fail, I was met with the same behavior! Not only did Silvia watch me and follow me all the way out the door, she continued to do so as I crossed the street to get myself some McDonald's. After witnessing that, it made my blood boil so I returned to the store to address them. I even opened my bag widely to show them since when I originally checked out, the person that you see at the end of the register continued to glance in my bag until I left and that's when Silvia began to trail me out the store. Mind you I'm on foot, so if I was to steal and put something in my bag, when I opened it, you would've seen it! When I asked her if I could get corporate's information to further escalate my concerns, she told me "that was something she wasn't going to provide and she was just doing her job." It wasn't until I told her that since she felt so comfortable being dismissive and that I was going to record the interaction and pulled out my phone, she nonchalantly tried to give me the website. I asked for contact information, not a website! As someone who hates confrontation but also hates being treated indifferently I'm posting this to raise awareness! The Stater Bros on Colima and fairway has an extremely prejudice team and as someone who once spent their money religiously there, tonight will be my last trip. The next step is to reach out to corporate, but I honestly think I should take it step further and start the process on a discrimination claim.

I don't shop at Aldi very often, so this was a confusing experience…read more I picked up a package of chicken legs that were advertised in the store for $1.99 per pound. However, the package label itself still showed the regular price per pound. Since the printed barcode label showed a higher price, I simply asked my cashier of the day, Emily, if she could confirm that the sale price per pound was actually being applied at the register. Instead of checking the price, Emily, who looked visibly annoyed by my "extremely complicated" request, told me she could not see the price per pound and that I would have to pay first before seeing the price on the receipt. She also suggested that I could simply pay first if the price turned out to be wrong, and then process a refund afterward. That felt completely backwards. Customers should not have to complete a purchase just to verify the price of an item sold by weight. For a brief moment I thought I had accidentally stepped into a South Asian government office somewhere, where the process is: pay first, ask questions later. In my mind I was thinking, "I'm not asking for the secrets of the universe here. I only asked you to read the price per pound that your register is showing, so I can feel good about saving $1.79." When I explained that I simply wanted to confirm the price before paying, Emily my cashier of the day became even more annoyed and asked, "So do you want to buy this or not?" When I said I would rather not pay without knowing the actual price per pound, she ended the interaction with, "Then We are done." Jeez.... Curiosity got the best of me, so I walked around the store until I found the store manager afterward and asked how customers are supposed to know they are getting the advertised sale price (while showing him the weekly ad)? He explained that the price printed on the package is usually the regular price, while the sale price appears at the register when the item is scanned. Fair enough. But for someone who does not shop at Aldi often, this is not obvious at all, especially when the printed label shows a completely different price. I suppose this is not Erewhon, but still, when the price looks "wrong", customers tend to ask questions. To be fair, the manager was super awesomely helpful and took the time to explain how the pricing system works, so kudos to him ! Unfortunately, the interaction with the cashier was unnecessarily complicated. Asking to confirm the price of an item before paying seems like a pretty reasonable request. Aldi's prices are great, but the checkout customer service could use a little improvement. And if Emily happens to be running the register next time, perhaps management could let customers borrow the register for two minutes and run their own self-checkout while she enjoys a well-deserved chocolate break.
