After exiting See's Candies at the Towne Centre Village in Diamond Bar, I received a phone call from my Mom. She asked me to buy her one bunch of bananas to give to her neighbor. Of course, I couldn't say no. Luckily, there is an Albertsons within the village. We were on our way! My eldest daughter and I walked into this Albertsons and headed straight to the produce section. We had no time to waste because our See's chocolates were melting away in the car LOL... it was very warm that day! Anyway, the bananas were riping away, too LOL... I didn't care for them being too ripe or yellow. I asked the produce stocker if they had any more bananas in the back that were less ripe. He came back with a few boxes of fresh bananas that still had some green to them. Thank you young man!! We got our banana bunch. Headed to the register to pay. Line was short. After payment, we were out of here. Very quick visit. We didn't get a chance to peruse the rest of the store, but I did get to snap a few photos here and there. I've been to other Albertsons in the past. This one is no different. It was clean and organized. Aisles were wide. I was a little sad when I saw there weren't very many customers while we were here. Sometimes I wonder how all the different supermarkets compete with one another. Good luck Albertsons! I am writing a follow-up review because I noticed Store Manager Dawn M. has directed other customer complaints in the reviews to Albertsons' official "Contact Us" page. I followed that process and submitted my concern there, but several days have now passed, and I have received no response. Unfortunately, since my previous review, I returned to this location and had yet another troubling experience. This time, I was with a friend, and we were the only POCs in the checkout line. Before our turn, the cashier was warm, cheerful, and engaged with the customers ahead of us. She smiled, chatted, and appeared to be in a very good mood. The moment we stepped forward, that demeanor disappeared. We greeted her politely, smiled, and behaved courteously. In return, we received no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no basic courtesy. The contrast was so immediate and obvious that both my friend and I noticed it. What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was the way our items were handled. Instead of placing them down normally, the cashier dropped or pushed several items onto the counter with unnecessary force. We had never met this employee before, and there was no conflict or misunderstanding that could explain such hostility. At this point, it is very difficult to keep treating these experiences as isolated incidents. Different employees have been involved, yet the pattern keeps repeating. If there is another explanation, I would welcome one. But after repeated uncomfortable experiences, a previous complaint, following the "Contact Us" process referenced by Dawn M., and receiving no response, I am left feeling that these concerns are simply being ignored. I continue to shop here because this store is close to my home, but it is deeply upsetting to feel anxious about going to a neighborhood grocery store because of how I may be treated at checkout. I would appreciate a substantive response from Albertsons rather than continued silence. read more

Alot of the food that is stocked is expired. I accidentally bought expired ramen (and it expired a month ago!) and drinks. Always check the dates. And be prepared to wait in line. Some of the cashiers are friendly and helpful though. read more

I am disappointed with the lack of customer service etiquette at this store. While checking out, an employee interrupted my transaction to grab the trash can right in front of me. Handling garbage directly next to a customer's groceries while they are paying is a hygiene concern and felt very rude. Albertsons needs to instruct employees to wait for the register to be clear before performing maintenance tasks. read more

Excellent Albertsons. First time going there today. Both of the stores near me have been out of a shrimp scampi food item, so I contacted this store and they were fully stocked. I took a trip down each isle as well, and they were well stocked on all the products I tend to purchase like soft drinks, iced tea, chicken, veggies, etc. They even had a nice selection of breakfast bars. I also wanted to give a nice shout out to Maggie who is always so friendly and use to work at the store closest to me. Now she works here and was my cashier today! Small world indeed. Then a big thanks to Nicholas in the meat department who helped me find a few items. Store is great. Will start coming here more often. read more

I am extremely surprised that I have never written a review for this Albertsons location. It has been here for the longest time, and previously it was a Lucky. Albertsons is one of the only American supermarkets left in Diamond Bar, since Vons, down the street, closed - which became a Higgins, and is now a Smart & Final. The Walmart diagonally across the street used to be a Ralphs. The stores in this plaza have changed throughout the years, but Albertsons has been a staple in the community. The aisles are always clean and well-stocked. The employees are kind and are there if you have any questions. The parking lot can be a bit of a hit or miss depending on how busy the storefronts get, but one can usually find parking close to the entrance. read more

Honesty, we just expected them to provide the cupcakes with the flavor that we chose, but they also placed graduation decorations on them AND colored them with the Diamond Bar High School colors! On November 22, 2025, I called the butcher at the Diamond Bar Albertsons to see if they had any extra large butterball turkeys. He verified he had some in their meat freezer and he held one for me. I went to the store and found it to be very well organized, well stocked with very fresh fruits and vegetables and everything that I needed. The store was immaculate, very busy, and the clerks were very accommodating and pleasant. This is the way every grocery store should be run! This is my go to Albertsons closest to home, and been coming here forever. The staff is super nice and will help fix issues with pricing or refund you if needed. Years ago, something was priced incorrectly and they gave it to me for free. They have a nice floral section that is convenient for those occasions when you need flowers for loved ones. The sushi here is pretty good, and made by in house chefs, not pre-packaged. The produce here is fresh and their produce area is super clean. We have ordered some wonderful custom cakes from their bakery for celebrations, so I highly recommend them. For a long time, I have been a regular customer for the fried chicken at their deli. It's pretty tasty and I prefer it over many fried chicken chains. I've seen the line of customers get nasty with each other and the staff when that chicken goes on sale! There's no excuse for that behavior but maybe that delicious chicken makes you crazy. read more

Terrible customer service at the deli counter. I went to the Albertsons in Diamond Bar around 2 p.m. today and asked the gentleman in the deli with glasses and a beard (believed to be the manager) for a sandwich. He refused, saying he had "more important things to do" and that they wouldn't make sandwiches until later. He was dismissive and rude -- completely unacceptable for a grocery deli. If sandwiches are advertised and supposed to be available, customers shouldn't be turned away. Very disappointed in this experience. read more

This 5 star review goes to the bakery. (because the cashier ladies (especially the elder lady who wears the face mask whose probably insecure about herself and is mute because she hates her minimum wage job 6:40pm 9/23) It's okay, keep that mask on LOL. But very very excellent service to Leo, who helped out making and planning out a cake for us recently. We came in pretty much like 10min before closing (!) and wanted to ask a question of how to go about making a custom cake. He was patient and didn't see bothered at all, and had very good explanations and suggestions to give for the cake that we wanted! He's very respectful and can get you a cake however you'd imagine it. Got to Albertsons around 8 pm I needed deli meats. The worker and I made eye contact while I was walking over and he immediately went to the back. So I stood there waiting for him to come back. He finally does and proceeds to tell me "I'm not cutting anymore meat" I said excuse me ? "I'm not cutting anymore meat I already cleaned up " no hi hello welcome sorry. ummm does the deli not close at 9 pm ? Walked over to yet again a long line. Was checking out and the entire time the cashier and another employee were just having a full on personal conversation which btw I interrupted to ask what time the deli closed. And she said. This is my neighborhood go to for Tri tip roasts! Very good quality meat to fat ratio on their cuts. I always wait for the $4.99 sale and pick up several roasts. Also they have an occasional sale on Chuck Roast. I usually buy a 25 lb. roast and have their friendly meat cutter cut it up, free of charge, into 1Lb. Steaks. I thought I was going to be in line forever with the long lines but the cashier was doing a wonderful job and I got out in 10 minutes. Always bright, clean, and fully stocked. As soon as you walk in, there's always beautifully crafted bouquets of seasonal flowers for every holiday! The mother's day and fall season are the cutest! Not to mention Albertson's cakes from the bakery have really stepped up their game! They're moist, delicious, and cheap! I usually buy them for coworkers birthdays at work and they do not disappoint! Not too happy with the Diamond Bar store. Today I went in for the deli fried chicken breast, they didn't have any. Went to get Farmer John's bacon $5 special, they were out! Last week the meat department didn't have the chuck roast special or chicken breast with skin on and bone in. I'm disappointed as this is a big chain supermarket and I've shopped here for the last 20 years. Time to shop elsewhere. read more

I bought a rib roast at this location yesterday. They say they will season your meat for free. Lies, the butcher said my cut of meat was on sale so they wont season it. Never heard of such a lame excuse. Not a very friendly guy. Funny thing is I didn't even get the sale price. Was suppose to be on sale for $5.99 (digital coupon) it didn't go through & I paid $8.99lb. Didn't even notice that until I took my rib roast out to season right now. It just keeps getting worse at this store. Not enough staff, long lines, and a staff that couldn't care less (they are probably pretty fed up too). Be sure to check dates as you're very likely to buy expired products. The butcher is often missing and no one seems to know where he/she is. I haven't had a problem with the produce or the fresh deli meat. Pricing is insane! When we had other options in Diamond Bar (Ralph's, Vons), Albertsons was reasonably priced. Now that Walmart is the only other option, prices skyrocketed. We try to go over the hill to Stater Brothers when we can but it's not convenient.... and I think Albertsons knows it. read more

I came here to do some shopping and i placed an order for a cake a weeks and some days in advance and also ended up giving an extra day changing my pick up,in all that time my cake came out sloppy and thrown together like a beginner didn't know what they where doing and for the price i paid it was not worth it and i will never recommend this location. This location is so much better in comparison to the one in Chino Hills. Its way cleaner and the employees are so friendly and helpful. I asked one of the employees who was busy stacking shelves if they had aloe. She jumped to help saying "i just got some new ones in yesterday" which ended up being the brand I saw advertised in People magazine. She also walked with me to show me another brand they carry as well. Seeing as she said "i" just got some in its like she feels a sense of ownership in a super positive way. Don't order a cake from the Bakery Dept! Apparently ordering a cake ahead of a time is a problem!! I ordered an ice cream a couple weeks ago for today at 10am. I walk in to pick it up and these 2 ladies at the bakery looked at me like I was crazy! We don't do ice cream cakes here but when I showed her the order, she was in panic mode. Date of visit: April 8, 2017 My girlfriend's family was holding a birthday party for her nephew, and I had volunteered myself to bring some coleslaw. Albertsons looked like it would have it, so I checked it out. Sadly, there wasn't any prepackaged coleslaw - what was up with that? - but the chopped Asian salad I picked up for $5 fit the bill nicely. I was also surprised to see a chicken wing bar in the deli; the Albertsons/Vons stores in my area don't have those! I owed it to myself to try it out, and for the most part the wings came out really well. (Just be careful trying the salt and vinegar wings; those have a sharp bite!) While the store is nice and clean, parking is a bit of a bear. Wouldn't mind trying the sushi, though - it looked really fresh and eye pleasing for grocery store sushi! read more
