Very disappointed with this Aldi location. I purchased a container of red grapes, drove all the way home, and when I removed them from the container, I found that the grapes in the middle were covered in mold. It was obvious the mold wasn't visible until the grapes were taken out, so there was no way to catch it before buying them. I wasted my gas and time driving back to the store, only to be told I had to stand in the long checkout line just to get a refund. After the inconvenience of receiving a spoiled product, I expected customer service to handle the situation more efficiently instead of making me wait behind customers making purchases. A simple return turned into an even bigger inconvenience because of the lack of customer care. Selling moldy produce is bad enough, but the way this situation was handled was even more disappointing. I won't be returning to this location, and I hope management does a better job taking care of customers when mistakes happen. read more

I don't shop at Aldi very often, so this was a confusing experience. I picked up a package of chicken legs that were advertised in the store for $1.99 per pound. However, the package label itself still showed the regular price per pound. Since the printed barcode label showed a higher price, I simply asked my cashier of the day, Emily, if she could confirm that the sale price per pound was actually being applied at the register. Instead of checking the price, Emily, who looked visibly annoyed by my "extremely complicated" request, told me she could not see the price per pound and that I would have to pay first before seeing the price on the receipt. She also suggested that I could simply pay first if the price turned out to be wrong, and then process a refund afterward. That felt completely backwards. Customers should not have to complete a purchase just to verify the price of an item sold by weight. For a brief moment I thought I had accidentally stepped into a South Asian government office somewhere, where the process is: pay first, ask questions later. In my mind I was thinking, "I'm not asking for the secrets of the universe here. I only asked you to read the price per pound that your register is showing, so I can feel good about saving $1.79." When I explained that I simply wanted to confirm the price before paying, Emily my cashier of the day became even more annoyed and asked, "So do you want to buy this or not?" When I said I would rather not pay without knowing the actual price per pound, she ended the interaction with, "Then We are done." Jeez.... Curiosity got the best of me, so I walked around the store until I found the store manager afterward and asked how customers are supposed to know they are getting the advertised sale price (while showing him the weekly ad)? He explained that the price printed on the package is usually the regular price, while the sale price appears at the register when the item is scanned. Fair enough. But for someone who does not shop at Aldi often, this is not obvious at all, especially when the printed label shows a completely different price. I suppose this is not Erewhon, but still, when the price looks "wrong", customers tend to ask questions. To be fair, the manager was super awesomely helpful and took the time to explain how the pricing system works, so kudos to him ! Unfortunately, the interaction with the cashier was unnecessarily complicated. Asking to confirm the price of an item before paying seems like a pretty reasonable request. Aldi's prices are great, but the checkout customer service could use a little improvement. And if Emily happens to be running the register next time, perhaps management could let customers borrow the register for two minutes and run their own self-checkout while she enjoys a well-deserved chocolate break. read more

I'm really glad Aldi is here, especially since the Stater Bros. closed. I might not find everything I need, but usually if I need something in a pinch, I can find it at Aldi and it's super close. So that makes it ideal for quick runs to the market. The workers are usually friendly and I haven't have any negative experiences. Sometimes it's hard to find certain things in stock, but that's true of any store. Again, I'm glad Aldi is here and its one of the stores we come to consistently. read more

I actually usually enjoy coming to this Aldi and find that prices are great and the quality pretty good. I love their seasonal selection. And we all love the aisle of random things! However there is a cashier named Emily who is so incredibly rude and unprofessional. On several occasions I've seen her be really curt and impatient with customers often scolding them for not taking items out of their baskets or cutting customers off if they have questions. She looks absolutely miserable and honestly seems to hate her job. Why work with the public if you can't even hide your contempt for people just buying groceries. At least the employees at Vons are friendly. If this location isn't careful they're going to lose customers who are tired of being disrespected and made to feel uncomfortable by this Emily chick. read more

I went to Grocery Outlet today because Stater Bros. in Walnut closed down. They don't carry a lot of the name brands that I'm used to, and their produce section is really small. Besides two checkers (at the same check stand!), there was absolutely no one in the store to help. I had a few questions, but I had to go up to the checker to ask. There was a really long line, and they didn't open up another register. The prices are decent, but the selection is not great. The worst part about shopping here is that you have to put a quarter into a slot on the shopping cart in order to use it. Then, when you are done shopping, you have to take the cart back to get your quarter. It was confusing to me. Thank goodness a nice young girl helped me out. I don't plan to go back there unless I only need a few items. read more

I love shopping at Aldis and I go here often but I had a terrible experience shopping yesterday. When it came to check out, my card was declining and the cashier was being very rude and visibly frustrated with loud sighs and a rude tone. I was anxious and felt rushed so I asked to remove some items. He let out a huge sigh and yelled at me to remove what I didn't want. The large female cashier with all the tattoos and no name badge was exceptionally rude. I know the cashiers want to rush you out as quick as possible but in doing this, she made the whole trip longer because I had to swipe my card multiple times. Then she put my product into a cart with another persons stuff so it was extremely awkward trying to put my groceries into my bag as quickly as possible and not crush my bread. Complaint Regarding Spoiled Meat and Poor Customer Service I purchased a tray of flap meat from this store on 11/17. As soon as I opened it, I found that it was spoiled and the smell filled my entire kitchen. I immediately threw it into the outside trash bin because the odor was overwhelming. The next day, I contacted Aldi to report the issue and explained that I did not want to bring the meat back to the store because of the smell. However, they insisted that I return it. I ended up taking it back, and when I arrived, I had to wait in line for the cashier to process the return. The meat was sealed in a clear bag to minimize the odor, and the cashier didn't ask to see or verify the item. Unfortunately, the cashier accidentally processed a charge instead of refund!!! I then had to drive back to the store again to fix the mistake, and throughout the entire interaction, she did not apologize once. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I will not be returning to this Aldi location--and possibly not to any Aldi store again. read more

DEAR ALDI MANAGEMENT: please train your staff to be courteous and polite and accommodating! I love Aldi, don't get me wrong. It helps me save a lot of money in fresh produce and I always had positive shopping experiences here, until today. I went in thinking to get only bananas and chicken breast pack for my cats so I didn't get a cart like I normally do and went in with only 1 shopping bag in my hands. Before I knew it, I got avocados, grapes and celery too, and my God, those things are heavy! So after putting my bag at the cashier's moving conveyor belt, I saw 4 shopping carts locked in a row near the cashier and I right away got a quarter from my wallet and put that in to get myself a cart so I didn't need to carry such a heavy bag to my car. I was so shocked when the cashier yelled at me and said "ma'am! Those shopping carts need to stay here!" I tried to explain that I didn't expect to shop this much so I didn't get a cart when I walked in. She doesn't care and replied "then you need to walk outside and get one from outside!" Wow! Wow! Wow! Dear Aldi management, please train your staff to be courteous and polite and accommodating! What's wrong with getting that cart? Not sure where to begin. Let me start with the positive. The store has some unique items with competitive prices. I have bought perishables only to bring them home to see they expired( too much of a hassle to return) They have had some friendly and caring staff but they do not last long. When checking out, everyone rushed without any consideration to the customer from the speed of the conveyer belt to getting the customer out of line. Many of the employment, including management, are not friendly nor kind and would not ever go out of the way to help. They are one or two exceptions but the rule is to get the customer out as quickly as possible. Please be kind and considerate. read more

Years before Aldi showed up, I read a business article about a couple German grocers (Aldi and Lidl) coming to the US with the plan to bring savings to consumers. Their business model was to bring discounts to the customer by using lesser known name brands, and utilizing less employees to help reduce prices. One example, "25 cents, take your own cart back, so we don't have to hire an employee", among other things. After coming here for years now, I come back because of the prices and the products that we now use regularly. I've read other reviews of the bad customer service, but I have not dealt with that yet. The employees at this location have been courteous and friendly. My only issue is that some of the products (mostly produce or bread in my experience) that you like can get sold out, and this happens to me at least 1 out of every 5 visits. The selection of produce is quite limited, and the quality is not very good. There is also a small variety of meats available. Many of the products are off-brand and not especially appealing. Today around 1:00 p.m., I was helped by an employee named Hannah. From the start, she seemed irritated and dismissive. I had to activate my gift card, and while I admit I wasn't ready right away, I let her know once I was. Instead of acknowledging me, she ignored me, spoke over me, and deliberately chose to ring up another customer ahead of me even though I was next in line. When she finally did ring me up, her attitude was completely unprofessional. She brushed off everything I said, ignored my suggestions that she ask for help with the line, and when I asked if she was okay, she snapped back with, "I'm busy, do you see the line?" That is not an acceptable way to speak to a customer. On top of that, when I asked for her name, she refused to give it to me directly, saying, "It's on the receipt." I had to ask three separate times before she finally pointed it out. If she had the time to argue with me about giving her name, she had the time to simply answer the question. The way she treated me left me feeling dismissed, disrespected, and questioning whether I was being singled out. I've always loved ALDI and found the staff to be kind and professional, but Hannah's behavior was completely unacceptable. She clearly needs additional customer service training. I frequent this grocery store often, not because of their customer service, rather they have great deals abs items you can't find anywhere else. I would say I am 80% satisfied with my purchases, but they're produce however, is sub par. That's putting it kindly, it's a coin toss. They may have onions one day the next they don't. I was skeptical at first because many of the items are not the brand I used to buy. But, now, I love it. Great prices for fruit and vegs. The meat section has good sections. It has all the basic stuff that I normally buy (fruit, meat, vegs, milk, egg and ice cream). I love how fast the lines move. Very efficient. Over the past year, ALDI has become my favorite "western" grocery store to shop at. I'm always excited to see their weekly ads and sneak peeks for ALDI finds for the following week. Always something budget friendly and unique ! I got to say that this is my favorite ALDI location thus far. Everything is usually well stocked, big, clean store, plenty of parking in this plaza, and the times that I have gone (weekdays in the morning or at night), there were little to no lines. This location also has a wider freezer selection I feel like and I was able to find things here that I was not able to find at the La Puente location (seasonal yogurt drink flavors etc). Yeah, sometimes the produce and fruit are kinda not great, but you just gotta sift through what's there (I mean if you're used to 1v1-ing people at an Asian market, this should be nothing). Customer service here is A+. Always helpful when I cannot find something in the ad, when eggs were smashed in the front rack, they kindly replaced the rack with new eggs, and we were able to easily return items here! What I love the most about ALDI are their "limited/seasonal" items. SO many different kinds of hummus, cheeses, snacks, drinks, etc. Always something interesting in the ALDI finds section as well. AND because it's so affordable, I don't feel guilty trying all the new stuff! If it's good, I come back for more, if it's not my thing, it's alright! Also very random, but I like how well stocked they are with their informational brochures at the front of the store. They're pretty sturdy and great as table mats...lol. read more

I also did not like that I walked in with no cart, grabbed 2 things half and half and 3 bell peppers I asked for a bag and was given the bag but she put my two items in a cart asked me to move the cart to the side and bag my stuff and bring the cart back bumping in to other people doing the same. read more

Disclaimer - this review is only for this Aldi visit around 4pm today - May 27, 2024. Been going to this Aldi since they opened. I live around the neighborhood. Nothing but very pleasant experience; often chatting and respecting the store staff. I know how the checkout works. But today, Hannah at the checkout was beyond rude. I was unloading the box I used to keep my groceries together when she asked me to swing the cart around her and leave the stuff in the box. Then she dumped all the remaining groceries on to the conveyor. Now my veggies are bruised; still, I didn't say anything. She proceeded to scan the rest and literally dumping it in the cart without regard to the items. Most of my items weren't right side up in the cart. The berries in clamshells were on their side. I paid my stuff and went to the bagging area to organize my items. One box of berries seemed to have opened and spilled. I went to Hannah and told her about the spill. She stared at me for a few seconds and said "Just get another one". I did. Then I just casually mentioned to her that the spill may have been prevented had she not mishandled it. Her condescending tone "Sure. Have a nice day. I didn't mishandled it." And I replied, "Yes you did." She repeated again, "Sure. Have a nice day." Still condescending and dismissive. At this point, my wife and I just walked out to our car. At the parking lot, a lady loading her groceries approached and told us that she's had a bad experience with Hannah in the past. Similar rude attitude. So now she avoids her queue at the checkout. Perhaps management can give her a few more customer service training. I will still shop at Aldi but will now avoid her register. By the way Aldi, there have been a few reviews here specifically mentioning Hannah's rudeness. She gives your business a bad name. read more

I get Trader Joe's vibes here. It also reminds me of a mini Walmart cause they sell food and random house items, which are affordable. I could genuinely say Aldi store associates are the best. When my eggs cracked during checkout, they told me to get another box. I was amazed that they care. This shows their integrity and commitment to excellent customer service and grocery items. Despite having 1-2 registers open, I like how they're fast at ringing each customer up. I bought about 10 items and it took me less than 1 minute to checkout. The store associates are really good at what they do too. I appreciate them so much especially the woman who patiently waited for me to choose my avocados before restocking again. I love Aldi ! Where have I been ? I love their salmon, cauliflower pizza, corned beef brisket , fresh corn, keto bread. The list goes on. Don't forget to bring your quarter to use the cart. I was wondering why the cart would not come out of the cart stall my first time visiting Aldi. Lol They have great produce, cheese and eggs. The cashiers have always been friendly fast and efficient. Ample parking. This is location of the prior staples. I had a family gathering recently and all the food was from Aldi ! Everyone was surprised when I told them the bbq chicken, sautéed green beans, pastrami sliders were from Aldo. The store layout, size and limited items makes the shopping experience fast. I've got things to do so I load up and get out quickly ! The prices are reasonable which is good news for Aldi customers. Hurry and go now ! You won't regret it ! read more

I am so happy we have an Aldi near us. It's in a great location, Grand and Valley, so convenient! They have such a great selection of cheeses and breads. The cookies are good too, they have things that other markets do not carry. I took some pictures of my favorites with a description of what they taste like. Oh and they have this frozen treat it's a tube of horchata, its so creamy and so satisfying. Let it sit out of the freezer for like 10 mins before you cut it open. The consistency will be so perfect. They have a great selection of seafood and things like whole duck and whole turkey, which are very hard to find, especially off season. Meaning not during the holidays. The only thing that they are not strong in is the chips department, all of the off brand chips just don't hold up to the more popular counterparts. read more

I've been shopping at Aldi more this past year. Their produce section is limited but fresh. I notice that they stay fresh in my fridge longer and doesn't mold as quickly. They offer a small selection of organic produce. Their cheese selection is impressive! They're able to offer affordable prices because they sell a lot of off label items and of course, you gotta bag your own groceries. I don't really buy meat here because it's not the best quality with limited pickings. Sometimes the lines here are outrageously long. Staff presence is limited so it's kind of hard to flag someone down if you need assistance. The sale items go quickly and occasionally they don't restock it for awhile. I had an incident a couple months ago where they charged me the wrong price for all my weighted produce. I'm not sure if their scale was off or the cashier didn't know what he was doing. He rectified the mistake quickly and apologized. However, he told me he couldn't refund me on my credit card and issued me store credit. I thought that was a bit odd, but I come weekly so it wasn't a huge deal. read more

Checked in this weekend to stock up on my Favorite bagged Sweet Kale Salad and Spicy Sausage Calzones! They serve as the best Backup Food Treasures when I am craving something hearty, fresh, and deliciously satisfying :0) The Calzones taste extra delicious with this Amazing Garlic Aoili they sell here too! I also found the most fuzzy and comforting Country Style Throw on my way to the checkout Aisle. This was my first time entering an Aldi and I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. Since this is the only Aldi I've been to, it seemed on the smaller side as far as supermarkets go, such as our local Sprouts. But overall, everything was fairly clean and laid out, but what I liked the best is that their prices were very reasonable. We did get a bit too many of their sweet items, such as cookies and donuts, which weren't actually that good so we probably won't get that again, but as far as fruit, butter, and other regular items, I thought the prices were very reasonable. As others have noted, the staff wasn't exactly friendly, but it was adequate. Also, for a Sunday evening, it was very empty compared to other supermarkets we've visited during that time. For that alone is worth going here. read more
