This Hannam Chain/Korean grocery store is one of the older locations and the Market World name is still visible outside. Huge parking lot. Building doesn't look appealing from outside. The set up inside isn't exactly the same as other Hannam store locations, but the Korean groceries and gifts are legit. Spacious. What I like were the restaurants onsite and Bonjour Bakery inside. Lots of food items to choose from. Cashiers want to ring you up quickly as they are mostly fast and efficient. What I noticed was that there are multiple vendors inside in various parts of the grocery store. Micromanagers. If you want to buy gifts at the front, you pay separately at the assigned counter and not at the grocery checkout area. Interesting. What a different experience here. If you want to buy something in back, you pay near that area. Everything else you would pay at grocery checkout lanes. Dining inside would be a great option since the food bar counters are open and there's seating available. Pajamas, handmade goods, handbags, hats, kitchen decors, etc. are plentiful and easily found here. Good varieties. It's just a very old store trying to survive. No lines and no crowds around 1:30pm on a casual Monday. It's not the best Hannam location for me, but still very convenient to stop by. read more

I am so shaken with anger and disappointment with this establishment. I came in here looking to buy something to drink because it was so hot. It was hot in here too so I took off my windbreaker. As soon as I did, a worker looked at me and said THIS B**TCH in Korean. I looked at her because I understoof what she said and told my boyfriend that she cursed me, the worker turned away immediately and left. We left the store promptly because what kind of disgusting behavior is that? Don't come here. No wonder the store has such a low rating with nasty people. read more

This place is freaking dirty and very sketchy how they repack produce and perishables. The bagging clerks are lazy and rather chit chat with each other than do their jobs. The Korean ajumma cashiers think they are entitled, to telling you to not use too many bags, refuses to give more bags, even though I'm buying them to carry my stuff! There's this specific one that always makes some unnecessary comment in her broken English. Next time I'll get her name. Also, the last time I got groceries from here, the Latino cashier couldn't even tell what type of sweet potato I'm buying and had to break it open to see the color it is, instead of just asking me! I know this market is not as nice as H Mart, but I just enjoy the vibes more. The food stalls inside are also pretty good: The Hannam Deli has a good variety of side dishes. Coffee & More makes fresh taiyaki and drinks. Combo House has tasty black bean noodles and king dumplings. The Mommyson kimbap stand next to the market entrance has really good kimbap, especially when it is fresh. (I prefer this place over the place in the Diamond Bar H Mart) The walnut candy stall has tasty nut cluster snacks (not sure what their opening hours are since sometimes they are there, sometimes not). The bakery's goods are less expensive than Paris Baguette's and their bread is fire. There's a new noodle place next to the bakery I haven't tried yet but it looks promising! (Update: Tried the noodle place (Mimi Noodle) and it was really good!) There's sometimes a lady who sells things like roasted sweet potatoes between the bakery and noodle place. The sweet potatoes always hit. Purchased fresh meat on Friday, January 9, 2026. The package was packed on 1/8 and clearly labeled "Sell By 1/11." When I opened it on Sunday, January 11, 2026 (the sell-by date), the meat was already spoiled with a strong, unmistakable odor, despite being unopened and properly refrigerated the entire time. The store refused any refund or exchange, citing a "fresh items after 24 hours" policy. This response is unacceptable. A store policy does not override basic food safety standards. Selling spoiled meat that is still within its sell-by date is a serious health concern. Extremely disappointed and concerned about quality control. There's also a small little restaurant in this supermarket but I didn't have much time to eat so the kimbap did well for me. I was actually full from with 3 pieces left. I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit. The store was not busy at all, and there were multiple employees available. I was checked out at register #5, and the cashier's name was Sarah. As she scanned my items, she slid them down without bagging anything. I politely asked who would be bagging the groceries, and she responded that they "don't have hands to offer extra help." I understand that when a store is busy or short-staffed, customers may need to bag their own items, but that was not the situation here. The interaction quickly became inappropriate. Sarah demanded that I bag everything myself and then handed the bags to my child, telling her to bag the items because she was "younger." She made comments implying that younger people should be the ones doing the bagging because she was older than us. How dare she make assumptions based on age, this felt extremely inappropriate and discriminatory. She could have easily helped by placing items directly into the bags as she scanned them, but instead said that was "not her job" and continued with a rude and dismissive attitude. She also complained that next time we "shouldn't buy so many items" if we expected help with bagging. What made this even more upsetting was that other customers at nearby registers were clearly receiving help with bagging, while we were singled out and denied assistance. Another employee even walked by and offered to help, but Sarah told him to leave, stating that "they will bag their own items." Being treated differently from other customers in this way was unacceptable. A manager was standing nearby watching the entire interaction. When I asked if she could assist, she looked directly at me and said she could not help because it was "not her duty." That response showed a complete lack of leadership and customer care. On top of all this, I witnessed a serious hygiene concern. While using the restroom, I saw an employee exit a stall and walk straight out without washing his hands, then return to work at the meat section wearing the same gloves. This was extremely concerning from a food safety standpoint. Overall, customer service here continues to decline. This experience left a very negative impression, and I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously. read more

I came to this Korean market after getting a Bubble N Cone. We love Korean food and shops. I came few times in the past. A minute I walked into the supermarket; it totally stinks. I simply fast walked through the market. They have different small vendors inside the market. There were 2 food vendor and one boba vendor. Recommendation: They need to revamp the whole store decor and add ventilation. I prefer mostly H-mart, Cravings, and 99 Ranch Market at this time. It's actually a Korean market geared towards Asians; I say this because I did find wonton noodles but not near the noodle section at all it was closer to the tofu section. Prices are reasonable ton of ramen, noodles, rice, 3 restaurants, a bakery and 2 smaller stores that sell ready to eat foods such as; Kimchi, Kimbap, Bibimbap, scallion pancake, anchovy's, fried fish and banchan - Korean small side dishes! Horrible customer service from the manager. I went to buy seaweed flakes and had only one bottle left. As soon as I came home and opened it, the safety seal had been partially broken and upon opening it all the way, there was a foul stench from it. I immediately went back, in the rain, and asked for a refund. The manager looked at me as if I were crazy and said, "The date is the date it was made." I showed him that the date stamped clearly "BBD" (best by date). And it was for June 2025, and I bought it in December to prepare for New Year's Day brunch (2026). I told him there's a strong, foul stench. He smelled it and then said, "What's wrong with the smell?" Clearly, he knew it was foul because he had made a face and tried so hard to hide it. I remember when Hannam first opened, before Diamond Bar H Mart, and most people either flocked here, to Greenland, or even to Galleria. It's not the cleanest, as Hannam's been around for awhile, but it is convenient if one needs to a few items. There are a few vendors within the market, but I have not fully walked around the market in awhile. I tend to head over to the produce section and to either the fridge or freezer aisles. The checkout lines are a bit interesting, as the "conveyor" belt is the old-style circular one so it does not fit as many items. Overall, it can be convenient to pick up a few items, when needed, but the parking lot can get quite busy as well due to all the restaurants and stores. read more

First, my mom bought a whole box of napa cabbage, came back home and only had half a box. She didn't say anything. Then today she went to buy a box of orange, and they decided to weight her box when she came out. Not only the box had molding oranges inside, they also accused her of getting more. They weighted including the box (which they should not and the box added a lot more weight) and took out two oranges. So that means their boxes were underweight to begin with. I've been to this market twice to visit Bonjour Bakery. Both times I've visited, I walk though the produce section with the intent to pick up some fruits and veggies, but it seems that everything is old and moldy. Last time I wanted to get blueberries, but most of the packages had moldy blueberries. Today I went in and the pallets of strawberries were starting to shrivel up, and I couldn't find a single bag of shallots that weren't moldy with flies flying all around them. I really liked this Korean supermarket. There are several in the area, such the more popular H Mart nearby, but they also have a Greenland Market which is only a few miles down the road, or the Galleria Market that is even a little further down, but also a local Korean supermarket. This place is not as clean as H Mart, but I think it's cleaner than Greenland or the Galleria. Also, the prices are cheaper than H Mart and I think on par with the other two Korean supermarkets nearby. The service isn't great, but that's true of many Asian supermarkets, except for Japanese supermarkets which usually have pretty good service. I'm thinking of Nijiya Market or Tokyo Central in West Covina where the service has surprisingly been decent overall. Anyway, this is our go-to Korean supermarket. I especially like they have some food stalls inside that you can also purchase various Korean dishes, such as jajangmyeon or what not, as well as another stall that sells Korean fried chicken. read more

I want to rate them better, but I can't. Their produce is very inconsistent. The fruit is rarely good. The prices are often good but it seems like that's only the case bc the product is getting old and they need to get rid of it. If you are lucky and come early Sat you might find fresher items. I don't know how to rate their meat/seafood. I've only purchased sliced meat for grill/hot pot, and their fish balls (better prices than Hmart), but only when they look ok and the plan is to use in a day or two. I guess that's the advice I'd give... come to check the deals if you have time, and don't expect to stock up and hold onto item as they are likely to go bad sooner then later. In regard to Korean grocery item they have a good selection and average pricing. I have not tried their precooked deli items or their food stalls. They do have a little stand inside that sells roasted yam that's nice and I wish there were more options like this in other markets. Not too sure how I feel about this supermarket. Its a local Korean supermarket located in Diamond Bar that has some basic Korean stuff like instant ramen, gojuchang, produce, etc. The prices are ok depending on the sales for that week. If theres a sale, then its a good deal otherwise the prices can be a little steep. I took down one star because the cashier was very rude. I didnt know that the market does not accept American Express so I kept swiping my card and getting the error message. I thought something was wrong with my card and instead of letting me know they dont accept Amex, the cashier just stood there and glare at me as though I didn't have money to pay. I ended up paying with cash before the gentleman behind me let me know that they dont accept amex, something that the cashier could have told me instead of standing there and giving me the look as though I cant afford to pay. read more

TLDR: Low quality, slightly less pricey Korean market. Walked through Hannam since it is closer to my house than H Mart. It is a local Korean market with ample parking in a plaza that also has other eateries, cosmetics stores, and general fashion shopping. Hannam houses in it a few bakeries and restaurants that is not unusual to Asian supermarkets. The eateries inside are "meh." There is a narrow selection of items here but likely enough for the average shopper looking for ingredients. The store overall is not very clean, and the produce section is a clear reflection of it. There are some fruits and vegetables that are alright, but when I went to browse the cherries that I were craving, I cringed and walked towards the peaches instead, which I hope taste alright. The cherries had wrinkly skin, and some were beginning to rot... the peaches on the outside looked okay. Fingers crossed! read more

Old school Korean Market. Don't forget to grab a shopping cart from outside in the parking lot because they don't have any once you get in. The carts are old and rickety - probably there from when they first opened decades ago. Once you get in the market you will notice right away that it's not very cold. Ummm I think that's a bad thing considering they are storing food. The refrigerators are weak so none of the food seems really cold upon touch. Those Yakult beverages are like luke warm sometimes. Fruit and veggies are okay. I don't usually buy much greens there. At the end of that aisle they have some cooked foods made daily. They are decent. Nothing you must try. Don't bother with their meat, fish or seafood. So why do I go there? The Kimchi they make in-house and sell in big glass jars is really yummy. Their chips and snacks and stuff like coffee mix is slightly cheaper than Hmart. They have some cute shops in the same center way in the corner where Paris Baguette is. Don't expect the cashiers to be friendly. They are generally mean and cross. But same goes for Hmart folks. Good luck finding sacks of rice. I literally couldn't find any tonight. read more

Bought some groceries there on my way home and was super hungry with a headache. I selected a Korean Sushi at the cashier kiosk, and added the sushi to the conveyer belt. My anticipation was to unwrap the sushi when I get home, heat up some soup and end my night happily... BUT NO, plans don't run so smoothly The ajima and ajashi was having a conversation about how much sojul I can purchase during their "Sojul Holiday Promo"; ajima were so focused, she forgot to count in my sushi. There's a limit where you can only buy 20 bottles. I hit the limit by exceeding eight bottles more (28 bottles total). And so the argument starts, "No no no, it is per household"... "You can only buy 20 bottles maximum" I had to explain 20 bottles was for the family, and 8 bottles was for my office potluck. Luckily I had a family member with me; we had two separate transactions. Now I'm hangry, and storming an alternative **forgot to add, their cashier staffs are rarely nice. The amigos working and stocking the fresh produce are much more friendly. Not sure if I came too early, but a weekday around 9:30am and the only marinated Korean meats that were there were quite pathetic, discolored, and sad. I came here looking for some marinated meats, but sadly left with nothing. I took a quick walk around the market since I never been here before, and it smelled horribly because there were dried fish/squid hanging in the seafood area. I think this is my mum's favorite Korean market, I'm not 100% sure if she prefers this over H-Mart, but it's for sure a tie at the least. This is a really cute Korean-Asian market, it's smaller than H-Mart and the prices are relatively similar. They both have a great produce section and they both have little restaurants inside so you can get a little nom, nom, nom while you buy food for future noms. Sometimes they have samples, but the ajjumas can be sassy af - they get like annoyed with me because I don't speak Korean, giving me side-eye and shit. But whatever, ima just get another sample. They have really, really good kimchi - it's nice a spicier compared to others that we've bought. Good meat & seafood selection as well! Even if you're not into Korean food, the prices on the produce are way better than like Albertsons or Ralph's. read more

I recommend stay away from this market. I bought the 5 dry squid in April. I had chewing issues so I wanted to return 4 of them not knowing I had to return in 7 days. I asked them to see if they can make an exception but they wouldn't. This joint would not let me return even though dry squid was in good condition and still had four months till expiration.
