This is our neighborhood supermarket, and I go there every week. I'm surprised to see such a low rating. The store is clean, and they just finished renovating last year, and I like the idea of the aisle signs with the street names in Walnut. The aisles are wide enough and easy to navigate. It's always busy, but they have a few self-checkouts available and the staff were also friendly. I can find everything I need there. I also tried their pharmacy to get a flu shot, and the service was quick and friendly. (The Stater Bros is already gone, we cannot lose Vons.)

Immediately need to fire Cashier Alana, super rude smacking her teeth chewing gum. I had a coinstar ticket ready to scan but no groceries, a lady with groceries put her items on the belt so I already knew to immediately let the cashier know that those items weren't mine. Well when I did so she gave me a dirty look, handed me the money in a careless way. You shouldn't be on register if you're going to be rude, maybe move her to stocking shelves or shelf checkout.

They have good deals on Friday

They have the best meat case, and the customer service is excellent. Make sure to ask for Oscar.

Ladies at self check are so bad. I asked them about an item, they wanted me to read the details myself and walked away.

Manger is rude and not helpful. Saw the way she spoke to the staff and was very unprofessional. The store also has trash all over the floor.

I might not find…read moreeverything I need, but usually if I need something in a pinch, I can find it at Aldi and it's super close. So that makes it ideal for quick runs to the market. The workers are usually friendly and I haven't have any negative experiences. Sometimes it's hard to find certain things in stock, but that's true of any store. Again, I'm glad Aldi is here and its one of the stores we come to consistently.

I don't shop at Aldi very often, so this was a confusing experience…read more I picked up a package of chicken legs that were advertised in the store for $1.99 per pound. However, the package label itself still showed the regular price per pound. Since the printed barcode label showed a higher price, I simply asked my cashier of the day, Emily, if she could confirm that the sale price per pound was actually being applied at the register. Instead of checking the price, Emily, who looked visibly annoyed by my "extremely complicated" request, told me she could not see the price per pound and that I would have to pay first before seeing the price on the receipt. She also suggested that I could simply pay first if the price turned out to be wrong, and then process a refund afterward. That felt completely backwards. Customers should not have to complete a purchase just to verify the price of an item sold by weight. For a brief moment I thought I had accidentally stepped into a South Asian government office somewhere, where the process is: pay first, ask questions later. In my mind I was thinking, "I'm not asking for the secrets of the universe here. I only asked you to read the price per pound that your register is showing, so I can feel good about saving $1.79." When I explained that I simply wanted to confirm the price before paying, Emily my cashier of the day became even more annoyed and asked, "So do you want to buy this or not?" When I said I would rather not pay without knowing the actual price per pound, she ended the interaction with, "Then We are done." Jeez.... Curiosity got the best of me, so I walked around the store until I found the store manager afterward and asked how customers are supposed to know they are getting the advertised sale price (while showing him the weekly ad)? He explained that the price printed on the package is usually the regular price, while the sale price appears at the register when the item is scanned. Fair enough. But for someone who does not shop at Aldi often, this is not obvious at all, especially when the printed label shows a completely different price. I suppose this is not Erewhon, but still, when the price looks "wrong", customers tend to ask questions. To be fair, the manager was super awesomely helpful and took the time to explain how the pricing system works, so kudos to him ! Unfortunately, the interaction with the cashier was unnecessarily complicated. Asking to confirm the price of an item before paying seems like a pretty reasonable request. Aldi's prices are great, but the checkout customer service could use a little improvement. And if Emily happens to be running the register next time, perhaps management could let customers borrow the register for two minutes and run their own self-checkout while she enjoys a well-deserved chocolate break.

Cleanliness is basically what you'd expect from an Asian Supermarket. Best thing about this market is the 62 Noodle street, which is a really overdue review on my end Was trying to buy some items when we noticed it rang up as more expensive than what we saw. Cashier basically told us the price scanned is what it is and don't look at the tag saying we saw the wrong items tagged and barcode. She basically told us she can't do anything since that's what it scans as. I'm pretty sure I checked the tag so we went back grabbed the tag and brought it up. The barcodes matched so we escalated to someone more knowledgeable since the cashier didn't want to do anything. After 5-10 mins someone finally came up and said that's the price on the tag and they had to honor it. Took a lot of effort and basically the blamed corporate/headquarters for changing the prices and them not updating their tags. Not sure how that makes sense, but that's their reasoning. So be careful and aware of prices here

After exiting See's Candies at the Towne Centre Village in Diamond Bar, I received a phone call…read morefrom my Mom. She asked me to buy her one bunch of bananas to give to her neighbor. Of course, I couldn't say no. Luckily, there is an Albertsons within the village. We were on our way! My eldest daughter and I walked into this Albertsons and headed straight to the produce section. We had no time to waste because our See's chocolates were melting away in the car LOL... it was very warm that day! Anyway, the bananas were riping away, too LOL... I didn't care for them being too ripe or yellow. I asked the produce stocker if they had any more bananas in the back that were less ripe. He came back with a few boxes of fresh bananas that still had some green to them. Thank you young man!! We got our banana bunch. Headed to the register to pay. Line was short. After payment, we were out of here. Very quick visit. We didn't get a chance to peruse the rest of the store, but I did get to snap a few photos here and there. I've been to other Albertsons in the past. This one is no different. It was clean and organized. Aisles were wide. I was a little sad when I saw there weren't very many customers while we were here. Sometimes I wonder how all the different supermarkets compete with one another. Good luck Albertsons! For the Diamond Bar residents and/or anyone visiting the area, come on out and support your neighborhood Albertsons!

I am writing a follow-up review because I noticed Store Manager Dawn M. has directed other customer…read morecomplaints in the reviews to Albertsons' official "Contact Us" page. I followed that process and submitted my concern there, but several days have now passed, and I have received no response. Unfortunately, since my previous review, I returned to this location and had yet another troubling experience. This time, I was with a friend, and we were the only POCs in the checkout line. Before our turn, the cashier was warm, cheerful, and engaged with the customers ahead of us. She smiled, chatted, and appeared to be in a very good mood. The moment we stepped forward, that demeanor disappeared. We greeted her politely, smiled, and behaved courteously. In return, we received no greeting, no acknowledgment, and no basic courtesy. The contrast was so immediate and obvious that both my friend and I noticed it. What made the interaction even more uncomfortable was the way our items were handled. Instead of placing them down normally, the cashier dropped or pushed several items onto the counter with unnecessary force. We had never met this employee before, and there was no conflict or misunderstanding that could explain such hostility. At this point, it is very difficult to keep treating these experiences as isolated incidents. Different employees have been involved, yet the pattern keeps repeating. If there is another explanation, I would welcome one. But after repeated uncomfortable experiences, a previous complaint, following the "Contact Us" process referenced by Dawn M., and receiving no response, I am left feeling that these concerns are simply being ignored. I continue to shop here because this store is close to my home, but it is deeply upsetting to feel anxious about going to a neighborhood grocery store because of how I may be treated at checkout. I would appreciate a substantive response from Albertsons rather than continued silence.

The staff, from my experience, are polite and helpful. Overall, my experiences here have been pleasant. Ok, so here are reasons why I would not give higher stars: Restocking of shelves appears to be done during peak hours. This is awkward when you are trying to grab something from a shelf but employees are working and blocking the aisles. I'm not talking about one aisle, but the entire store, again during busy hours. Other markets, appear to do this overnight or off peak hours. My true gripe is the payment system. In the year of 2024, I am able to use my debit or credit card by tapping the pay machine. Here at Walmart market (or the super store), this does not exist. Here I insert my credit or debit card in the pay machine that reads "error" at least 5 times before it accepts it. My same card that works perfectly fine at every other store. So here is the issue. The biggest and richest retail chain in the US won't spend the difference for pay machines that use the contactless pay method.

I reported the issue to the store, but the manager only refunded the ice cream and gave a verbal apology. This was not just a simple refund issue. It was a serious suspected food safety incident involving a child and medical treatment. I believe Walmart should investigate the product batch, freezer temperature records, and storage conditions. I am very disappointed with how this was handled.
