If you have a food need, even food for your dog or cat, or just a friendly welcoming smile, it's all here. One set an appointment to meet with the administrators of the pantry to discuss your food and dietary requirements. Today, I enjoyed meeting some amazing folks. The Cedar Hill Food Pantry received donations from Sprouts, Target, Tom Thumb, Walmart, Kroger and many other grocers. There were offerings of freshly baked bagels, orange and blueberry scones, French bread, chocolate donuts, cakes, crackers, pita bread, granola, cereal, diapers, wipes, nuts, protein bars, canned vegetables and meats. Other items include a variety of fresh fruits. And, much much more... I was told the large capacity freezer was just donated to the pantry. A tremendous need to keep refrigerated items frozen or cold. The pantry didn't have milk or eggs on this day. But Soror Porter volunteers on a regular basis and shared that eggs and milk are expected to arrive by truck later this week. I must say this is a well stocked pantry!

We loaded ours up with a mix of cucumbers, lemon, turmeric, ginger, apples, oranges, and celery. The balance was perfect, and you could really tell they use high-quality, crisp ingredients. Anyway this store is very clean. They are always in stock of the items I am looking for. Produce section is spacious with a good variety. The interactions I have had with the bakery department have been very impressive. They always seem friendly and willing to help in whatever way they can. Living closer to this location now I will be going there frequently. One of the biggest things that stood out for me was that they have one full isle dedicated to multi cultural cuisine that range from sauces to candy to drinks. I was then kindly greeted by Mannie, Mgr and was connected with Norman; who took it from there and made sure that my needs were taken care of. I was in and out in very little time. Each one of the above individuals mentioned, was very customer focused; kind and went over and above and made me feel like such a part of the Walmart family. When no one had any nice Christmas trees left, they had a nice selection with several options. Granted, I haven't used curbside pickup here. As far as pricing goes, it's like any other Walmart.
