If you have a food need, even food for your dog or cat, or just a friendly welcoming smile, it's all here. One set an appointment to meet with the administrators of the pantry to discuss your food and dietary requirements. Today, I enjoyed meeting some amazing folks. The Cedar Hill Food Pantry received donations from Sprouts, Target, Tom Thumb, Walmart, Kroger and many other grocers. There were offerings of freshly baked bagels, orange and blueberry scones, French bread, chocolate donuts, cakes, crackers, pita bread, granola, cereal, diapers, wipes, nuts, protein bars, canned vegetables and meats. Other items include a variety of fresh fruits. And, much much more... I was told the large capacity freezer was just donated to the pantry. A tremendous need to keep refrigerated items frozen or cold. The pantry didn't have milk or eggs on this day. But Soror Porter volunteers on a regular basis and shared that eggs and milk are expected to arrive by truck later this week. I must say this is a well stocked pantry!

No one answered the phone after several minutes. Finally, I saw a young man passing by who appeared to be cleaning the store. I asked him if he could get help for the Seafood counter. After several more minutes, another gentleman came out, did not speak and stood there and looked at me as though to say, "What do you want?" I told him what I wanted. He gave me my order and asked me if there was anything else without so much as an apology or a thank you. I will never go back to this store again, as this is not the first time I have had a poor experience at this location. At a time when customers have several shopping choices, Kroger really needs to get it together as a franchise. The Mansfield location is not much better.

When I approached the counter at the lube seat with a bag of oil spill cleanup, I told the guy behind the counter that this was to clean up the oil in my driveway. I had an awesome experience from beginning to end. I was greeted by Brooklyn with a kind smile and welcome and given some direction as to where I needed to go. I was then kindly greeted by Mannie, Mgr and was connected with Norman; who took it from there and made sure that my needs were taken care of. I was in and out in very little time. Each one of the above individuals mentioned, was very customer focused; kind and went over and above and made me feel like such a part of the Walmart family. Hat's off to this location for having all the essential stuff we needed, plus a few extras. However, the point of this post is to let you know who wonderful the general manager was. Someone a hunk of beef that was mislabeled was priced at $47.10, yes, 2 pounds of beef, nothing fancy, not prime rib, a basic 2 pound hunk of beef. After going over my receipts and trying to figure out why roughly 60 bucks worth of food/non food item came up to $114.00 I notice that I was charged $47.10 for this beef, I promptly took it back into the store and told the lady working at customer service that we did not intend to spend 47.10 on 2lbs of beef, point to the "Corona Virus" return policy, tapped it twice with her pin and said 'sorry, no returns it's the law (rude). Pissed, I went back to my car, and then my husband noticed that price on the meat had been marked down from $47.10 to $9.08 with meant we SHOULD HAVE PAID ONLY $9.08, I ran my butt back into the store and while waiting to got back to the same customer service chick (dreading my impending conversation with her) the general manager walked up to me, ask me if he could help (extremely polite man, tall, Hispanic looking, lean with great hair) and I explained to him the situation, he promptly instructed the chick in customer service to return all of my money and apologized for the mislabeling of the slab of meat. He then took a picture of the price on the meat and said he would ensure that things were correctly moving forward. I customer service chick acted like she was really annoyed with having to return the money (rude), however, I thanked them both and took my $47.10 meat and my refund as skipped happily out of the store. Thank You General Manager and Albertson in Cedar Hill for taking care of us.

I'm a frequent Albertsons shopper, and this was by far the worst customer service experience I've…read moreever had at one of their deli counters. This happened early Saturday morning when the store wasn't busy. I stood at the deli counter for 2-3 minutes before being acknowledged. When the employee finally addressed me, I placed my order, and she rudely yelled that she couldn't hear me and that I needed to speak up. The way she said it was completely unnecessary and honestly embarrassing. When I asked for another item, I was abruptly told they were out. No alternative was offered or even suggested. When I received my order, the food was poorly sliced and simply thrown into the bag with what felt like zero care or attention. The employee, Ms. Tammy, was extremely dismissive and lacked basic customer service. I believe some coaching and redirection on how to respectfully interact with customers would be appropriate. I shop at Albertsons regularly, but experiences like this make me reconsider where I spend my money. Customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, always.
