This grocery store does offers limited pots, pans and cooking utensils but do NOT expect to be high quality pots for avid cooks/ chefs as Williams Sonoma, Sur La Table, or Calphalon standard quality. There are also mainstream American frozen foods, juice, soda of standard American brand names available. Customer service is, indeed, nonexistent and albeit dismissive, curt, mired in disgruntled melancholy behavioral appearance exhibited and transparent to customers. Return policy is absolutely deplorable egregiously inferior and excessively poor standards of a traditional brick and mortar business. I agree with previous Yelpers with the excessively poor female cashiers' customer service and stolid dismissive behaviors. They do, indeed, exhibit rude scowl belligerent looks to customers as serial thieves. Personally, I like to explore, wanderer freely and openly, plus read products throughout the entire store aisles to see if any item possibly attracts my attention for potential purchase(s). I saw from outside they had a deli so I figured let me get a quick meal. As I walked in I saw everything was so neatly organized. It looked like no one touched anything, every product was in itself place. I must have gone at a great hour because there were not too many people inside. It was probably the cleanest supermarket i have been in. I will say the deli items were pricey but it was delicious! I unfortunately do not live nearby but if I did, I would definitely go more often.

Inside there is a line to order, as well as kiosks on the side. There are also two small tables if you want to eat inside. The bathroom is very clean, and they also have a sink by the wall to wash your hands. Service is efficient and I got my food about 15 minutes after ordering. My favorite was 100% the doubles. The basic channa double with tamarind sauce and mango chutney was so soft and perfectly sweet and tangy. The oxtail and goat curry were also good, but the channa was far superior---which says a lot since I love meat. I like the softer texture of doubles more than the thicker aloo pie and thinner/dryer roti. And considering how affordable every item is, I would definitely come back if I am around the area!

The shop is steady busy with takeout orders and the occasional folks (like me) who wanted to sit and enjoy my first doubles there. They only have two tables and chairs. Most people order to go. You may order at the kiosk and wait for your number to be called when it is ready to pick up. The kiosk is good because it easily shows all the sauces you may add to your doubles and the variety of other things like drinks, etc you may order. There is also the option to get in line and place your oder. You can watch the assembly line of workers quickly making food. Then check out with the cashier. They sell lots of different cakes, breads, nuts, and drinks too. I was a little overwhelmed on what to order, but a nice employee helped me out. I showed him what I was trying to order and asked for suggestions. Thanks to him I had the best doubles! Added tamarind sauce, mango chutney, and the benny sauce. The perfect vegetarian meal for $2.50! It is made of roti (flatbread), curried chickpeas, and topped with the sauces. Then rolled up to make a sandwich. So flavorful! I wasn't too sure which drink to get as I wasn't sure what they all tasted like. Chose the Seamoss drink, which is a mix of milk, seams, nutmeg, and some spices. Milky and not overly sweet. This was good. Maybe next time I'll get sorrel, which is hibiscus. They said the peanut drink is good too. Ordered Pholourie with tamarind sauce. These are fried savory dough balls. I couldn't resist getting a sweet treat. So, I randomly picked the salara bread, which looks like a cinnamon swirl bread slice. It is actually stuffed with shredded coconut that is colored red and tastes like cherry. Pretty good and not overly sweet. Definitely add this place to your list of eats in Queens. It is a trek from the city, but so good! Also, nice that it is a little bit away from the loud busy part of Liberty Ave in Richmond Hill. This is about a 15-20 min walk from there on Lefferts Blvd. Restroom available.

This Caribbean-centric market is compact but well-stocked and neatly organized, although if an item eludes you, ask as it may be just a few steps away. The store shares two adjacent storefronts. Great source for produce at good prices. Besides readily available items, there are many common island ingredients: okra, peppers (Scotch bonnets, sweet, pimento), dasheen bush, callaloo leaf, and thyme. Groceries include many varieties of grains, salted fish (dry and wet in bag), sauces and seasonings, spices, snacks, and canned and jarred goods, and among them, plentiful Caribbean imports. Pig's tail and salted beef too! The fruits and vegetables are great to buy. Besides produce, I've also purchased canned ackee, dried sorrel petals, Crix crackers (multiple types), Golden Ray margarine, salted fish, salted beef, browning sauce, curry powder, and a myriad of other spices and seasonings. A great grocer for Caribbean cooking basics. Service is efficient and friendly. Conveniently located in the commercial area just outside the Sutphin E line station.

Like other markets in the area, they carry lots of Guyanese products alongside other ethnic grocery products. They have a meat area and a seafood area. If you're looking for Guyanese rice, as well as other bulk rice packages, they have it. The staff is customer friendly enough. Some of the cashiers are quite nice and take the time to say hello to my kid and that always scores points with me. I've shopped here maybe 4 times since they've opened and it's a good market. It's as good as any of the other ethnic markets in the neighborhood but with that added bonus that it's super close to home. Normally, if I want to buy lots of fruit, I have to go down to Lefferts and Liberty - but not anymore. Definitely give these people a try. The service will be practically the same as the service you receive at all the other markets. You'll have good with the bad, but that's normal. So far, it's been good. Check them out.
