A very good fish market in Glendale queens that has plenty different types of fish and seafood as well as seafood salads and fried fish available as well..my cuz told me that he gets his shrimps and lobster here as well as his clams as he enjoys them as he is not a big fish eater .I got some jumbo shrimps , clams and mussels which were priced reasonable and a few pieces of lemon fillet for my cuz as well. So, the fish market I normally go to was close due to Covid-19, so of course I went here on yelp to see about a fish market not too far from me & I came across Lisa's Fish Market. I was making Cioppino (Italian seafood stew) & needed good quality seafood. What intrigued me about Lisa's Fish Market was the five star rating & the consistency with the positive feedback from the reviews. Upon entering I was greeted with very welcoming hello & how can I help you. Lisa asked me what I was looking for & what was I making. I told her I needed shrimp, salmon, clams & mussels. They didn't have peeled & deveined shrimp out, but she stated it's no problem for them to do it now. The prices are moderate, although I have to be honest the salmon by the pound is more than the fish market I go to & the supermarket I go to, but due to the excellent customer service, I was ok with that. I really love mussels & would hope maybe in the future she'll get green New Zealand mussels, but when I went she only had Black Diamond mussels. Overall Lisa is extremely friendly as prior reviews have stated & she makes you feel very welcomed. They have a variety of seafood & if you have any questions Lisa is very helpful. read more

the woman showed me the salmon and said "it s wild!" it looked like farm raised atlantic salmon, i asked and where it s from? "canada" she said. "in that case it s not wild" i say. no wild atlantic salmon enters the market, it s against the law and defenitly woudn t cost $18lb. she stuttered "that s what some are telling me.... ". ok. i asked about the shrimps. are they wild? no, farm raised. from where? from ecuador she said with pride. not happy but no choice. i asked for one lb of the small one $11.99lb. she weighted exactly one lb and said "for you only $12" ha ha ha.....2 stars for the fish 1 for the professional service. read more

I was looking for fresh, reasonably-priced shrimp when I found the review for this market on Yelp. Based on the reviews, I called ahead and ordered two pounds of fresh shrimp and mussels. Not only did the woman who works there clean it for me, she packed it with ice because it is such a brutally-hot day and she thought I might have other stops to make on the way home. Not only is the market clean and the fish tremendously fresh, this place offers what so few lack-real caring customer service with an attention to detail. What a gem! My husband was raving about this fried fish he had near work. I came by the office and we decided to have some. Lisa is sweetest can be. Very polite and welcoming. We ordered the fried whiting fish and fries. Only takes15 minutes and was $8. All I have to say is excellent! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Very generous portion. I was amazed.
