Alder Home Craft were easy to work with and very accommodating in getting a timely estimate for our kitchen remodel after we had a water leak. Rihanna Blackburn from their main office was always congenial and helpful in getting questions resolved and coordinating with insurance. Brennan, and Daniel Bush were also very responsive and thorough in the estimation process. Although we ended up using a different company due to a highly specialized need, we would not hesitate to use Alder Homecraft in the future. read more

I would not recommend this contractor. At the initial estimate meeting the project mgr was 2 hrs late. That should have been a red light but we hired them anyway. Communication was lacking at every step of the project. We never really knew what the project timeline was and had contractors showing up at all hrs of the day. Calls and text messages for updates largely went unanswered - even through we got the Project Mgr's Mgr involved. The most upsetting thing that happened was that after we gave them our CC # for the initial deposit, they charged our CC for the mid-project payment as well as the final payment without our permission. After the 1st unauthorized chg midway through the project, I reached out to ask them to please not do that again. But they did anyway for the final payment. We didn't even have an opportunity to do a final walkthrough before the final payment was processed. As it turned out, the project wasn't completed as a piece of backsplash had been thrown away and had never been replaced. Calls to the Co to get this resolved went unanswered. Beware - find another contractor! read more

How did this company earn an A+ rating with the BBB? I would give them an F-. They deserve 0 stars, too. Not only for their failure to complete a job and failing to answer phone calls or respond to messages, but for creating a reason for making me write my first negative review. (Look at my other reviews.) I hope that Alder Home Craft finds a way to make things right. Most of the work appears to have been done right, but they failed to pay attention to detail. read more

Alder Home Craft - Poor workmanship. Lack of pride in their work. - General Contractors Near Me

If I could give Alder Home Craft negative stars, I would. What should have been a small, straightforward bathroom remodel turned into a 9+ month nightmare. Nine. Months. For a tiny shower and floor. The only thing consistent about this company is their incompetence. We went through three different project managers--Dan, Drew, and Damon--and every single one was useless. Calls ignored, texts unanswered, emails brushed off. When they did show up, it was only after countless aggressive follow-ups just to light a fire under them. Professionalism? Nonexistent. Communication? Laughable. Work ethic? They don't even know the meaning of the term. This company is a shining example of how NOT to run a business. If you enjoy endless delays, empty promises, and dealing with imbeciles who can't manage a simple remodel, by all means--hire Alder Home Craft. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away. I wouldn't recommend these clowns to my worst enemy. Save your sanity, your time, and your money. Alder Home Craft is the definition of a contractor horror story. read more

Hired in July, they completed work in late January on a kitchen remodel. I give them 2 stars for eventually completing the work. In the meantime, there were many missed deadlines and empty promises, and I had to involve myself full-time in project management to finish it. Their communication with the insurance company was minimal and not what was promised - as a homeowner, I had to argue the case with them. To summarize my experience working with Alder, I'd rather do the work myself (without any remodeling experience) while having my teeth extracted with pliers than hire them again. I'd do it faster and better. read more

Relly? Really!!! Near the end of November of 2025, my wife told me that the Alder's representative told her that he would have someone come to the house and finish the work, but since his bonus would be bigger if he had more jobs completed, he wanted more money for his holiday spending and asked her to sign a statement that the job was complete before it was done. -- He doesn't respond to calls or text messages. -- He hasn't sent anyone out to complete the work. Most of the finished work was not too bad, but refuses to respond to me and he lied to my wife. That's the bad part. I will never recommend Alder. read more

if you're considering this company for anything in your home, don't do it. not only is the work subpar, they will go after you for incomplete work. biggest mistake I made was letting them call me, promise me that they would do good work and believing them. They then proceeded threaten to put a lien on my home because I refused to sign off on their "completed work". these guys also are super shady with how they go about working with insurance. im sure any insurance company that sees their proposals laughs And knows to not take it seriously. read more

Worstcompany I have ever worked for. Not ever clear on payroll. I was told Net 15 and I haven't been paid in a long while. The project manager and general manager do not communicate. They talk about line items but have no price on them for you to see. They want to make the monthly quota and try to get the cheapest guy to do the job to make more money. This has been a long haul. I can't even pay for my Diabetes medication. You are told you can invoice partial for a job but then you are told you can't. read more

They don't pay their employees and steal from them. AVOID THIS COMPANY. They change bids and line items to screw homeowners out of more money and then pay their employees pennies on the dollar..,that's if they pay them at all. Their "project managers" lie, cheat and steal to make their bonuses by screwing their employees out of their pay checks and customers out of more money read more

Worse experience of our life!! They do a horrible job and do not finish what they started! They messed up the job and refused to come out and fix it, but keep asking for the small remaining balance that we owe them. For them to come out and fix the job would cost them more than what we owe them, so instead of coming out they keep harassing us for money, but they refuse to come out and fix the items they screwed up! Do not go to them! If I could upload pictures I would! read more

Absolutely one of the worst companies in the valley. Didn't even demo anything for 6 months while I had 3 different incompetent project managers who royally screwed my family and I. Ultimately we found out they fraudulently submitted work estimates and were about to be sued by our insurance if we continued. Please avoid them at all costs. Also they charged me 1,000 dollars because they said that's how much they charge for bogus insurance claims they submit. read more

Alder Homes took on a small project following water damage. Their sister company, EcoDry, had referred me to the company without disclosing the relationship. The restoration was essentially limited to replacing drywall and kitchen sink cabinet. Every stage of the project was prolonged; it took more than three months to complete. Literally every part of the project was done incorrectly, and every fix--even for obvious issues like being unable to close a cabinet drawer--led to push back and excuses. At one point I had become so frustrated by the delays I fixed the trim and repainted myself. This led to the manager calling and yell at me for "breaching" the contract. On that call, I described frustration because not only was the job dragging on, but the work being done was clearly of much lower quality and value then had been agreed to in the bid. The manager stated it did not need to be valued at the quoted price, it just needed to meet the minimum standards for code. He then stated he was frustrated with me because "it was not (my) money" but the insurers, so he couldn't understand why I would care how much they had billed. Throughout the process, they had attempted to coerce me into signing a "Certificate of Satisfaction and Completion." When I had refused, they had threatened to withhold the depreciation cost (about $200, which they did ultimately withhold) and report me to my insurer, suggesting they would revoke my homeowner's policy. I eventually had to turn to the AZ Registrar of Contractors to get some of the issues rectified. Again, they had issues with deadlines and correctly meeting directives, having to be redirected after failing to properly complete the work the first time and again attempting to pressure me into signing a "Certificate of Satisfaction and Completion." This process all took nearly a year to have my kitchen "restored" to a condition that is not as good as it was prior to working with the company, but apparently meets minimum standards. read more

Alder Home was the 3rd company within a collaboration of others to come to my home after plumbing water damage repair. The office representatives were very kind, as was the initial reconstruction assessment Rep Brennan. There was a little bit of a lapse of time between the job being tasked to being assigned to project manager Drew. Once Drew was assigned then the timeline was quickly set and all was done within a week. Drew was so very nice. He was professional in his approached and I appreciated that he included me in the plans and kept me in touch of all changes. Sub-contractor Luis did an excellent job in putting back my sink and building back up the walls. Ramon's carpet guys also did a great job. Thank you Alder for the great job completion as coordinated by Drew! read more

Do not use this company. They will trick you into signing their contracts. They are VERY RUDE and unprofessional. Please read all of their reviews. It's amazing that they are still in business. read more

This company is not professional. They send out rookies to do work that is horrible and then argue with you when you want it done correctly. They lied through the whole process and then blame you. I had a pretty simple fix. The sink in the kitchen leaked so 2 cabinets and some drywall needed to be replaced. It took 7 months before I had a usable kitchen again. No running water for 7 months in that simple project is extremely excessive. I had to get new counters since mine were so old they could not be matched up. I agreed to pay $2,500 for the installation. The guys that installed left my entire kitchen a mess. I had sawdust and quartz dust in every drawer and cabinet and the floor was filthy. They left silicone on the walls and on my tile back splash. I reported it immediately. I waited over 2 weeks to hear back from them about clean up and never did. I had to hire a housecleaner to come clean up their mess. That cost me $300 because $200 for the first time and $100 for the second clean up after their "handyman" came to vacuum the dirt and sawdust from under the new counters that was dropping down into my top drawers. He did not remove the drawers saying that his vacuum was powerful and nothing would fall into the drawers. Well, it did so once again I was stuck with the clean up. I had to get the Registry of Contractors and the Attorney General's Office involved to finally get my kitchen done. Before the work was completed Alder Home Craft put a lien on my property for the $2,500. I told them I only owed them $2,200 because I had to pay for the clean up which was their responsibility according to the contract they signed saying the property would be returned to the way it was before the damage happened. Well, my kitchen was not dirty with dusty dishes. They started threatening me. They even went so far as to say they would put a lien on and turn the amount over to a collection company. I guess they don't know that you can NOT collect 2 time for the same debt. Their parting shot was to say they will no longer pay the $200 courtesy cleaning fee. Not only did they get the amount wrong but it is not a courtesy to do the work that was in the contract. As I read through the complaints here on yelp I felt that I was repeating a long list of complaints. I only wish I would have had the foresight to read these before signing on with them. As it stands, they will wait years until I am dead to collect the money that I was more than willing to pay them if they removed the lien and collected the true amount. Save yourself a troublesome outcome and hire someone who knows what they are doing. read more

I have read comments disparaging this company but my experience was just the opposite. I had to have reconstruction accomplished due to a messy hot water tank failure and Kolton and company delivered repairs as promised. Their technicians showed up when scheduled and performed the work immediately. Workmanship was spot on and the finished product like new. All contacts during the repair process were professional and cordial. Insurance issues were dealt with quickly and correctly. I highly recommend Alder Home Craft for your repair needs. read more

This company was referred to us by Home Warranty. However, this company employs very deceptive tactics and unprofessional ethics. Be extremely careful if you decide to "try" and do business with them. They visited our home to assess damages and said we had to sign a service agreement prior to obtaining their price proposal or negotiating any specified Statement of Work for the items needing repair. They said: "Don't worry about it. Their is no obligation and we'll just work out the details later." They never got back to us about how that might work with the insurance company and to be reimbursed. Alder NEVER performed any contracted work, and now wants (a month later) to assess a fee for not selecting because their price was determined to be excessive by both us and the insurance company. read more

Please do not do business with this company!!!! This company is nothing but a headache, unprofessional and lies!!!! They come to your home and make promises they cant keep up with. I filed a claim with my insurance and was referred to this company for repairs and its been 7 weeks since project started and nothing has been dont besides a patch in my ceiling that had to wait 6 weeks for completion. PM some how "lost his phone or broke it and he never reached out to us the costumers!! We had to hunt them down in order to get any sort of communication from them. We have been constantly calling because they wont reach out to us at all. Do not work with this company !!! They seem to send 3rd parties to complete jobs because they don't have reliable workers for home repairs, PM Seems to all the sudden come to my home after 7 weeks to take carpet sample that should have been done weeks ago and he's never been professional enough or have the decency to actually contact us the way he promised. Like I said do not trust this company . This is what they have in the webpage .. "We promise to restore your home with the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship, ensuring a safe and beautiful living environment. From initial assessment to final repairs, we are with you every step of the way, making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you and help you restore your home and peace of mind." Nothing but lies and crap !!!! DO NOT HIRE THEM!!!! dishonest, alder home craft gilbert az. they also do business as RMJ Construction - another dishonest company total estimate of water damge = 13.2k. estimated $4,000.00 work that was not needed.estimated $2k that they simply did not do. Maybe they were hoping i wouldn't notice and pay them for work they didn't do. But i did notice. when i contested the bill, i was asked to pay only half of the work that was never done, because they need to make a profit. I repeatedly requested an invoice for the work they actually did. i never recieved that. i wont pay them. they say they will put a lien on the property. i hope they do. read more

I wanted to get a review of Alder Home Craft submitted. First of all, Ethan Chapman was very helpful in getting the quote and everything set up and going, which I appreciate. He did a great job. My number one hero during my total restoration of my place after a water heater burst is Manny Salazar. From start to finish, Manny helped me with everything. He took care of every detail, including items that were extra for me that I appreciated so much as I was already so stressed over the water damage that had occurred. He took my emails/phone calls and messages like a champ. He did not complain one time, but was so helpful every time I would contact him. He made the phase of the floor demo, floor install, and the dry wall install so much easier for me. He took care of it all. So, kudos to Manny Salazar. He is the greatest! Buyer be cautious when using this company. They file a pre lien judgement on you even when paid in full. A Very top heavy company with numerous people involved in your project, so you have to repeat the scope and responsibility of work to them several times. You are paying a lot $$$ for all the overheard / office personnel. read more

This company is by far the worst I have worked with. Missed deadlines and unprofessional demeanor. They routinely miss my texts and emails replying back after I have sent multiple texts or finally replying when I call them. It took them 6 months to finish a kitchen remodel. This is after planning has been completed. Once the remodel was completed there are clear footprints that is left on my counters that regular cleaning could not remove. I asked them multiple times to bring someone in to buff it out, but it's been a year and still nothing. Their project managers are a not knowledgeable at all of the type of builds they say they do all the time. For example, I asked how much it would take to make the counters smaller, and he said it might add $10,000 to the project. Probably trying to get money out of me. The whole company feels predatory towards homeowners who are vulnerable after dealing with terrible circumstances since they only do reconstructions. My insurance company refused to release extra money as they tried padding the total amount with unnecessary work. If you are being pushed for this company from another that had to do the cleanup of whatever accident you are dealing with go find another contractor who is honest. Never work with them they are the worst. read more

I recently suffered some water damage to my outside closet from the condo above's water heater leaking Alder Home Craft is the company I chose to do my repairs. I was very lucky to have Steven Ramos managing my account. It was not a smooth process to get my repairs initiated and Steven dealt with many obstacles in trying to get this fixed for me including a very rude neighbor who he initially was trying to negotiate with for payment for damages, and then my insurance company that was very slow to respond to my claim and pretty much non-responsive. He called the insurance company pretty much every other day and then emailed me as well to keep me updated. Finally he escalated it to the claim adjusters manager, after which I received confirmation of processing. Steven went above and beyond, I feel, in trying to move this process along as well as making me feel supported and informed throughout. I would highly recommend Alder Home Craft to anyone needing their services. Julie read more
