It honestly could've ended so much worse. Thankfully, they were available right away and able to tow us all the way to San Jose, which is where we were originally headed. Lorenzo helped us, and he was amazing--super friendly, communicative, and reassuring during a stressful time. On top of that, they gave us a really fair price. The only thing that dampened the experience a bit was the receptionist who answered the phone. She sounded like an older woman and came across as pretty rude. When I called back a second time because we had lost track of Lorenzo while following him, I asked where he was, and she responded with an attitude along the lines of, "What do you mean he's with you? He's supposed to be towing you guys," instead of trying to help calmly. I ended up just asking for his number. Aside from that interaction, everything else--especially Lorenzo's service--was excellent. He really turned a stressful situation into a smooth experience.

As soon as my car was wobbling with every rotation of the tires I was in a service station.... er 4 to be exact, by 3:30pm every where I stopped the mechanics had gone home for the day, the only open one didn't have anyone who knew how to balance a tire. I ended up at Walmart and 90 minutes later I still had the same problem. Now dark I was stuck in Salinas and was forced to get a hotel. I called triple a for mechanics and all of their recommendations were closed, far away from me or as one fella put it "I'm not going to work on your rear end on a weekend and no one else in town will either!" This began to panic me! What if I was stuck in Salinas till next Wednesday?! I got up Saturday morning and drove at random till I pulled over at the first open Auto repair in my path Alex's AUTO REPAIR to the rescue!!! I hesitantly asked if they were open and told them all about my problem. My truck was up on a lift right away. I was told I was missing a stud on a rear tire, which caused me to wear the tire unevenly and throw a weight. The repair would be only $45.00!!! I was ecstatic. 90 minutes later I was on my way to the local tire shop (Cueva's Tires) they recommended. Cheap fast and courteous on a Saturday morning!!! What a life saver. Keep in mind they are Latino owned so language may be a bit of a barrier, and you are paying for excellent repair and service, not a fancy waiting area. Although a bit depressed inside, and with bathrooms worthy of any rest spot out of a horror movie, I cannot complain one bit about the service and cannot say enough about how well and quickly I was treated. Spanish and English speaking, and inexpensive to boot. I definitely got my money's worth, and that is all I ever demand from a mechanic.

I can't say enough good things about Michelle, Hank, and the entire team at Cars LLC. From the beginning, they genuinely cared about helping us solve the problem instead of just trying to sell us unnecessary repairs. Their honesty, experience, and commitment to customer satisfaction really set them apart. Our check engine light kept coming on because of the mass airflow sensor. I had replaced it myself at least a dozen times using a sensor purchased from a local auto parts store, but the problem always came back. Michelle's years of experience led her to suggest that the issue might be that the replacement sensor wasn't an OEM part. We took her advice, installed an OEM sensor, and the problem has been completely resolved ever since. Sometimes it's not about replacing more parts, it's about having the knowledge and experience to diagnose the problem correctly. Thank you, Michelle, Hank, and everyone at Cars LLC for going above and beyond. You've earned our trust and our business, and I highly recommend your shop to anyone looking for honest, knowledgeable mechanics who truly care about their customers.

I met with the seller of my vehicle at Aaliyah's Auto Shop for a pre-inspection. During the…read moreinspection, the owner, Jesse, informed me that my vehicle had a "very small" water pump leak and that the coolant level was low. He stated that he topped off the coolant with fluid and showed my husband a picture; however, the picture he showed was only of the coolant, not of an actual water pump leak. At no point was I shown a picture or physical evidence of a leak itself. Due to the stress of the transaction and being surprised by this diagnosis--especially since I regularly maintain my vehicle every three months--I did not ask to personally see the alleged leak at that time. Jesse also stated that the vehicle needed new brake pads because they were due for replacement. A few days later, I contacted Jesse to request a photo of the water pump leak. He then informed me that he did not have any photo of a leak--only a photo of the coolant. He went on to say that the car was otherwise "perfect," drove great, and that the only issues were the need for new breaks and a new water pump. Because of these inconsistent statements, I took it upon myself to have the vehicle inspected at a Honda dealership while also completing an oil change. The certified Honda mechanics did not find any water pump or coolant leaks (please see attached video). Additionally, they confirmed that the brakes were at approximately 50% life remaining and did not require immediate replacement. Based on these findings, I am deeply concerned about the accuracy and integrity of the inspection performed at Aaliyah's Auto Shop. It appeared that unnecessary repairs were recommended without sufficient evidence. Jesse also emphasized that his shop was the cheapest in town and that he offers the best prices, which further raised concerns that the diagnosis may have been influenced by sales motives rather than factual mechanical issues. I believe this experience demonstrates a lack of transparency and reliability. I strongly encourage anyone seeking a pre-purchase inspection to consider using a trustworthy and reputable mechanic or dealership service center to avoid receiving misleading or inaccurate information.
