Affordable! Awesome! Attentive!…read more For the past four years since I bought my home I've had two pool cleaning services. The first one (unnamed) started off pretty good but then they started flaking and doing a poor job. And the odd thing is that as they'd flake more my costs would go up and my pool got dirtier. Seemed they thought "we are cleaning a dirty pool" even though it was dirty from their negligence. I'm not from LA so I don't like or tolerate flaky people. And dishonest?! Forget it! Then I ran into Splash Brothers! These guys have made my pool sparkle! They take care of the filters and pump and even make special visits to clean it before a party. They give my pool the attention it needs because it isn't just for looks, me and my kids swim in it. I can't recommend these guys high enough.

I would give zero stars if I could. I have had American Pool Pro for years, when a guy named Micah…read morewas running it back in 2017. He did an excellent job running this business. Fast forward to Graham taking over a couple years ago. Pool service went down hill. Had a pool guy named William who at least kept the pool clean. He left and I had multiple turnovers of people. Seems every couple weeks a new guy. Pool does not seem clean. Weeks go by and tiles are not even brushed. I'm home and watch the pool guy. Always had my pool cleaned every Thursday for YEARS. Now, Graham says it can't be done and they have to come on Mondays. He is rude and somewhat aggressive on the phone, if he even bothers to call you back. After a week he might respond. Anyways, the last day I had service the pool guy told me that the more expensive jobs in Toluca Lake were being done on Thursday. Guess the BIG pools in Toluca Lake paid more than my measly $125 a month. Maybe he wanted me to quit, thus he moved me to Monday. ZERO loyalty to long long term customers. I sent Graham a message terminating service and he didn't even bother to respond. I have his emails where he would repond a week later if at all. I'm sure he might bash my review and deny any of this with his rhetoric. I could care less. This is exactly how I saw it and what transpired. Pool companies are a dime a dozen. At first, Graham talks a good game. Read the negative reviews for this company. I'm extremely happy with the new pool service I found. A few friends referred me. Got my Thursdays back for 10 bucks more. Win win. OH, and when the new service came, the first day, he opened up my filters and they were filthy, black and was broken in spots, and had multiple patch work done. I saw them and took pictures of them. This old company was supposed to clean and maintain my filters, which I paid extra for. Guess that wasn't done properly. No wonder pool looked so crappy and green the last few months. I had to purchase 4 new filter panels. Pool is beautiful now. Same guy comes and is great. Beware and stay clear of this company.

Hired this company August of 2023…read more At first, they were servicing my pool weekly as promised but as months go by, the pool would always have residue (looks like black dirt) at the bottom of the pool. I didn't say anything for months because i thought it might've been the sprinklers in my yard spraying the pool (not the case at all). They were just not cleaning it well. In the winter, i tried using the heater for my spa but it didn't work. I reached out to Isaiah to see if he would be able to resolve this. He still did not resolve this, but instead switched out the timer and said i need to pay more for the controller. He suggested that since it's now summer, i should switch out the new filter and pump instead because it's not working well for my pool. My pump and filter was working fine until he didn't service my pool for weeks when trying to fix the spa heater. My pool turned dark green with so much algae. It just needed effort to clean and shock the pool to get back to normal, but he used this opportunity to get me to change the pump and filter because it "wasnt filtering" my pool properly. After spending thousands on all the things he suggested i change out (spa heater still not fixed), i paid him for month of May to service my pool. he took the money and only came to service the pool ONCE. Also have to mention that i paid him thousands to switch out the pump and filter so i had expected him to clean up after his mess, but he did not. He took out all the stuff, replaced them, then left it my back yard so i have to figure out what to do with the large old filter and the pump. Very unreliable and stressful dealing with my pool since i hired this company. I have hired a new pool company and my pool is now pristine. I don't have to go home every week wondering if the pool has been cleaned.

When they show up and fix your ancient pool heater for free, that's gotta be 5 stars right?…read more My maybe 30-y.o. Raypak Versa was not igniting and I'd taken off all the pieces I knew to take off to clean things out, to no avail. My pool guy looked too, but there's some welded-on sheet metal that was keeping us from really getting in there. So he recommended Pat. Pat and Chris showed up and looked around, popped off another piece of metal that I hadn't been brave enough to pull apart, and saw the problem instantly. An ill-fitting connector for the igniter that some other guys had recently installed and that had come loose. They rigged it to make a nice and tight connection to keep it from loosening up again and had me on my way. Best of all, when I was going to grab my checkbook, they waved me off because it was such an easy job for them, they were in the neighborhood already...yada yada--I've never heard so many excuses to avoid getting paid!
