We came to get a spare key made for a new company vehicle that didn't come with one. Nice new store location. It's a quick process thankfully, and much cheaper than the dealership. They have some a lot of products for keys too such as key hiders, some of which are pretty funny and/or clever! read more

Outstanding professionalism and business etiquette. Our kwikset keys were not working due to the tumblers getting stuck. My wife called Alcatraz Locksmith that evening and they were able to come out the following morning. Giovanni came to our house, fixed the problem, explained to me what the issues were, and told me how to maintain the lock in the future. He was a complete professional, friendly, intelligent in his trade, and was first to put a hand out for a handshake. You can't get better than that. Thank Giovanni! Highly recommend. read more

I have just moved to Chula Vista and the previous owners of my new home didn't leave behind the key to the storage room that houses the water heater. My water heater is broken and the plumbers need access to the room so Giovanni at Alcatraz Locksmith came by and in a few minutes was able to unlock the doorknob and then replaced it with the old front door knob that I replaced the day I moved in (I sure am glad I kept it!). Giovanni is a 3rd generation locksmith and it shows bc his work was quick, he was very polite & respectful, and did the job with a smile! I hope I'm never locked out again but if I am, Alcatraz Locksmith will be the first place I'll call. read more

Ricardo Alcatraz did an AMAZING and thorough job fixing and installing Baldwin entry door hardware from an incomplete job!! He drilled the lock spaces perfectly! Giovanni called me right away after I made an inquiry the day prior and came by to take photos and assess what was needed to complete the job. It was EFFORTLESS and the best customer service we've received in a while! I was so happy with our entry door locks, I requested Ricardo switch out our garage entry door lock with an existing lock I had as a temporary from the entry doors! I will definitely be using Alcatraz Locksmiths again in the future! Thank you Giovanni and Ricardo! Compared to other prices, this was the best value for us. read more

Just to give a little backstory, there was a company that came out prior to Alcatraz Locksmith coming to my house who was not successful with unlocking my room door. The technician had asked for $150 for me to pay out-of-pocket if he can drill a hole through the door I said no of course. Giovanni not only was he very professional, but had my door unlocked within two seconds and also offered to tighten up the loose screws on the door knob. Thank you for your help! read more

Absolutely the best, excellent work, fast and affordable. Great customer service and excellent servic. Highly recommend it.

I needed to have a new entry door lock set rekeyed to match our existing key so I took it in to their shop. Ruth quoted me a very reasonable price for the service, and since it was almost closing time (I arrived there late), she told me that I could pick it up the next morning. I was happy with that and headed to my car where my doggie was waiting for me. When I got to the car I decided to take my doggie for a walk around the parking lot and to the adjacent green areas. When we got back to the car I saw Ruth waiting for us at the front of the shop; she told me that she saw I had taken my dog for a walk, and was able to finish the rekey while we walked!! Thank you Ruth . Rocky (my doggie) and I will be back to Alcatraz Locksmith for all our future locksmith needs! read more

Giovonni was our Superman!! We accidentally got locked out of our stay while visiting SD and it was very late at night. We were worried on how to approach the situation and we thought our best bet was to call a locksmith. He was super attentive, fast responding, and had such a good aura around him. We were able to get back in without the hassle of worrying if we needed to stay somewhere else for the night. May all the street lights you approach turn green, your phone never run out of battery, and the USB port goes in right the first time. You deserve all the good luck in the world. Thank you so so much!! Great value overall. read more

We needed a replacement part for our Schlage lock that they would not provide to us, so we decided to see if Alcatraz could help us, as they previously helped rekey our locks. Ruth at Alcatraz went above and beyond to talk to Schlage on our behalf and was able to get the replacement part sent to Alcatraz for us at no cost. We really appreciate the work Ruth did, as it saved us for having to get a completely new lock set for our front door. Couldn't be happier with the service we received. read more

Finding service is sometime hard and frankly super expensive. Having to wait long hours to get someone to do something that's going to take less than an hour can be frustrating. But that was not the case with Alcatraz Locksmith. Got an over the phone consultation and had someone in less than 20 mins to help us with our office door. Not only were they responsive but Giovonni also helped us reset our smart lock to avoid getting locked out in the future. Giovonni was an absolute professional and made it seem as if he wasn't even there when he was done. If you are looking for fast and reliable service Alcatraz is the company for you. read more

Quick, fast and efficient. Definitely will call this place again. They are 24 hrs and customer service was great!

We needed a house key made on Veterans day. We called Alcatraz to see if they were open. Ricardo took our call, indicated they were closed, but said he would be there for another 30 minutes and he would help us out. We rushed over and Ricardo was there waiting for us. Two keys made in less than 10 minutes and we were on our way home. My mother in-law paid in cash, thinking she paid in one's. Ricardo came out and stopped us, we rolled down the window and we had accidentally given him a $100 bill!!!!!! Ricardo could of kept it and we probably would've never known! Ricardo's customer service and honesty was above and beyond! Thank you Ricardo! We will definitely be back!!!!!!!! read more
