I got at least three quotes before moving from one house in Albuquerque to another within the city and no one even came close to the affordable price (not to mention the high level of service from the very first phone call with Tina through movers unloading everything cared then driving off). I was very impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and efficiency on the day of our move -- they were absolutely ready for everything and easy to communicate with. read more

Albuquerque Discount Movers was able to schedule me a bit last minute which was amazing and so helpful! Getting a hold of them was easy, and Tina was a breeze to communicate with. Before the move, they came to the house to review the job and ensure that I would have enough trucks and movers for the job, which I really appreciated. The day of the move, they were friendly, professional, and careful with anything fragile or breakable. I would use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone needing moving services. read more

These guys did great job loading 99% of stuffs to U-pack truck. They are on time and when clock started they went to work right away. Their service fee was very reasonable and without them it would have taken me 20 hour not 2 hours to load all my stuffs. Yelp's high rating is truly correct this time. read more

This morning I spoke with Tina who LMK the company is not taking jobs atm due a family emergency. I understand that completely. However Tina was very helpful and referred me to another company that she highly recommended. She sent me the necessary info promptly - which I really appreciated. We need more people like Tina in this world. Jodie B. read more

I found this company on Yelp and couldn't be happier! I messaged multiple companies and this group had very prompt replies and were able to provide a quick and accurate quote. I moved in-town and opted for the extra helper to try and accomplish my move in under four hours. The movers were courteous and professional and very careful with my items. We are happy to report ZERO damage to our belongings. I had a three bedroom apartment and packed it myself (they packed TVs and lamps for me) and it cost me about $600 total. We had some difficulties with our closing but Tina and the other team members were very accommodating, understanding, and helpful during this stressful time. I highly recommend this company for your next in town move! read more

I did Contact the Management as requested. Tina sent me a false presentation of what she said was our contract. I never received the email she is claiming was sent. I am now disputing the charge with my Credit Company as Albuquerque Discount Movers continues to make False Claims and hide behind False Quotes. read more

I waited to write this review until after we took a look at the contents of our POD after moving. We received recommendations from our friends who used ABQ Discount Movers to move into their new house within Albuquerque. We are so glad that we went with these guys. We needed an 8x16x8 POD loaded to move back to Texas. Joe and his team (3 men total) showed up and Tetris'ed the crap out of our POD from top to bottom and front to back. They did wear masks which I felt comfortable offering them the option to remove since everyone was vaccinated. They arrived at our storage unit across town, unloaded it into their truck, drove to the apartment, and then packed everything into the POD. They were professional and careful with handling everything. I was really nervous about our fragile items, but everything made it in one piece including our glass table top, glass desks, and expensive furniture pieces without a single scuff or scratch. Not a single thing shifted when we opened it up. I am very pleased and thankful for their hard work! read more

Tina who does the scheduling was very friendly and flexible as our moving date frequently changed. The movers were quick, thorough and made sure I was happy with all the furniture placement in the new house. Would highly recommend! read more

Reliable, careful, accommodating, excellent communication. Fast and quality moving. Would highly recommend.

This company came to my rescue after another moving company cancelled on me twice. I then realized I made a huge mistake --I should have just booked Albuquerque Discount Movers the first time around!!! Tina was very approachable and comprehensive in her responses. She could probably sense the bit of panic in my voice, but I certainly could rely on her to call me and update me when needed. Next time I'm moving --I'm definitely gonna move with Albuquerque Discount Movers. You're making a huge mistake if you don't. read more

I had a review up here and now I don't see it(?!) THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST. Moving (especially cross country) is exhausting. Everyone, from Tina on the phones to the movers are great. Prompt, very careful with my furniture they made an unpleasant experience way less painful. Highly recommend these movers. read more

I paid for a three man crew because I wanted the job done fast. It would have been helpful had they brought enough dollys. They were supposed to bring three, but only had two. Who do you suppose had to pay for the extra time it took to load? I did a walk through on the old house and discovered boxes not loaded on the truck. I stopped them from taking off to the new house so they could finish up properly packing the old house. Even with that, I checked the garage later and they left two folding tables in there and a plant stand on the patio. They also left behind a vacuum and a large kitchen trash can, an ironing board and two step ladders. They rounded up the end time so I lost about 15 minutes...which I paid for. I was so exhausted due to my schedule recently, I didn't really do a walk through before they left the new house. After they left, I found my luggage was left in the backyard. Juuuuust sitting there. Not in the shed, which was literally three steps away. One of the rooms is inaccessible now because boxes were not put to the back of the room. I open the door to the room and I can look over the boxes into the room I want to access. Not super helpful. Some things weren't set up properly. For example, a patio set. I had brought the patio table to the new house on a previous day with a truck and put it where I wanted it. The movers brought the matching chairs and left them, stacked, on the other side of the patio. Really? They weren't even I unstacked. When I did get a good look around, I felt really stupid tipping so well. Double check their work! read more

Efficient clearly explained service, and they work very hard to keep the quality of service high even under pandemic issues. They've yet to do me wrong. read more

Super reasonable as far as pricing. Also had pretty good availability. They moved our items timely. There were a couple mishaps - we had a King bed that they attempted to take down the stairs without disassembling which led to some scratches on the wall. There was also a bookcase that was damaged. BUT - they were amazing once I let them know about the issues. They managed to fix the bookcase so it looks brand new. She also had some other workers come out and look at and fix the other minor issues. So overall it was great customer service and we would use them again. read more

My review is a little over due but these guys rock. We got several quotes for our move and these were the most transparent and reasonable by far. We thought we'd go back to the movers we used the last time but their price was INSANE this go around (nearly double of ABQ Discount) and they were not nearly as responsive as Tina and the crew here. These guys (and gal) made everything super easy on us. These guys were hard working, fast, professional, and responsive. No damage to anything! We went a little over our time allotment but not much. Great guys. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them or using them again when we need to. read more

Very happy customer! We hired Discount Movers to move a 2000+ sq ft packed with stuff, including the garage into another single story. The movers were efficient, care, and conscious of our belongings. They took great care to not break or damage anything. The thing that took me over the top in happiness is when they were putting my media center down, I noticed that they took the extra thought to center it in between two lights. Details like this is what makes this company stand out. They were punctual and fair on price-- to the point we tipped them plenty because we were so happy! Take the stress off moving and hiring this company. read more

I was incredibly impressed with these folks. I had a complication with my moving container delivery and Tina assured me that she'd get me moved on time even if it wasn't how they did things usually. And she did! Tina went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of. And the crew! Fast, efficient, thorough, polite- the gentleman who was packing the container was a damn Tetris master. They checked in with me to make sure they took exactly what I wanted in the container and nothing that didn't belong in there. They were in & out of my 3/1.5 in 2.5 hours and dude, that container is packed *solid*. Nothing is moving. 6/5 these folks are amazing. This is who you want moving your stuff. read more

Nothing better than a local owned business that is efficient, professional, and makes the stress of a move easier. Arnold and his crew safely and quickly loaded a Penske 16' truck for me in 2.5 hrs. All for little over $250! Worth every penny. Tip: buy some nylon rope. They prefer it to strap your furniture tightly to your truck. read more

What can I say, these guys were professional, on time, courteous, and made our move so easy. I would highly recommend them. Thanks also to Tina, who set things up and called us to verify. read more

This was the worst experience I've had with movers and twice as much as quoted. Your movers spent over an hour on the truck just moving stuff around to rack up the clock. They were full of excuses for what they couldn't do -- like move the couch out of the door -- and stood around for another 10 mins just arguing about not being able to do it rather than figuring it out. They didn't listen to the order the items should be packed in, as there were two drops, and asked me 10 times. Then didn't listen, put it items in the truck wrong and spent even more time rearranging in the truck racking up hours. Then when I complained, they took to calling me a bitch in Spanish like I wouldn't know what they were saying. Horrible. read more

This is my second time using this company for a move and I can't say enough good things about them! They work really fast and efficiently since you are being charged by the hour, you feel like you are getting your money's worth. They are extremely reasonable and even put together our beds! They are movers you can trust, I would highly recommend and I will be back to use them for any future moves I might have. read more

All around, I had an excellent experience with Albuquerque Discount Movers. Tina coordinated the move and was thorough which gave me a lot of confidence in their service. They have a two hour minimum which was plenty of time for their team to move about ten large items out of my apartment. I don't know that they require a deposit on all their jobs, but their work flexibility was incredibly favorable for my schedule. Their pricing was fair and they completed the job with ease. read more

I won't be using this company so I can't comment on their actual moving skills. I used their website to request a quote by phone last night but have not heard from them today. So I called this afternoon (took two tries to reach them). $85 an hour, minimum two-hour charge, PLUS one hour charge for travel around town. I'm moving across town, about a 30-minute drive, so it'll be significantly cheaper to just pay my friends with pizza. :) I don't know how these rates compare to other local companies, but I don't like minimum charges and travel charges that don't necessarily reflect the actual work done and distance travelled. read more

Movers were very efficient. We had a 2 hour window and they got everything we needed moved. They hustled the entire time. No furniture was damaged. They wrapped all furniture in packing blankets and took great care of our stuff. Would definitely use again! read more

Wow! All these people with fantastic reviews, I wish I could say the same thing. First, I have never had good luck with any mover and second, and never has the estimate been even close. When I called to describe the contents of my move and my location I was surprised to find that Corrales was considered "out of town" so it would be an additional charge of $80. I now find this odd as I was also charged a additional charge of $18 for gas as well. I was told it would be around noon when the movers would arrive so I took the day off from work. After many phone calls and various updated arrival times they finally showed up around 7:00 pm! So much for missing a day at work! They finished up around 11:00 and I was presented a bill for $450. Like I said I have never had a good experience with any moving company, so I am surprised about all the glowing reviews here. read more

These guys did a great job with our move! We have a LOT of stuff and they did everything quickly, efficiently and carefully. They provide their own truck and are masters of Tetris because they packed that sucker up. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others. I think the price is great (even though there are a couple cheaper places in town- however they also had poor reviews). Tina was great on the phone and Arnold and Cisco were my movers. Excellent job! read more

Fantastic experience! This company was highly recommended by a friend and I quickly found out why. They were prompt, courteous, professional and efficient. Best of all, they finished in half the time I was quoted and charged me half the price I was quoted. With all of the horror stories you hear about moving companies, Albuquerque Discount Movers is a rare gem! read more

I used ABQ Discount Movers to move my stuff from my POD to my home. They were awesome. Joseph was the lead, they showed up on time, were courteous, fast and professional. I had considered just having the POD delivered and unloading it myself but the POD would have to sit in my driveway for over a week due to POD scheduling issues and I would have to do all the moving. Having these guys unload the POD at the storage facility, load their truck, move it to my place and unload it took exactly 2 hours and cost me only $90 more than having the POD people drop it off for me to do alone!! Smart Move. I was quite surprised that anything with 'Discount' in the name could be this good. I would highly recommend this team of professionals. read more

ABQ Discount Movers moved us in August 2021. It was a local move, and Tina in their office kept in touch with us from the day we scheduled it to the day they arrived. The movers did an excellent job, by being on time, moving our stuff quickly, and with great care. It was a very fair price. Super nice people too! We highly recommend them! read more

They returned my call first and did everything else right too! I hired them to move my 3BR belonging across town on fairly short notice. They confirmed the day before, the morning of, and when they were on their way. The three guys (Joe, David, and CJ) rocked. They never stood still, were careful, listened to what stayed and what went, and couldn't have been nicer. They even helped set up a bed that had already been delivered to the new place. Everything was wrapped, nothing got damaged, not a broken glass - they made light work of what took me weeks to pack. I'd recommend them without hesitation. read more

These guys were fast. The more experienced one successfully directed the newer one, who was amazingly strong. No complaints, except for the two hour minimum. That's standard practice though, so really no complaints. Customer service is good and responsive too. read more

I used ABQ discount movers to move my furniture and personal belongings across town (home-home-storage unit). They arrived on time, in masks. They had a team of 3 to help expedite the process. The guys were extremely friendly, professional and VERY FAST. I was shocked at how quickly they were able to dissemble everything and get it into the truck. Then, they were able to help me take items to my second destination, and ALSO taking some extra things to a storage unit. I was extremely impressed. Tina, who helped me plan and organize the entire process was extremely nice, very understanding when I had to add a 3rd location suddenly, and very professional. I will recommend them to anyone who asks, and will definitely be using them again when i have a move. Thank you! read more

Wonderful service!!!! I hired 3 men for 3 hours and they moved my entire house with ease. They were very mindful of my furniture and professional. I have nothing but great things to say about them. When they arrived at my house we all stood together and came up with a "game plan" a few minutes later the magic began. They worked like a well oiled machine, everyone had a purpose and it flowed so easily. The biggest tip I got from them before they arrived was, make sure you are packed and ready for the movers. This advice was taken to heart, since I was packed and ready the whole process went by very smoothly. Thanks for your time and heard work!!!! read more

Outstanding service. Completely professional. Fair pricing. Showed up early and ready to get on with it. Extreme care taken with wrapping and loading all items on the truck, including an upright piano. Equal care in unloading and fitting all of the stuff from a 1400 sf house into the 10x30 storage locker we had rented. Will use them again when the time comes. read more

Fact is we've moved 3 times in 2 years from a 2 story home to smaller apartment and ADM moved us each time because there is no question they are as good as one could ever hope to hire for moving a household. They are professional, thoughtful and extremely courteous. They even fixed a grandfather clock whose weights were removed incorrectly but they returned specifically to ensure the clock worked perfectly. We have tons of books which they packed for us due to physical disabilities. Cannot say enough positive about this wonderful team with Tina at the helm...terrific ...the BEST in ALBQ. read more

ABQ Discount Movers did an awesome job! They showed up on time and did such a fast job. Not only did they move our things all without any damage, they also fixed our old 15 year old couch set (now we can get a few more years out of them!) They were friendly and moved our stuff very quickly. We were overall very pleased with this experience and would use them again if moving within Albuquerque. read more

Great experience overall from the receptionist to the movers; helpful, efficient, timely and everything got here in one piece of course.

Just had a wonderful experience with Albuquerque Discount Movers. They moved my daughter this past Friday. CJ, Joe and Dave arrived on time. They were professional, hard working and courteous! These guys knew what they were doing! Tina kept in contact with me before our actual moving day, answered all my questions and was there whenever I had a question. What a Great Team!!I Highly recommend them to anyone moving in Albuquerque! read more

I had another moving company fail to honor their contract and ADM literally saved the day, and also saved me $2000 in moving fees. Tina was so accommodating and her team worked super hard to fit me into their busy schedule. Admittedly I had a pretty small/ easy move, but I needed professional movers for some items. ADM. we're professional, courteous, and fast. No dings and they broke down/ set up all my furniture. Thank you!! read more
