We needed help unloading a POD storage unit from our drive way into the house after our cross-country move. These guys helped me with short notice after another Albuquerque company we booked bailed on us. Overall, we highly recommend! There were easy to text (which I appreciate, because I hate talking on the phone) and set up arrival and details. They texted an hour before they arrived, were ready to work, worked quickly and safely and were communicative (asked questions, checked in on location of items, etc). They were friendly and you can tell they really wanted to do a great job. They actually finished a job that we had planned for 3 hours in slightly under 2 hours. That's incredible! What a bunch of jokers. Took forever to get a call back. Was told, call next week to confirm which I did. The day Junk Brothers was schedule to come, they ghosted me. Didn't respond to phone messages or text, NOTHING. I had arranged for other trades people to be on site and help them. Somehow they all were able to show up. Ending up having to pay them, for NOTHING as the work required Junk Brothers. Do not use this company. read more

I needed some help moving from downtown Albuquerque to the Heights. I requested a quote on Yelp, and Junk Brothers replied to me within minutes. They answered all my questions and accommodated my preferred moving date. On moving day, they arrived ready to work. There was no parking in front of either of my residencies which made the process a bit longer. Despite the commute between the moving truck and apartments, everything went extremely well with nothing damaged. It took about four hours to move everything from point A to point B. We were needing yard clean-up and I had been seeing their box truck around town and thought instead of using a well known company, I'd use a small local company. Boy was I wrong. I called them and couldn't leave a message, because their mailbox was full. Strike One. Then I thought I'd use their on-line contact and text them pictures of the yard. I received a text stating to text another number. Not a problem...did that. Several days went by and no reply. I text them again. Several more days went by with no replay. Strike Two. Then I thought I'd email them the pictures...done. Received an email stating that someone would call me soon. That was 2 weeks ago. Still waiting. Strike Three. So I was looking on Craigslist because the wife wanted part of the back yard cleaned up. I came across the ad for the Junk Brothers. I went to their website and read all I could. I decided to reply to the ad. The ad said text your request and photos to Jesse at this number 505-5954404. I did that. Within one minute I got a reply and it said call this number 505-917-8928 and they can help. I called the number and told them what I was looking for. The guy who answered asked if I would send him the photos in a text so he could take a look and get me a free estimate. at 1:50 I sent the requested information. I never heard back so at 3:10 I text again (over an hour) and asked did you get the photos? They replied YES, Sorry I am bust working at the moment I will look at them here in a while. That was Saturday 18 APR. I never heard back at all Saturday. I figured ok he is very busy so he will get back to me when he has time. I waited all day Sunday and still never heard back from him. So now my wife is asking what did I find out. Well its Monday 20 APR and still no response. I figured ok they were so busy they forgot so at 9:00 am today from work I followed up with another text. I asked if they were interested in the job if not please let us know and we will move on to another company. its now 5:00 pm and no one at Junk Brothers has the common courtesy to even respond to a customer. I would not recommend this firm for any work even hauling away anything, which is to be their speciality. If they do not have enough courtesy to even get back to a customer can you imagine trying to schedule a job. JUNK BROS you really need to work on your customer service. Even if you think a job is to small do not ignore customers do the right thing and get back to them and tell them you don't want the job so you do not leave people hanging on waiting for you to get back to them. Business 101 never treat one customer bad. Word of mouth is the worst way to hurt your business. That is what may happen for this one instance. read more

I needed the compost dumped in one spot as I am sharing it with my neighbor and the mulch in a different spot closer to my garden. He picked up the materials in a timely manner, dumped them in the 2 designated areas and even put a tarp under each pile and the two materials did not get mixed together at all even though they were in the same trailer. I was impressed that with such a big trailer he was able to dump the mulch within feet of the gate I will be using to bring it into the garden. Paul has also done elm removal for me and other yard work and always does a thorough job and does not leave a mess behind or wreck anything like bricks or pavers or other yard decor in the process of removing the elms and carries away all of the debris. Mouse poop, pee, two dead mice, and ruined items galore. I have never seen so much mouse poop/pee all over things in my entire life. We were afraid to touch things in order to move them out because we did not want to contract hantavirus or some other disgusting thing that is spread through rodents. We had to throw away an Ashley Furniture Modular Reclining Sofa, an accent chair, book shelves that were soaked through with so much mouse poop and pee that the wood expanded and turned black, our 9 ft pre-lit tree etc. etc. etc. The tree box was so full of mouse poop that it was obvious a family of them had taken residence just inside that box. So many items that meant a lot to me were ruined by this mouse infestation. To make matters even worse, as we were leaving the storage facility, we were able to catch a mouse on video as it scurried back into the building through a hole in the side. I reached out to the local office and no one would even call me back. I then reached out to corporate office who referred me to some local defuse/defend/deny woman named Stephanie who was so incredibly rude and could not have cared any less about what my family experienced. I was told that if I had paid for their insurance coverage all of my items would have been covered by their buildings' mouse infestation, but since I didn't pay for that option, I was shit out of luck. DO NOT RENT FROM EXTRA SPACE STORAGE UNLESS YOU WANT ALL OF YOUR BELONGINGS TO BECOME INHABITED BY LARGE MOUSE INFESTATIONS. These people are heartless and unkind, and not only do they take all your money, they don't care if the things you worked hard for are ruined by their lack of pest control. I was told by the local transmission shop that my vehicle needed the transmission replaced. The…read moretransmission shop quoted me somewhere between $1,800 and $2,500 just for the replacement, not including labor! I could not afford that so I needed to locate a good, used transmission that was also affordable. Southwest Auto Recyclers were able to provide me one at GREAT value for only $650. Their mechanic, Mark, even checked out my car first to give me a second opinion and make sure that I even needed it replaced. The manager, Joe, was super professional and very helpful. He made sure to run my VIN number against the replacement to make sure that it would fit for my specific vehicle. He was very transparent about everything and gave me the full run-down on where the donor vehicle came from and why it was brought to the shop in the first place. He also informed me of all the different tests they had run on the vehicle and about the condition of the transmission and other parts. While the mechanic, Mark, will begin the transmission replacement tomorrow, and I haven't yet received the finished service, I am quite confident that I am in good hands. Joe offers a 90-day warranty on all parts, and that made me feel that he really stands behind his products. I look forward to the finished product and I would DEFINITELY recommend this salvage/recycling yard to anyone looking for affordable, yet quality parts, and excellent customer service.

I am beyond relieved after choosing Junk Brothers and Moving to move me into my new place. The last time I needed a mover, I found an ad on Craigslist that appeared professional and assumed even if they weren't, the job would still get done. However, the day of the move only one guy showed up because his "cousin" wasn't answering his phone that morning. Just he and I moved my entire house that day, and it was miserable to say the least. So, I was apprehensive finding someone on Craigslist again, but I was in a time crunch and really needed help. Thank goodness! Everything about this experience was professional and on point. I knew that the public concerns regarding the Corona Virus and social distancing might make this move even more difficult than usual. However, they were able to meet my needs on extremely short notice, even working on a Sunday afternoon to get the job done. This company is truly amazing, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. Chris was very flexible and willing to work with me on my move, my day got delayed extremely due to my landlord taking an extra day to obtain keys to my new place. I had to play phone tag all day but Chris was patient and kind the whole time. Even allowing me to push back my moving day a whole 24 hours. Chris and Jason showed up to my apartment at the exact time they said they'd be and were ready to get to work. Both of them cleaned out my 2 bedroom in no time, despite it being an upstairs unit and moving to another upstairs units. They both had me fully moved within 3 hours. They even went as far to put my drawers back into the dressers. Super sweet guys and great service all around. Junk Brothers & Moving helped us move from one apartment to another. The guys from Junk Brothers were extremely helpful moving all of our furniture and heavy boxes and committed to getting all of our belongings into our new apartment. The best example of this commitment was their persistence to get our couch into our apartment when it would not fit through the front door. Instead of giving up, the guys helped us haul the couch up and over the 2nd-floor balcony and into our living room. I met the brothers on a frontage road and spotted something in their heap trailer that I could use in my art/design work! The two gentleman that came and helped us move into the apartment were amazing! They showed up just a bit for the predicted time and began working promptly and greatly, handled everything with care and were kind and courteous throughout.
