We are regulars to this Albertsons. Stacey, your cashier is amazing. I have seen many difficult customers leave happy after interacting with her. I have seen this more than once. When we go in she always remembers and greets my boyfriend and I and makes us feel very welcomed and comfortable. All of the staff is amazing and have shown us nothing but kindness throughout the years. Stacey and the other employees at this Albertsons make sure that we always have found what we were looking for and they are always so kind and patient with every guest I've seen. I never leave reviews for grocery stores because i've never had an issue. I decided to come get some things here today during my lunch hour. I was helped or should I say felt humiliated and embarrassed by the older lady who was ringing me up. I didn't catch her name but she has like a purplish-gray hair. I told her I needed medicine but pharmacy had sent me to the front to her to get it so I told her. She asked what was the product I kid you not I repeatedly told her 4 times each time getting louder because she can't hear me I already talk loud as it is so it's embarrassing literally telling her what the medication was and she says well is it in the case in front of you, lady isn't this your job? i'm asking you and telling you what I need and I know you guys have it because I seen it but it was locked up and I can't get it myself but she was too lazy to walk over to get it for me. She then told me she didn't know what I was talking about so I had to tell her and she repeated back to me in a condescending voice on what she thinks i said. Everything was fine until checkout. Went to self-checkout and wound up changing my mind on an item, huge mistake. The older white woman who helped me remove the item stayed to watch me the entire time, and even stepped over to stop me and check I had properly scanned a couple of items. At the end I approached her to ask for bags, which she at first indicated I should go for the 10cent bags, when I asked for the bigger re-usable ones she questioned my ability to pay for them. I attempted to make a joke, trying to make the situation less hostile, I don't think she appreciated it. I don't know what made her feel the need to be so abrasive but it really felt like I was being treated like a criminal the whole time. Albertsons is my favorite grocery market only because I've spent my childhood shopping at this store. All the employees are friendly and don't make you feel stupid if you ask a stupid question like "do you guys have butternaut squash?" They are eager to help you! I go here every single week for cheese, dairy, and their freshly made stack of Albertson's Ribs, and their wangs! They have a self check out area for those that hate waiting in line (totally me) and would prefer to do it by themselves. The cashiers are smiley and ask how youre doing everytime you come by, also they give out free bakery samples by the bake stands! The meat department has a strong potent fishy stench, which I find extremely bothersome and they haven't done anything to resolve this situation but only by adding an automatic odor dispenser which I can't even smell under the gross stenches.. other than that I will avoid buying anything from the meat department only assuming perhaps, the smell is for a reason??? read more

We dropped in to pick up some appetizers fir a party we were going to. We ended up going with a shrimp cocktail which was dry tasty I might add. We also picked up a floral bouquet of flowers from their flower section. I did to know they had a whole section dedicated to only flowers and bouquets I thought that was pretty cool. read more

Let me start off by saying I have been here many times since my boyfriends family lives down the street and never had a problem until my boyfriend and I came in here around 10:30 PM on January 16, 2023. We were in the middle of purchasing ice cream when our cashier, an older guy with gray hair who I later learned was named Rick literally ran out the door to chase down what I discovered then to a shoplifter. Without even letting us know where he was going or saying he'd be back he ran out. This already seemed unprofessional to me but even so we finished paying for the transaction on our own on the pinpad and we decided we didn't need the receipt since our cashier had so abruptly left and wasn't back to give us one, we decided to then walkout. The scene I saw outside was startling as i saw in the front of the store a younger employee who looked like he was probably a teenager named Jacob pushing the shoplifter. We didn't walk out in time to see who initiated the altercation, so I can't say if the altercation was started by the shoplifter or by the employee Jacob, but I did see Jacob shove the shoplifter hard against his chest. Rick our cashier already had the man's basket with the unpaid items in his hand. Right before Rick and Jacob turned to walk away as the shoplifter who was visibly unkept and who I would assume to be houseless since there is a larger community of unhoused people on Westminster Blvd compared to other areas in the city, the younger employee Jacob rudely yelled "HA HA YOU'RE BROKE" To the unhoused man in such a taunting and rude tone. I was very disgusted with this act of rudeness. I don't think it represents Albertsons very well to have an employee yell something so rude at someone who is obviously starving, has no place to live, and like most of us isn't fortunate enough to have these things. I've worked in retail for going on 5 years now, and my boyfriend has worked in customers service for a decade, we both also deal with occasional shop lifters but to turn back and call someone "Broke" and do so in such a rude manner was unbelievable to me and just seemed completely unnecessary. I proceeded to confront Jacob, asking if he was proud to be so unnecessarily rude to a fellow human being who was already suffering in their circumstances, something we're fortunate enough to not experience. I don't think that the unhoused man's actions were justified, but the actions from the Albertsons employees were beyond unprofessional as well in handling the situation. I told both Rick and Jacob that I would be paying for the unhoused man's groceries that they had confiscated. When I asked for both their names Rick (the cashier) claimed that he had already given me his name although he hadn't. He proceeded to call me a "liar" to my face multiple times claiming that I knew his name and that I was just acting like I didn't. His name tag wasn't visible since he was wearing a zip up sweater covering it and he had NOT given me his name previously. I was obviously even more upset being called a liar when I had just asked what his name was. Rick also proceeded to tell me that I "knew nothing" about working in retail, called me "rude", and went on to tell me to "shut up" multiple times. I defended myself in the interaction and when their manager Manny arrived he seemed to be the only one that was nice enough to say that what his employee Jacob had said to the unhoused man was uncalled for. When we were exiting the store Jacob laughed in my face which again is no way to treat a paying customer and doesn't represent Albertsons well. I read SEVERAL reviews regarding this Albertsons on here saying they felt racially profiled by employees, or were treated like criminals which I must say seems pretty accurate to the behavior or both these employees I had experiences with today. Every store that I've worked in while doing retail has taught us to treat people with kindness, everything we say and do represents our company and I have to say Rick and Jacob represented Albertsons so awfully on this night. I understand wanting to stop a shoplifter but to do so in such a way as to not even treat the person with enough decency and respect as to equate them to being human is disgusting. I hope that Rick and Jacob both never have to experience what it's like to be financially insecure and not know when their next meal may be like that poor man who they treated so rudely. Needless to say I won't be coming back to this Albertsons location ever again and I hope people like Rick and Jacob can find peace within themselves to be better people even to those who they don't share the same struggle with. read more

Very disappointed in the Albertsons on Westminster Avenue and Golden West Street Today is the first day of their weekly ad. One would think that they would be stocked with the items that are on sale. Ha! Apparently the manager of the store does not watch to make sure that the shelves are stocked by the people that are supposed to order the products. I went in specifically this morning at 8 AM for three items that were on sale. Shelves completely bare of these three items. Extremely disappointing who knows When they will get around to stocking the shelves. Poor management as far as I'm concerned and poor employees that are paid to do the ordering of the products. Albertsons has the best quality foods when it comes to grocery shopping. One of my favorite places to shop and convenient in my area.

I'm often in this area to watch movies at the theater nearby and was here again Monday night for the same thing and also needed grocery. I knew that if I drove home I wouldn't stop again so this was convenient. It's been a while since I've been in an Albertsons. They tend to be more expensive than other grocery stores but carry various stuff that isn't found elsewhere. I managed to find the basics that I needed and check out was quick via their self check out stations. read more

Came here 3 times (1 in the afternoon, 1 in the evening, and today morning) for the back rib which is on sales, but this location never had that item in stock. The young guy working in the meat section told us to come on the next day's morning which is today, but we couldn't find it anywhere in the store. Then my husband came to ask the guy in the picture if they still have it or not, but he totally ignored us. There was no answer, just a silence. We don't know if it happens because we are Asian, or because Albertsons doesn't spend any funds on the training programs, but either of these reasons, the customer service should be improved, especially at this time when people are fighting to end racism in this country. read more

Yesterday 4/7/2020, I watched the deli clerk (Tall, heavyset Caucasian male) at around 10am prepare another customers order while I was waiting with my patient so he can order his. The guy has been wearing gloves but touching the counter, scale, glass, & machines. He sliced layers of chicken weighed it, bagged & then moved on to do same with ham, turkey & what looked like cheese. I watched this guy touch all those foods & objects around him without changing his gloves ONCE. He literally cross contaminated EVERY food he put hands on. But hey he was wearing gloves keeping HIMSELF protected during this pandemic. Being in the food industry staff need to have a clear knowledge of safe handling & the importance of preventing a cross contamination. Unfortunately I have to walk into this store daily with my patients & it's not the first time I've seen him do it as I told him before when he did it. Today, I had to call the store to let them know they only had 3 registers open and all 3 had lines backed up into the food aisles. They brought out more help, but why did I have to call? Super convenient grocery store, great location. I remember when it used to be Lucky and the Rite Aid next door used to be Thrifty...boy those were the good ole days. Anyways, I think this Albertson's is one of the easier ones to navigate through to get all your grocery shopping done. Two other pluses for me here, I pick up any prescriptions that I might have at the Sav-On Pharmacy inside the store and I can grab some cash anytime at the Wescom Credit Union inside the store as well. They also have 2 Redbox machines and a Coinstar machine. read more

Stopped in there on Sunday night to get some meal prep stuff, skipped the chicken as their selection looked nasty, lots of juice/fluid in the tray with the chicken breasts. Settled on some pre-seasoned sirloin, upon getting to the register, the cashier picked up one of the packages of meat and proceeded to hold it up to his nose and sniff it! When questioned about doing so, he stated that he likes some of the seasoning they use on their pre-seasoned meat. WTF. who does that. It was disgusting. Who trains theses workers. it's got your basic needs that you'd want at a grocery shop. Best to come here (like any other grocery shop) on a Wednesday when they seem to have the more fresher stuff. Albertson's doesn't use the rewards card, any more. They are discounting everything automatically, so you don't need to type in your rewards card or scan your rewards card. Much more convenient that way. They've been having a buy one get one free in the specific meat section near the ground beef. These are pre-sliced or pre-seasoned, and it's normally either steak or chicken and sometimes ribs. They tend to expire in a couple days, so it's only for those who really will cook those meats that night. Noticed that the prices here are sort of high. I only come here when I'm lazy to go to the farmer's market. Otherwise, it's good for bare necessities. Plenty of parking. Drivers can be quite rude at times, though. read more

Having a grocery store close by to my house is super convenient. I always come here for everything and whenever I need some last minute stuff. The hours are great. They open early and they close at 11pm before midnight. Each week they have different deals, you just have to check the ad. Food is always fresh and if you don't have time to cook, the deli has some tasty wings and wedges! This grocery store has almost everything that you can possibly need! Oh and the pharmacy is very fast too. I usually drop off my prescription and I have 20-30 minutes to do some grocery shopping and it will be ready by the time I finish. They also offer flu shots too. And if you get your flu shot that day, they will offer you 10% off your grocery. 10% off for wanting to be healthy?! Heck yes! Win win situation read more

I had the rudest checker named Douglas. I had a problem with my card so I asked him to hold my order and let others go in front of me while my dauggter ran out to the car to get me a diffrent card. I don't go to Albertsons often but I needed something quick and it was nearby. The service here is so bad I wonder how they still have customers. I went to get some carrots and I went to self checkout and there was only one other cashier on the other side. I checked my produce because there are different types of carrots. The carrots were a bit larger so I inputted what was displayed on the screen. I was then prompted to pay $41 dollars! So I asked for help and I find it amazing that Nick the other cashier could see I needed help but just glared and no one else bothered to come over. So I exited and returned to his line and there was a customer before me and both he and Nick glared at me. It was funny because during this time my boyfriend made the reference that he didn't say hello or acknowledge us compared to the man before us. This review is for the Sav-On Pharmacy located inside only. Customer service is awesome. Duke and Tracy saw that I just had dental work done; I could barely speak coherently because of anesthesia and this huge piece of gauze in my mouth, and they went 100% auntie and uncle mode on me. I arrived for a same day prescription pick up. I showed them the prescription, gave them my insurance card, and received my medication in ten minutes. After checking my insurance, they told me that I might as well go around to the back where they would give me a free flu shot too! Basically in and out in 15 minutes and got everything I wanted and more! 4 Star Rationale - every time I've come here and go to checkout, they have a new cashier open up if the lines have more than a couple people in them. So since I usually come here after the gym (24 hr fitness is in the same mini-mall as this store) that means I am in hurry and dont want to stand in line forever coated in sweat while waiting to checkout. Other cool things: There fruits and vegetables are always on point. They look super fresh and super sexy. This is the main reason why I come here. I used to buy my produce at Costco but then the stuff would spoil within two days of bringing it home. Plus Half the produce at Costco is banged up. They have fried chicken and wings in the deli section as you walk in to the left that is already cooked and ready to go. Its really good too! Haha so at lunchtime when local restaurants are crowded I can sneak in really quick to buy lunch. The Butcher section has really nice meats. Excellent quality. read more
