Been coming to this location for over a year now and today I have reached my limit with the behavior of their staff. Tonight while checking out of self checkout I had an error and needed the clerks help, patiently waiting as he avoids eye contact to help me I begin to raise my hand as Others are beginning to also receive errors and wanted to be sure he knew we had been waiting going on 5 minutes he then looks at me and yells I see you I ignore it as I know he's very busy and begin to explain what happened when we got the error, he then begins yelling at me to not interrupt. Me and my fiancé tell him there's no need to be rude which he then ignores us, we ask for his manager, then this man JAMES, lies to us saying he's the manager and come to find out he is not. All I have to say is don't return to this place unless you're Caucasian/heterosexual or you will definitely be discriminated against. The security has made homophobic comments to us, as well as witnessed another male employee who was blatantly racist towards a black man and refused him help. Idk who's in charge of hiring here but it seems most of the men employed here shouldn't be working with customers. read more

I'm really not a fan of this grocery. The wares are pretty much what you would expect for a mid-town Albertsons: dirty parking lot, cramped product arrangement, massive crowds, etc... When Safeway renovated their store at Campbell and 6th, I was elated - finally an attractive, clean grocery store near campus! I've always preferred Safeway to any other big chain grocer in Tucson (they tend to stock higher quality food / brands, higher quality generic brand items, cleaner stores, cleaner parking lots), and they've held up their tradition of offering the best stores in the city, in my opinion. Unfortunately, other grocers in the area haven't followed suit, and so most mid-town grocery chains remain somewhat dingy. One good thing about the bakery, as with all in-grocery bakeries, is they mark items on sale after they've been sitting there for a day or two, but honestly, for me, this isn't any reason to visit the place. If you live close by, go for it. If you can drive to Sunflower Market or Trader Joe's (on 1st or Campbell, respectively), I would highly suggest it. If you need to make a quick milk run, Albertson's will do. read more

Cleanliness is important, particularly if your business is food and drugs. But the most important here is the availability of the things you necessitate to buy in the midriff of the night or in a very early on the daytime. This place is always dirty. The management staff is rude and likes to stock the shelves by blocking the aisles. The staff is condescending and rude when you check out. They do not have a self checkout options so you have to deal with their bad customer service. Go to Fry's instead. read more

I haven't been to one of these in years and It's actually better than i remember (could be because of the Safeway merger, or maybe the location I used to go to was just bad haha)! This location was very clean and had everything I was looking for. The parking was fine, and the lines were ridiculously long but they moved quite quickly. I will probably be back here often as it's in a pretty convieninet location for me. read more

This is my go to store, not only because it's close but I love the quality or produce and meat, and have never had an issue with the customer service. I highly recommend their butcher counter!!!! Yes it's is a little more expensive, but ill gladly pay for quality over Wal-Mart neighborhood market. read more

This store is able to retain a solid crew and it shows. The lines move quickly. The cashiers are familiar and friendly. The store has what I expect to find at a grocery in Tucson. The prices range depending on the sales but I find that it's often the best deal for a few miles. read more

Don't listen to the haters! Albertsons may seem dirty but it's a fine place to shop, especially if you don't want to drive far. The prices are a little higher because it's a smaller chain then safeway and the bulk stores. One nice thing is that you don't have to be a 'club' member to get the good on sale items (unlike other stores, Safeway). Most of the staff is friendly and they have a good bakery. I think these other people are just used to upscale AJs and such. read more

I had a friend who one time thought it would be a good idea to ride his bike to this place and get more beer.... YES HE WAS DRUNK at the time..... well then he went in and when he came back out his bike was gone..... someone stole it.... so he walked home i and drank half of the beer by the time he got home...... i guess it was his fault for not locking up his bike but the place didnt have any cameras to say ha ha ha ha ha ha i got you on tape....... on a good note the beer was still cold when he got home.... read more

It's unfortunate that this Albertson's is so sickly looking because it's so central. It's got that classic old grocery store smell and just feels kind of heartless and anemic. It'll work in a pinch though. read more

Albertsons is weird because it can either be really cheap or really pricey - totally depends on whether you're shopping their sales or getting regular items. For that reason, its hard for this to be my main place to grocery shop. Generally I'll hit them up for 2-3 "sale" items (their meat, in particular, is usually on sale), but that's about it. They also have some decent bakery items if you've got a sweet tooth. My husband & I will occassionally get a slice of their pre-cut cake, which is the perfect size/quantity to share. But they don't have a large produce selection, nor do they have a very good cheese selection - hit up Sunflower for those items! read more

I like Albertsons, however it can be expensive if you buy all your groceries here. Some things are pretty good here, such as their bakery. They also have a good variety of wines. It is clean and it closes late (1:00 pm) but their prices cannot compete with Wal-Mart. read more

My usual go to store for meats. They're usually cheap - chicken breast on sale would be $1.50-$1.90/lb. Ground beef would be $2-$2.70/lb. Not too bad. Their produce are ridiculously expensive. Onions, vegetables, fruits etc - sprouts carry better deals like... all the time. Download their Albertsons app to check their weekly coupons and deals. Compare them to Sprouts. Some weeks they're better, some weeks they hike up the price too much. Store is clean. Parking lot is okay - becareful of strange people loitering around. It is usually safe, but still. Some of the cashiers are nice and polite, some are not. There's this guy who is rude and doesn't talk to you when checking out at the register. There's a redbox inside the store - that's a plus one for convenience! They have organics and local products. Their bakeries are DELICIOUS! And they have the best deal for their cinnamon rolls - 4 for $1! Do your homework before shopping to get the best deal. read more

alot of people hate albertsons, i like it,especially since they teamed up with osco drug,when this first happened it blew my mind. i would think, i'm in albertsons and osco at the same time, how can this be??? alot of places should do this, for instance i would love to be in a 7-11/los betos,but that will probably never happen. now back to albertsons, the seafood counter is fun to look at,but smells,and they make the men wear those weird beard covers, but not hats, does beard hair fall out faster than head hair??? other than that, alberstsons is not bad. , i would suggest safeway if you have the choice. over and out read more

I really do like this grocery store. I have moved around twice, but stayed in the same neighborhood, so this has been my grocery store for about two years. I have always found everything I need here. Also, I love the staff. I have never had an encounter with a rude or uncaring employee. The alcohol manager, Jaime, always tells me which alcohol "I would really want" if I am confused, and no, it is almost never the most expensive brand. He has always been really quick to help us, ordered a specialty beer for my fiance and sold it to us at a discounted price. (I am not a big drinker, so sometimes I have no idea what I need for drinks). There is one cashier, Katie, who I always try to get in line with. She remembers us every time and asks us questions relevant to what we talked about last time I was in there. I have always found their prices and selection to be great. Of course there are times when things get pricey, particularly produce, but that can't be helped, the prices of any store's produce change with supply. I think it's kind of sad that I am the highest rater on here...it really is a great store. read more

I'll admit I come here because I am lazy to drive elsewhere and this place is close to my house, but man I regret coming here sometimes. There are some shady people that hang around the store and THEY WILL pester you for money or a ride. It's really annoying to come here knowing that someone will not let you shop in peace. Again this isn't the stores fault, but I have to take away stars from my rating. The store itself is clean, but it looks old. The groceries themselves are pricey and as such I tend to only get a few items when I come, not my entire weeks groceries. The cashiers are hit or miss. The lady with the glasses is really friendly and nice, but the guys that work there are creepy. One guy is always hitting on ladies. One time I had my wife purchase something before me just for fun and the guy's friendliness was way different when I bought something. I thought that was kinda funny. The manager also is not nice, as he's openly mean to his cashiers. He's the tall Gandalf looking guy. I remember one time he got mad at a cashier that forgot to scan one of our waters. Seriously?? You're gonna get mad in front of the customer for a 87 cents gallon of water. Wow. read more

this is the worst supermarket I have ever encountered. It is clean, and all that, but does not honor the ADA , of which I am one, altho I have no walker nor wheelchair. My experience was not good, inconvienenced and long wait by a cashier who argued with me over the price of rice and I was as it turned out I was right. It made me late to my appointment. But what was most upsetting was the cashier in the next booth who butted in .I will never go back to this store even though it is in my neighborhood , and will use Frys and Walmart neighborhood market who are so much better.Especially Frys, where the cashiers are top notch. read more

I shopped at this Albertson's location during a meat sale which had offered a buy 1 get 4 free deal. I found numerous packages of a certain brand of beef that had rotted and turned visibly green. I brought one of the greener packages to the meat counter where after looking it over the department lead simply said, "must be why it's on sale". this is not even the slightest of exaggeration. i have never written a review on yelp before, but i figure this is just too far. be careful everyone and double check the meat for your own safety. read more
