When I scan coupons in my app, they never show up in the total, and it's a hassle trying to save the money I was expecting to save. And the cashiers, they only have 1-2 lanes open at a time, and this store is infamous for a majority of elderly shoppers with full carts. They don't have enough help to make it move quick, nor a self check out option which is odd because everywhere any more has one, even circle k. One cashier stands out to annoy me the most, a bald gentleman. He never stops talking, inserting his unwanted opinions into anything and everything. If you didn't talk so much, maybe the line would move quicker! Even after I am finished paying and walking away with my bags, he is still projecting his voice at me about some nonsense he can't stop talking about! I'm so close to telling him to shut tf up. read more

for the second time this store has given me ham when I ordered turkey at the deli. TWICE. They think they are a big box store and only give discounts if you buy quantitites. I dont have the storage space, let alone the money to buy things I don't need. Their front end register clerks are great but they are attempting to replace them all with self service. While visiting family, I ran in here to grab a few things. They had a decent size produce section, but for some reason I couldn't find much organic produce. I was able to fine a guy working in the area and asked him for help. When I mentioned I was looking for the organic section he gave me a confused look like, and then stated they don't really sell organic anymore due to not many people buying it. I was so shocked....having lived in California for awhile, I just assumed every grocery store had organic produce, but I guess it's now just a Cali thing?? read more

Pre-COVID, I hardly ever stepped foot in a traditional grocery store. But my usual haunts, Trader Joe's and Costco had such long lines that I turned to my local Albertsons instead. They'd made aisles one way, served their deli items prepackaged, and generally didn't everything they could to encourage social distancing. While much is back to normal, the store is never too crowded, and the pharmacy team is amazing. Not to mention their butcher and vegetable teams are incredibly helpful, willing to make up custom packages or trim items to your exact preferences. The deli is great too, making hot items fresh all day and slicing meats and cheeses to whatever thickness you prefer. Their salads- deviled egg and hot corn especially- are always fresh and flavorful. But it's the bakery that wins the day today. We rarely eat bread or sweets, but the scent of Irish soda bread today was incredibly tempting. It was so fresh and hot they had to pack it in a paper box instead of a bag, and my husband was delighted when I got home- it was authentic and perfectly baked. read more

I only go to this store because it is the closest grocery store to my house, and I'm lazy. It isn't the cleanest, and I frequently have to dig around for milk that isn't expiring in a day. In fact, I've had to bring milk that has been two days PAST expiration to customer service because it was somehow still on the shelf. I often leave the store without buying anything because the milk is too old, and that is a main item on my list. Why don't I just go to Safeway off the bat? Or Target now that they have groceries? Went into the store yesterday on the first day of the face masks being required in public in Tucson. Sign on the door states store only allows 50% capacity, but no one at the doors to enforce that or the new mask ordinance. Customers inside waking around without masks. Store employees do not enforce social distancing requirements. When we inquired about this at checkout the clerk told us per a conference call with Albertsons HQ they were not enforce any Covid-19 safety measures, that they were to rely on customers to police themselves. So Albertsons has apparently decided to put profit over customer safety. They don't seem to realize that dead customers aren't repeat customers. As I will not be a repeat customer; my money will be spent in stores like COSTCO and Wal-Mart that have the responsibility to do what's necessary in these difficult times. read more

I came to get groceries as this place was super close to my new house. I've never shopped here and I must say I won't be coming back. To start, the prices were higher than Frys and Safeway for the items that I typically buy. I was not impressed with the deli items. Where things really went south was during check out. There were 2 lanes opened, 1 fast lane and 1 regular lane. I had to take the regular lane. As I was entering the line I observed a female employee getting extremely rude with a customer checking out. In the fast line. The customer was debating a scanned price. She was not handling it appropriately and a male employee approached and took over, I assumed he was a manager. Rather than take the customer away from the area as it was getting loud, he continued the "debate" in the line causing that line to back up. Ironically my line wasn't moving. I waited 22 minutes in line before I was able to put my items on the belt. I was furious that on a Saturday morning they had 2 cashiers and never opened another window, yet there were other employees everywhere doing seemingly nothing. (I realize they were doing something, but helping customers wasn't it) Once I actually got to the cashier I asked if management normally schedules them this way, and she said unfortunately they never schedule enough help. Hmmmm...not good for the poor employees that have to deal with upset customers. Thanks Albertson's for making a 20 minute chore an hour long frustrating experience read more

Very nice Albertsons. Modern layout, well-lit store, clean, friendly...and Albertson's prices, which are competitive. Not a full sit-down deli, but they have all the usual Albertons's deli items, including the chicken wings bar. They have the usual things you would expect from a larger grocery store, flowers, pharmacy, etc. Conveniently located, too, for the residents on that side of town. I would recommend this grocery for a pleasant shopping experience. read more

This far east-side Albertson's has got a definite Food City vibe. Don't get me wrong, I love Food City and go there regularly for bulk pintos, jalapeños that are actually hot, and stock-up prices on fideo. On our way out, we hit that taco stand in the parking lot, it's quite good. On second thought, I feel bad comparing Food City to Albertson's. What Food City's lacking in ambiance & amenities, it makes up for with soul. This Albertson's tired, and it ain't got no soul. Shop somewhere else. read more

I've never been a fan of the Albertson's chain but the convenience of this store (less than 3 min drive from my house) had me coming in a few times a month. I have to admit now, that after the remodel, it is a much nicer and cleaner store and always well lit. They added a flower case, have a cheese case, as well as a chicken "station" where you can get your fried chicken pieces, wings, etc. and a much nicer and fresher seafood service counter.The whole store seems to have cleaned up. Good customer service and they have all the general household grocery items you would need. They are frequently running promotions (we got a free brand new Chef's Knife!) and can have good deals on foods. My only complaint is that the eggs and dairy don't seem to be the freshest as they are constantly marked down trying to get them off the shelf because they expire in a few days/week. Other than that, I have no reservations about recommending this location to someone to do their grocery shopping. Why not 4 stars? Because they don't offer much of a selection of the foods/items that would really make me a fan. I'm a bit spoiled and like my specialty foods and organic produce. read more

I went to the Customer Service desk on a Sunday evening and the manager on shift behind the counter didnt bother to acknowledge that I was there and instead disappears into a small office and shuts the door behind him. Standing there in limbo ,I was in line for what seemed to be 5 minutes. The two cashiers at the checkout didn't seem to care that a customer (me) was waiting .Business in the store was at a standstill and I felt really small & invisible and wondered why neither of the cashiers could`ve of taken the time to ask me if I`d been helped. A clerk eventually came by to assist my need and was very nice (thank You ! ) beckoning me to hide my irritation at what just happened before. Why couldn't the manager on duty take a tiny moment to tell me that a clerk was on his/her way. I was angered to the point that I decided to do the rest of my shopping somewhere else that evening. I saw an ad that said peaches 19 cents a pound. I filled a bag and got a few other things. I needed laundry soap and wasn't familiar with the store as I don't shop there. So I asked someone who was sweeping the isles. She seemed irritated that I asked her and with no eye contact she said rudely "next isle". Ok I thought no big deal she's busy sweeping. Then I get to the counter to pay and apparently I needed the app for the peaches. Not wanting to make people wait behind me out of courtesy I said "can you put them back for me please I don't have the app". He said sure. When this happened to me at Fry's (I do have the app for them but was having trouble finding a coupon) they said "no problem we'll give it to you at that price". Looks like I'll be staying with Fry's because they don't seem to mind if you don't have the app or can't find a coupon. I made a special trip for those peaches but oh well. I guess you can say it's partially my fault for not having the app, but I could have gotten it for next time and should have just got my peaches. I live on a budget because I'm hadicapped and was so excited my husband was gonna make me some homemade peach cobbler. Oh well. read more

We've only shopped here twice, but they have EVERYTHING! And everyone is so nice and VERY helpful. The meat department was extremely nice and helpful when I was searching for turkey thighs. There are only 2 of us and we prefer dark meat, so a whole turkey (even a small one) is a waste for us. They had them and packaged them in the right quantities for us. They are kinda out of the way for us, but they are our store of choice now. read more

I will not be going into this store ever again. I had just been out looking at a house nearby and I had my little white Bichon Frise' with me. I had her in the child seat of a shopping cart sitting on her blanket. She goes with me into Sunflower at Pantano/Broadway when we go to PetSmart to shop with no problem. Today, I was met by the Store Director at Albertson's who informed me that health code regulations do not allow her to be in the store and that she should be "left outside". Who in their right mind leaves an AKC purebred Bichon Frise' "outside"? There are dog nappers that like to get "free" doggies. Even to the point of going into someone's house to get the dog. Needless to say, leaving my pup "outside" is NOT an option. I had gone in to shop today and left buying nothing. I will take my dollars elsewhere....like Sunflower Market where a clerk named David took my friend's service dog certificate and laminated it for her for free. Now that's service with a smile! Thank you, Sunflower. You're the BEST! QUESTION: Is a clean little indoor 14 lb. dog on a blanket in a basket worse than a stinky, loaded baby diaper? What health code regulations cover those? I rate the Store Director's handling of this a -10 which is not on the scale above. read more
