This pharmacy is great! No matter what time you go everyone that I have dealt with is great! They…read moreare friendly and very professional.

ZERO STARS. Awful, complete and total NIGHTMARE! 1. Every…read moretime I went to pick up my prescription, there was a huge line, and there is NEVER enough staff to actually handle the number of customers. The staff that IS there seems completely un-rushed and un-bothered by the fact that people are standing in line for 30+ minutes. It's like they are all purposely moving extra slow. The drive-thru ALWAYS seems to take priority for some reason, so even if I've been waiting forever, if a car drives up, they'll go to the car first. 2. One time I went at midnight to try to avoid a line. I was happy to see that there was no one there. Literally AS I WALKED UP, the lady behind the counter put up a sign saying "Back in 15 minutes." No joke, she didn't put it up UNTIL SHE SAW ME. I was the ONLY person, so would it have killed her to help me out before taking the break? I left and returned about 20 minutes later - the sign was STILL UP (even though the 15 minutes had passed). I saw one employee counting/scanning prescriptions and not acknowledging me at all. I waited 10 more minutes (30 minutes total - TWICE as long as the sign said) and then I walked up to the window and said (politely) "Ma'am, it's been half an hour already..." She literally ignored me and said nothing. Didn't even turn around. 5 more minutes and another employee finally sauntered in at the speed of snail. 3. You get different answers and different "rules" depending on which pharmacist/employee you speak to. I have Medi-Cal, but the prescription I was picking up was from a NON-Medi-Cal doctor. I was paying for this doctor totally out of pocket. I was told the medication she prescribed is not covered by Medi-Cal. I explained my doctor isn't a Medi-Cal doctor and I don't want to use my Medi-Cal insurance to pay for the prescription - I'll just pay the $10 cash. The first two months they seemed to understand this and everything was fine. I paid cash and got my medication. Then the third month or so, they told me I am not ALLOWED to pay cash, I MUST use Medi-Cal, but since Medi-Cal doesn't cover this medication, there is nothing I can do. They literally told me this. I can't use my insurance because they don't cover it, butI'm also not allowed to pay cash. The pharmacist who told me this was rude and gave no other options. I called back the next day and talked to someone else, and THAT PERSON put it through for me and I paid cash and picked it up! WTF!!! Then month 4 same story about me not being able to use insurance OR pay cash - "Sorry, you just can't pick it up." I finally switched to Costco and they had ZERO issues with me paying cash despite being a Medi-Cal patient. After switching my prescription to Costco, I called and made a complaint to Walgreens. The lady was very nice and said sympathized - said she had no idea what was going on and why they would tell me what they did, despite me having picked it up multiple times before. She said someone would call me back. They never did. There's so many pharmacies - trust me, go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Rude, slow, long lines, confusing nonsensical rules that only get followed by certain employees. Total headache. (Plus this location always has very un-savory looking characters hanging around in the front.)

Update Jan '26: - On the phone prior, they told me…read more$15.99/roll. Turns out it's $17.25/roll pre-tax (total = $18.76). - In my opinion, that price's a lil extortionate for such low-quality photos thru an outdated service. Must be the low supply. . Tip: when taking pics on a film camera, prioritize snaps outdoors. If you have to take indoors, highly recommended to use flash. If wanna capture legible text, make sure the font is large. . Note: Fujifilm develops your film, but you can't visit them directly (they don't have their own local retailers because the modern tech switch to digital media has obsoleted film photography), so you have to visit outsourcers like Walgreens. 12/24/25: Visited here to submit my disposable camera for film development. Staff will send my item out to Fujifilm. Thank you Hayley & Yelp Elite for the Yelpies award and the fun disposable camera! + Walgreens was my best option to submit the film. CVS was my other option. Surprisingly, Staples doesn't provide this service. Neither does UPS Store. And I rly don't wanna visit USPS... + Polite, helpful staff. + Good amount of parking. - Disappointed the process will take +2 weeks. Should I have taken my cam directly to a Fujifilm building? - Panhandler right by the front door.

As for the rest of the store, the people who have assisted us have been kind, quality products as one would expect, and the supply is good- never out of what we need. I realized I haven't written a review, so here it is. I had a great experience with the photo department, in particular, Paul, who processed our order of poster-sized enlargements (same-day service I was surprised to discover was offered here) and he was very helpful and fast. Thank you, Paul! The young man who rang up our order was very kind. I am shocked at the bad reviews for this store on yelp. I find them out-of-character for the store, many with poor grammar, that sound like they were written by people who are probably always mad about something. This is a nice store, a great location, and deserves WAY more stars than it has received.

However, over the past 3-4 months I have noticed a change in the level and quality of customer service I have received (for the worse). I so wish it wasn't the case and maybe it's because the pharmacy has gotten busier and Ms. Michelle has gotten a much larger workload, but whenever I deal with her directly, she seems very rushed and annoyed, whereas she always used to be very friendly and went above and beyond if I had ANY issues whatsoever. Again, it's very possible she is just handling a huge amount of work and doesn't have as much time as she used to, to chat and be super-friendly. Either way, the pharmacy is adequate in that 99% of the time my prescriptions are received and filled on time without incident. The employees/techs that work there are courteous and efficient. Sometimes I do notice issues with the phone/messaging system - there have been several times when I left a message for a call back and the Ai/machine confirmed all of my information (including a text stating my message has been receivd), yet I never got a call back. So now I'm just weary leaving messages, wondering if anyone actually receives them? I would probably switch pharmacies if this location wasn't so ideal (very close to my home). Also, the reality is that MOST pharmacies are an absolute nightmare anyway, so I may as well stick with the "OK" one, since whichever pharmacy I switch to will most likely be much, MUCH worse.

CUTE ARCHITECTURE! I love the Westminster aesthetic which combines quaint European culture with…read morewell-known store franchises. This Walgreens is neat on the outside, but pretty basic on the inside. I also felt it was a little empty in the front (near the register), it lacked products and staff. I came in on a Friday and was not greeted, a little more customer service would go a long way in otherwise sleepy store like this. The rest of the store is well-stocked with gifts, flowers and stuffed friends (Squishmallows). I found an excellent supply of CHANSEY Squishmallows from Pokemon and my heart was overjoyed. We came in to buy some flowers for a deceased relative down the street at the Westminster Memorial. My parents said the single roses were $5 each and the bouquets were very expensive! We adapted and bought some flowers, but this felt a little excessive on the store's part. This location is right off Beach and has a 30 min. parking limit.

I came in this stored injured, asked the cashier if I could use the restroom to do first aid on my wound WITH the first aid that I would buy from them. I bought their first aid and had to drive to the nearby Walmart to do wound care. They have ZERO sympathy with PAYING customer. Make me wonder why they should have any customer at all.

This time I received the butt-end of his "customer service.". It's always a hit or miss when it's time to check-out. 9x out of 10 you have to do self-checkout. Today was one of those days. The machine greeted me. It told me to put my phone number in if I am a rewards member. Check. It told me to scan my items and place my items in the bagging area. Check. It asked me if I wanted to purchase a bag. I pressed the button that said, "I have my own." It said, "Please place your bag in the bagging area." I placed my bag on my groceries. It repeated itself. Heavyset blonde dude happened to be walking by so I said, "Sir, this is not registering my bag." He walks up and has to make a stupid comment about, "You're not doing it right. You should have put your bag down before you scan." I tried cutting him off saying, "Yeah...I know," as I didn't want his lecture or I would have probably been 86ed from the store. He takes the screen back to a bag purchase page and says, "This is what you're supposed to do.."..and I clicked 0 bags. You know what, I wish I would have gotten his name. He's a complete and total condescending employee for want of an insult. He needs to sit his rump in the office, and take a course on the computer for customer service.
