Has to be the slowest pharmacy in town. Expect to wait a minimum of a half an hour every time you go.

Hiron's uses the same principle as dense urban areas: when real estate is limited, build vertically! The place it quite literally floor-to-ceiling with gifts, merch, sundries, goodies, and sooooo much more. The only minor knock is the 'organization' can be a touch shaky, but hey, throw in friendly service and that lack of sales tax in Oregon (I'm not local and love that) and WHAM! winner of a place. One of my wife's fave takeaways from a visit to see our Duck is a T-shirt from Hiron's; she always gets complements on it! You're on your own with parking since Safeway shares the lot and it can be like playing Frogger getting to the door (with you as the frog). Prices are fair and match the value, but if you need UO with a swoosh....then you can overspend elsewhere. I have never left Hiron's with less than five items, including my very first visit when I dropped my Duck off three years ago. They have the things I want, the things I didn't know I wanted, and tons of things to browse through and call my own.

On July 3, I visited the Walgreens pharmacy after being seen at BestMed Urgent Care across the street. Because it was a holiday and we weren't sure which pharmacies would be open, the provider gave me a handwritten prescription. At approximately 9:20 a.m., I dropped off my prescription with Hannah. From the beginning, the interaction was not pleasant. She seemed more focused on questioning my address than helping me. She was unable to locate my profile even though I have filled several prescriptions at this Walgreens. I've lived at the same address for the past three years, so I'm not sure why my information wasn't current. She told me to return in an hour. When I came back, her demeanor had not improved. She informed me that the Trillium insurance network was "down," so she could not bill my insurance. Since it was a holiday and I had both a sinus and ear infection, I asked what my options were. She told me I could either wait or pay cash. I asked whether I could be reimbursed later if I paid out of pocket, and she told me I would need to contact Trillium. Wanting to begin treatment as soon as possible, I paid cash. Today, I contacted Trillium and spoke with pharmacy representative Kenny. He confirmed that the Trillium system was not down. Instead, the claim had been rejected because the prescribing provider was not enrolled as a Medicaid provider. He explained that all I needed was a corrected prescription from the urgent care, after which Walgreens could reprocess the claim and reimburse me. After waiting on hold with the pharmacy for more than 30 minutes without anyone answering, I went into the store. After standing at the counter for several minutes before being acknowledged, Hannah came to assist me. I explained what Trillium had told me and mentioned that I had the representative on the phone. Before hearing the explanation, Hannah immediately became defensive and insisted, "It was down." While speaking with the Trillium representative, she rolled her eyes, made visible faces, and appeared irritated that I was trying to resolve the issue. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. I then had to return to the urgent care because the corrected prescription was initially sent to the wrong pharmacy. After another trip back to Walgreens, my prescription was finally reprocessed and I was reimbursed. While I appreciate that the reimbursement was ultimately completed, the entire situation could have been avoided. Had I been told on July 3 that the claim was rejected due to the prescribing provider's Medicaid enrollment status, I could have immediately returned to urgent care and had the prescription corrected. Instead, I spent two additional hours making phone calls and traveling back and forth between the pharmacy and urgent care. Mistakes happen, and I understand that pharmacy staff work under pressure. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication, professionalism, empathy, and accountability throughout the process. At no point did Hannah acknowledge the misunderstanding or apologize for the inconvenience. As someone who was already sick and simply trying to get medication, I left feeling frustrated and unsupported. Healthcare should include compassion as well as accuracy. I hope this feedback can be used to improve communication and customer service so future patients don't have a similar experience.

He was so incredibly welcoming when I walked in the door gave me a bright, happy good morning when I walked in. I stopped at the photo counter and he was the one who came to help me there to pick up the photos that I had had printed. When he said that he could go ring me up at the register or if I had other things to pick out to feel free to do that. It reminded me that I did in fact have a couple items that I needed to get which I quickly picked up with his help because he knew exactly where the item that I was looking for was. And then when I left and he checked me out, he was chipper as I'll get out, especially for someone who had come in on his day off on a day that was absolutely beautiful. Not at all Alexander related, but it must be mentioned: The parking lot is an absolute freaking mess. It seems like the only way you're actually supposed to enter the parking lot is via driving north and entering from that direction. Leaving is also a one-way situation, continuing north. The parking lot is way too small for Walgreens and Dutch Bros.

The tech said that she had one of the prescriptions ready and when I asked how long for the second, she said it could be an hour or two. Now, I don't know how a pharmacy works; I don't know how they fill prescriptions. But it seems clear that it's not per patient or in the order received since they had the pills, but just hadn't filled the prescription. A day or two later I went to pick up prescriptions for mom and they had one of the prescription ready but not the second. The pharmacist overheard and said that he was in the process of filling the second so it would be a few more minutes, so I waited, got them both, and left. When I got back home and mom looked at them and that's when we learned the prescription the Rite Aid app said was ready for pickup was not amongst those that they gave me. When she called the next morning to ask if it was ready and why it was not there when I went yesterday, she was told that they have until the end of the day to fill them. But that doesn't make sense--why would you say it's ready when it wasn't just because you have until day's end? It's not actually ready for pickup then, is it? Also ridiculous is that they sometimes just close the drive-up window. I went last night a little more than an hour before closing and there was a hand-written sign saying "drive-thru closed". I went in last night since they'd done that, but this morning when I went to see if that missing prescription was ready the drive thru was still closed, this time 1.5 hours or so after they opened. I couldn't go in this time since I had a sick child with me, so I'm going to have to make a third trip. The service is unbelievably bad; I'm not really sure why it takes them so long to fill a prescription, or why they don't have ready what they say they do, but this isn't the place that I would choose for my prescription needs. Besides the ridiculous pharmacy, I don't understand how they're still in business. There's almost no merchandise in this store. That's not hyperbole--entire aisles are practically bare, so what are they selling? Do they make that much on prescriptions? Avoid at all costs. There are at least a couple independent pharmacies around, such as Hirons and there's also Track Town Pharmacy, so why not support local business instead?

I waited and waited, decided to push the button on the machine in the next aisle ( incase 1st wasn't working). Finally girl came & I got my item. I also needed some nail polish . I wasn't in a hurry & decided to browse the store a bit before I checked out. After about 30 minutes, I went to the ladies room. Not wanting to bring unpaid merchandise into, I set it on a shelf across from the Starbucks, thinking it would be safe for 5 minutes. Well, unfortunately it was not. I came out and it was no where insight. I assumed someone was watching me and stoled it! I was pissed I wasted my time! I could have gone back to cosmetics and gone through all that again but I chose screw this.... I'll go to Fred Meyers! I know theft is out of control, especially Target for some reason. I was in this same store in August with my daughter. She needed to try on clothes. No one working back in the women's dressing rooms. The dressing room was full of clothes & I removed them. There was an enormous pile of tags that looked like ripped off from items. To me it looked like someone went into that dressing room with a pile of items & tore all the tags/tickets off and probably walked out the store. There are dishonest people out there, but Target needs to do a better job. There should have been staff working back there cleaning out dressing rooms and helping customers. While I was waiting for my daughter, several customers were waiting for open dressing rooms. All the doors were closed. Customers didn't know if rooms were open or not. I will say the entire dressing area was a mess! Maybe a perfect setup for thefts !
