I only go here because it's so close to where I live. But if I had a car or if any of my friends are heading out to buy groceries, I would definitely skip Albertsons. I feel like items at this Albertsons is a bit more expensive than any other. It opens at 6 am and closes at 1 am, and there's always a lot of people there no matter what time I drop by. I guess they're all the UCI students without cars. :( read more

I agree with everyone else. Bottom line is that if you have a car DO NOT go here because of the price of things in general (produce, frozen foods, beauty products) are sometimes double the price of other stores. Good collection and great location though so it's a typical albertsons that is a little expensive for somethings. read more

Gotta love Albertsons and who doesnt. This one in particular has a set up that I enjoy the most and that's their beer section. The people here are also very friendly and they'll assist you when you're in need. read more

Albertsons - Grocery Near Me - Irvine, California

Not really sure why this grocery store has such a low rating, it seems to be standard fare Albertsons if not better than most average grocery stores. You will be disappointed if you came to Albertsons looking for a specialty food store, it's certainly not a Whole Foods. But it's a clean, generally well-stocked, friendly Albertsons. It's spacious and the staff members have been pleasant and helpful in the years I've gone to this location. Parking is good but produce quality can be spotty. read more

The staff at the bakery are really helpful. Veronica was very nice to put together cupcakes with colors of our choice. read more

It's a worse grocery store in irvine that operates by worse management , specially last night's manager , she was so rude , disrespectful , she had temper and yelled on us . She needs more training to how treats customers . Always customer comes first no matter what . They don't even deserve one star . read more

My wife and I rented a rug doctor from here and Alex helped us out. She was very helpful and answered all of our questions and made sure we got exactly what we needed. Being the manager she was very busy yet she still took the time to help us and answer all our questions. read more

This review is for the bakery. Karen is beyond fantastic! She always makes us the most beautiful custom cakes...I have brought a picture of what I want in a few times and every time she makes something amazing exactly like the picture!! Delicious too!! read more

Looks nice and the staff seems very friendly. If you're in Irvine and need some quick groceries this is your place! But if you're thinking of buying more than just a few select items, take your time to drive out a bit. This alberstons is expensive. Blame expensive rent a few miles from campus in a community like Irvine, but its overpriced, bottom line. sometimes I find it hard to purchase certain items because I know its so much cheaper at other locations. Nice atmosphere for a grocery store. read more

This Albertsons is located in Campus Plaza. It has a lot of food-by-the-pound options here. It is very vibrantly decorated as opposed to all of the others in the city and has a whopping 8 self-checkouts for quick exiting. As of the time we were there, there were enough free spaces there and an attendant there so we could get our game pieces quickly and get out of there. They have coloring books at the front of the store as well. read more

Jamie and Randy are awesome at check out! Super friendly and honest welcoming. Roberto at the deli is awesome as well. I frequently ask for help selecting a chicken--they have different seasonings--or ask for suggestions to try a new item or salad. Super friendly to my entire family---see him for the best recommendations if you're undecided. I would give the store 5 stars for staff but just 4 because sometimes there's college students who have had too much to drink messing around the store, harmless but not something I like my kids to see. read more

Albertsons is seemingly unconcerned about disabled people. They don't leave the riding carts at the entrance, but park them in the back corner of the store. I have talked with the store manager and corporate customer care. I always to ask for someone to go and get it. As a person with severe back problems standing and waiting is a very painful experience. Sometimes it's a 8 or 10 minutes of leaning in pain waiting for someone to help. read more

Everything I expected it to be. Its fast and easy. A real lifesaver when you feel you're being spread too thin and need a little help.

This is still my go-to Albertsons even after having finished school at UCI. Ample parking, even with good restaurants in the plaza. The hot fried chicken is always juicy and seasoned just right. They have a nice UCI section in the front in case you need some souvenirs and couldn't make it over to the bookstore. This location is open until 1am, which is helpful if you need a late night snack or run out milk for tomorrow's breakfast. Staff is always friendly, but that could just be me, since I'm such a cool guy. They used to mark down items ridiculously back in the day ($.99/lb of ground beef!), but it doesn't get down that far these days. There's a clearance section in the back near the meat/seafood department; you can score some okay deals if you don't mind being out of season. Day-old bakery is on a rack back there, too. This particular location (in addition to a few area locations) has been including more Asian foods/products lately. Most of these offerings are cheaper at 99 Ranch and HMart, but they are convenient and sometimes go on sale for a decent price. Plus, if you go to UCI and don't have a car, this is really the only place you'll be able to shop regularly, besides Trader Joe's. If you're patient, you can get in on some good sale prices! And, as others have mentioned, there are a few Redbox kiosks here, as well! read more

DUDE-- I just bought a Belgian Waffle Maker yesterday for TWELVE BUCKS @ this Albertsons.... this place just upgraded to 4 stars! *fist pump* read more

Surprised to see so many positive reviews-- selection is okay, but honestly this shop is ripping off everyone who goes to UCI because not many of us have the means to drive elsewhere. Prices are horrible and many students just aren't equipped to afford that. With all of us here anyway, they'd make plenty of money with normal pricing. Hiking it up is just a douche move toward a bunch of people who have few other options for shopping. Not impressed with this treatment of customers or the shop as a whole, and come graduation I won't be stepping foot in another one. read more

I love this Albertsons the best! The layout is nice and the whole grocery store just has a nice feel. The Albertsons in Tustin is all white and looks so generic and robotic. Back in my UCI days, we loved coming here for late night alkie and munchie runs. I especially love how their ground beef is super cheap when you go later in the day. No other Albertsons I've gone to has that sort of deal. I've never had any issue with Albertsons being more expensive than other grocery stores. In fact, I've always thought it to be one of the cheaper ones! read more

For your daily essentials such as eggs, milk, meats, and snacks, this is the place to go. I just went there yesterday and was suprised how cheap it is. 99 cents for a dozen eggs was the one thing that stood out the most. There are usually many specials for meats and we ended up getting the ready-to-go chicken at a deal of buy 1 and get the 2nd free. To top it off service is great and there is also a redbox for your movie rental needs. read more

Boo for being ridiculously overpriced. Double boo for taking such a long time to realize that the Ralphs just a short drive away is so much more affordable. read more

I know I said it wasn't stocked well for desserts; I take it back - they're not well stocked for anything awesome this Los Angeleno expects from her supermarket (more like short bus market). read more

I was there to help my friend filming a short movie project. So here my review is just about the parking. I got there at 1am and parked my car for free till almost 3am. It was a safe area, definitely better than parking next to jack in the box. read more

My husband and I were picking up groceries last night along with some beer and wine and we were denied purchasing alcohol. We are both in our thirties and both had id (valid Canadian Government issued drivers license and a second piece of Identification). It was clearly obvious that we were not underage. It was embarrassing and the cashier was very rude, needless to say we will not shop at this location ever again. We went to Ralph's after and had no issues. read more

I usually like Albertson's, but I hate having to come to this one. The employees are really unpleasant and acted like helping me was a huge personal inconvenience. I wouldn't come to this location again unless I was desperate. read more

The have the BEST pre-cut pineapple! It's my crack. I also enjoy the California rolls here. The clearance section is always fun to riffle through, too. Great selection of beer and alcohol. The store is always clean and organized and the workers actually offer to help you. Cashiers always offer you a smile. I can get in and out quick with the self check out as well. read more

I love them better than Pavilions. At least they don't over price their food, and they also update their magazines, and their employees are nicer. Albertson = better than Pavilions. read more

This Albertson's is so convenient that if you live near UCI you will not save anything going elsewhere that you don't spend on gas and your own time. Trader Joe's has a few things such as grass feed beef that are a little less expensive, but you can't do a whole week's worth of shopping at TJ's and I hate those distasteful vegetables in plastic. Albertson's, on the other hand, has *excellent* produce and while some items are slightly higher in price than Wholesome Choice, the produce is much fresher. If you keep things around for a few days you will discover this. The bok choy is wonderful. Once you leave SoCal you will understand how precious it is because you can't get it most places. I love the Korean noodles too. For $4.79 (frequently on sale for $4.59) you get amazing fresh noodles from Korea; no idea how they get them here that fast (well, a plane maybe) but I am Italian and know noodles, and these are great. Check for the Happy Eggs too. If you are young you might not be thinking ahead to Omega-3, but think ahead. Eggs are so absurdly cheap there is no sense in trying to save money on them (and you will pay later in medical bills). If you want to save money, shop the sales at Albertson's. I stock up on Diet Coke when it's .99 and I buy two big thingies of orange juice when it's $2.99. Americans are spoiled; the quality of our food is insanely good and it really costs nothing if you don't buy junk. Orange Juice with vitamin D, calcium, and not concentrate for $2.99? No where else on earth. The stuff is so well packaged, the expiration dates are far out enough that just don't open it till you need it and you'll be fine. The junk goes on sale too. I buy M&Ms when they are on sale. They also have a nice selection of bottled Indian sauces like Korma. I've tried making these from scratch at home and they require lots of labor; I'm happy to have the pretty good version in the bottle. I wish Albertson's had affordable orchids the way TJ's does. That's the only thing that lures me there. read more

I can't. This is the last time I come here. You can't ask a question without getting attitude and you can't maneuver around the store without staff scoffing at you for being in the way. This has happened at least 4 times and now I'm just done. read more

While this isn't the worst Albertsons I've been to, it is pretty bad. It's obviously catered to the poorer college student being right next to UCI. Which as a student myself does have some advantages, but when my goals are eating healthily it's not as helpful. The lines for the registers are usually a little long for how many people are actually in the store. There are several places nearby that have IMO a better selection of quality foods and products that are a better choice to go to. read more

Customer service needs work. I needed assistance at the self checkout because the machine didn't recognize the weight of an item, and the employee that assisted me was very rude, and had a very disrespectful tone. It was very obvious she did not want to be there to assist me. read more

Just got a great deal fried chicken for 5.00 buck! Best part it's really good and 8 pcs

I won't shop there anymore, I keep finding expired food that I bought this year that expired last year. And they play dirty tricks in the meat dept. too. I will go to Walmart its higher quality and cheaper. read more

Manager and some of the staff are very rude and do not want to admit to what they have done wrong and are very disrespectful, they have the worst customer service and they blame all their mistakes on customers and accuse customer for trying to steal. read more

Most of the employees have bad attitude at this location. I went to buy a cake. Waited in self checkout for about 3 mins because white blonde girl Barbra I believe that was her name had conversations with another employee and not paying attention to help customers. I swiped my card but somehow there system refused to accept my card. I interrupted her conversation to help me. She was explaining and I was waiting to pay and leave the F out. She look at me "you are not listening. Are you paying attention what I am saying". B;$$;ch please. I called ASM (Mike) very pleasant person and he tried to give me the cake for free but I didn't except it. I didn't call him to get a free cake. I called him to take care your employees. This is store manager fault for not training there employees to have better customer service. I am not uci student that raise your voice on me B$;$;$ch. This is not my first or second bad experience with is location. read more

Awesome service! We redeemed our $469 Fantasy 5 winning lottery ticket here and the lady that helped was so happy for us. She's never seen that big of a prize before. Excellent customer service. She said she didn't know if she had enough money in her register but said she'll give it to us anyway. read more

Just to let you bimbos (YELP) know....it closes at 1am NOT 12am.......Stupid hours are lying to us.....

I bought the pre-roasted chicken (whole) for dinner. I wanted to vomit. A lot of extra fat was not removed. The texture of the meat was very STRANGE (gummy/chewy). It's not tough or tender. It's just a very weird texture. The bottom of the chicken soaked in the juice for too long. I would never buy this product again. Yikes. read more

It's conveniently across from UCI and slightly over priced foods. No double coupons, but I can usually find what I want. No long lines and staff is pretty friendly. Not the best place to find herbs and peppers though. Everytime I need a green pepper or a rosemary I have to go somewhere else. No green or red peppers? Really!? read more

I come to the Albertsons deli oftentimes for lunch. Suzanne is a really cool worker there. She hooks it up with the sandwich. Sometimes you get 1.5 inches of meat from her! That's a lot of meat for a sandwich! Too bad there are always annoying ass solicitors in the front of the store. read more

The Albertsons is huge and has a huge selection. I'd been looking for specific products as where I usually shop, stopped carrying what I usually buy. I think because of the diversity of College kids that attend locally, that this Albertsons is smart to carry such a wide-range variety. I will be back. read more

The most expensive Albertson but they are open until 12 am and all holidays which helps.
