I live nearby and been coming to this place for many years. I decide to write a review, because I'm tired of seeing/experiencing the lack of customer service at this store. I used to be a manger for various retail companies, and I know how important customer service is to a retail business model. Customer Service should always be in the forefront in the retail industry. For this grocery store, this place severely lacks customer service by acknowledging guests/customers by a simple greeting. We got employees just chatting away with their favorite customers but neglect to bring a simple nod/greeting to everyone in their proximity. Here is a manager tip: If you're running the kiosks, you should keep your eyes up and making sure the customers using the kiosks don't need help and coordinate the flow of traffic. (Maybe I managed a store that had kiosks :P) Starbucks staff is solid, but the cashiers/sups remain unfriendly and customer service sucks. (Yeah, I'm call you out working the kiosk today around 6pm. You been working at this store for a long time and your customer service is ALWAYS lacking from my observation) I rather go shopping in La Mirada even though it's a bit farther away then come to this place. read more

Conveniently located in the Amerige shopping mall, this is a pleasant store to shop. There is plenty of parking. Store is well stocked. Clean. Employees are friendly and eager to assist. Self check out area is very cool in saving time and getting you quickly on your way! Like other Albertsons locations, if you do all your shopping here, your wallet will suffer mightily as their pricing tends to be on the high side. However, if you diligently watch for their sales and stock up when practical, you can still make out okay! read more

This review is for the lady working at the pharmacy tonight. She seemed to not know what shes doing and hates her job. At first she interrupted me when i said ill get my id and ins card. She then preceeded to tell me it will be a lil while . I asked how long and ahe said 25 min . I said ok. She asked me why i wAnred to use my rx coupon instead of my insurance. I said bcus my Dr said it was cheaper this way. I went to kill time and returned and she said the medicine was filled at cvs per the prescription. I said the prescription paper was so i can fill it here regardless or what they sent to cvs. My Dr just gave me both do i can shop for bedt price. She never gave me a price comparison if using insurance or my coupon. After 25 min she then tells me they dont have this in stock. SO INCOMPETENT AND RUDE to waste my time while im sick. I went to target got it filled in 10 minutes. I shouldve never tried albertsons pharmacy but my Dr said it may be cheaper there per the Goodrx app. No thank you. Never again! read more

I frequent this Albertson all the time as I live nearby. I have yet to be greeted by whom appear to be the manager or assistant manager. Just today, I went through the self check out. I asked the woman who was manning / overseeing the self check out stands if she can assist me with the purchase of lotto. They have a customer service counter with a lotto station and a lotto vending machine to one side of the stand. She pointed to the machine and instructed me to to go there as i can purchase my lotto there. I only had $20 dollar bills and wanted to purchase on $10 worth and the machine indicated that it does not give change. So when I turned around, I guess she saw that I was reading this note on the machine and started heading over to the customer service counter. All the while she looked genuinely upset that she had to assist me. Now why should a paying customer need to be treated like this and have to feel like my business is not appreciated? I don't know who owns this location, but whoever owns this location should one day come by anonymously and shop. They will see that the staff (upper management people mostly) makes one feel like crap. I've lived in this neighborhood for over 25 years and know many people. Because of these repeated negative experiences Ive had to endure from the staff I'm going to share my experience and displeasure about this Albertsons with my friends, family and colleagues from work. read more

Decent selection, but prices are really on the high side especially on staples like milk, eggs, cereal. Worst department is the fruit department. They keep overripe and rotting produce for sale way past when they should trash them. I handled more than a few mushy peaches and moldy oranges at this albertsons. read more

Most markets don't have employees cleaning the carts anymore but thanks for continuing that. More importantly, my husband accidentally dropped his wallet outside, but one of the employees picked it up and kept it safe for us. The staff always takes their time like they don't have a line out the door. Consistency my friends. Come on great and friendly staff. Just need to be a little faster. I shop here often since it is the best grocery store in my area of Fullerton. This location is clean, updated, and well stocked. The staff is great, they are hardworking and friendly. For the most part they carry a wide variety of items, much more than your typical grocery store. Meat cutters are first rate. They always have a supply of soup bones that I can give my dog. If you're in a rush, and you need to grab a quality cup of coffee, they have a Starbucks in front. In my opinion this place only has two weaknesses. The meat counter selection is limited, they're lacking packaged fresh seafood options. The other weakness being their organic fruit/veggie selection is slim as well. read more

I prefer Albertson's over all other stores however After a long hard day at work I just want to pick up some groceries cash in your lottery ticket and the manager tells you he's too busy still with lottery there is only three checkout stands open with signs on all three I don't think I'll be coming to sis Albertson's anymore read more

Went here at about 4pm on a Tuesday to do some recycling... went inside to redeem my ticket and 3 checkstand lights were on even though one had a sign that said closed. The ones that were actually open had people with full carts and I just had my tickets. I saw someone helping someone at the service desk and decided to go there, but if I had known Emily was having a bad day, I would have waited in the checkout lines. She even tried shooing me back to the checkout lines and I was going to go (reluctantly), but then she said she would just help me there. She then said, "Usually no one is standing here".... like as if I shouldn't have expected her to help me. So since she wanted to have such an attitude I let her know that the two lines that were actually open had people with a lot of things and that checkstand five was on but it wasn't actually open. This was my first time at this location and I would never go back based on this one experience because she's probably a shift lead or manager of some sort and if she's in a bad attitude the people under her are going to be in a bad attitude and I'm not trying to deal with that. read more

Great Albertsons, I've been coming here for many years as a regular with friends and family. Great products, great prices, great area, not so great employees. My friend and I headed down to Albertsons one evening to grab a cup of vanilla icecream. We paid at the self-service counter, grabbed spoons from the starbucks inside, and went on our way. Then as we exited the store and went out onto the lot (right in front of the adjacent barbershop), I heard a "Hey guys!", and I turned around to see an employee jogging out to us. She asked "Did you guys buy those icecreams?" and knowing what was about to happen, I simply replied "yupp". She asked if she could see our receipts, but we threw them in the small trash bins they have at both entrances. As I told her that we threw them in the trash, she went back briefly and told one of the cashiers to bring I believe the manager. She then asked my friend and I which trash bin we threw our receipts into, and asked us to dig them out. At this point I was furious, but not wanting to escalate things any further, I did it anyways since the bin was quite full and the receipts were right on top anyways. I handed them to the employee and she snatched them out of my hands as she carefully scrutinized the receipts. Then, she told us in an annoyed voice, "Okay, next time, I need you guys to leave your backpacks at the front of the store before you enter, and don't throw your receipts away.", then she went back inside without any form of apology as if we were actual thieves. I mean, since when did people with backpacks automatically become thieves? Now, there will be those of you who say "you should've kept your receipts", but know that we threw them away after we fully exited the store. And yeah, I applaud the employee for doing her job of preventing thievery. But after making us take our receipts out of the bin and lecturing us to leave our bags with that tone after we've justified ourselves? I cannot condone for such an attitude. A simple "Sorry guys" would've sufficed. Yet, the very fact that she had the audacity to have us dig through the trash, then proceed to treat us as if we actually stole something without an apology upset me the most. Sorry Ms. Albertsons employee, but it looks like you got the wrong people today. I hope you find someone else to add to your tally of kills, you'll probably get a raise for it. read more

I like this Albertsons for several reasons. Its fully stock all the time, safe shopping in this plaza, and there are many open check stands so lines move fast. There is a Starbucks inside also right when you enter and its good see it all in one place. Parking lot is big too. Prices for fruits and veggies are not competitive enough I think and cheaper could be find elsewhere. read more

The bakery is legit... I came in 2 days before my daughter's 1st bday in need of a custom cake, and they were happy to oblige. Picked up my cake, it was ready to go when I got there. The only piece of negative feedback I have for this location is that the bakery doesn't have a payment register, so I had to go to the checkout, after I went to to the bakery to get the receipt, then go back to the bakery to pick up the cakes. Kind of annoying, but overall I would deal with them again. read more

I go here all the time to buy groceries and sometimes they include alcoholic beverages. My ID expired on 2/14/21 and I had a ordered a new one they the DMV website that's being mailed out. I know with the pandemic we have 6 months to get new ID's. I had literally bought alcohol at this Albertsons with an expired ID (maybe 1 week expired at most) and they always accepted it. Today they didn't which is totally understandable but the same guy who denied me said sorry it's expired and that he would never sell alcohol to an expired ID but literally a night ago he sold it to me. I get times are tough with the pandemic and rules are changing all the time but he had such rude costumer service saying he would never sell alcoholic beverages with an ID that was 13 days expired but literally sold it to me 2 days ago I will make sure to report them for selling alcohol like that since they cannot decide which rules they want to follow. read more

I came here for gas and went in to ask for change. The lady wasn't very nice about it. She said "we don't have any, sorry" but she didn't mean it because she then asked me in a not-so-friendly tone , "why do you need it?" I told her I just need some quarters. She pauses and then said "no we don't have any." Why even ask me why I need change if you're just going to say no again? A gas station that doesn't have change? Why don't you just say you're not allowed to give out change? Just tell me the truth! Anyways, I still thank her for being "helpful" even though she wasn't... not friendly + bad service. read more

This store has been remodeled into quite the hot mess. The produce section has been flipped and the whole store feels twice as small, but the prices have mysteriously gone up even higher. What a HORRIBLE redesign :-( read more

Three times and they strike out. I shop at Albertson's often, and I live in between this one, and the one in Placentia. Yesterday I shopped at this particular store for the last time. I have had mold in my food from here three times now, and that is really unacceptable. I liked coming here because they have more asian items, like drinks, but it is not worth getting moldy food. Yesterday i bought some precooked ravioli from the chilled section, went home, opened the container, and it was filled with smelly green mold. That is so gross! And this is not the first time this has happened. I don't know if it is because they alter the use by dates, or if they don't keep them refrigerated in the back of the store or what, but this is the ONLY store I have been to that has this issue. And, its not like its an odd item, not often purchased item! Also, at Halloween, they had a huge pumpkin in the front of the store that was moldy! Who does that??!!! I don't know what's up with this location being such short staffed. Usually only 2 lines open with tons of customers. Then a cashier opens up a lane, I'm clearly next in line and people in back of me were taken first. The cashiers need to learn to take the next customer when opening up their register, not whoever can race the fastest into their line! ...But I can say that they did return with the self check outs. So that's a plus. read more

I come here on a weekly basis because it's close to home and it's on the way home from work. Prices aren't the cheapest but I don't mind because it's clean, well stocked, have fast check-outs, and helpful associates. And since this is in the suburbs, there's no crazies or a whole lot of beggars or solicitors in front. read more

I like this better then the other albertsons in Buena Park. Good selection and big store. They have a full butcher and hot meal selection. Also, inside there is a small sushi place where they make fresh rolls in the morning and afternoon each day! read more

Warning, there is an extremely rude employee who works at this location. I was being dropped off while pulling up to the front, bc the pharmacy was about to close. She screamed at me that I couldn't park in the fire lane, which I wasn't parking I was being dropped off. I pulled forward and my husband takes the car and moves it and she yells at me again, which I explained I am being dropped off and she rolls her eyes and walks away. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I cannot believe these are the type of people they are hiring. I will never return here ever again. read more

Wow. Hundreds of stores for many years I've been to with my dog riding in the cart. Never been an issue. Even get treats or compliments on how cute she is from other grocery stores. NOT HERE. A very rude and abrupt stock man demanded that I remove the dog immediately. Overstepped his role and pissed off a customer. 2018. Dogs get brought to stores. Get used to it. Can't wait to bring her back to ride in the cart again. I encourage everyone reading this to BRING your service animal to this Afternoons. Stopped by the deli to pick up a rotisserie chicken and some wings, and I can't say I was too disappointed because my expectations were pretty low to begin with. Rotisserie was bland and wings were salty. I bought a roll of fresh bread and it was good. Not sure if I'd get either chicken item again though. read more

about 5-8 years ago, I would of said this Alberston was so so. Sometimes awful. But this past weekend I realized the manager is doing a very good job making some changes. When I arrived there were plenty of helpful staff (and when I say helpful, I mean they had eye contact, said hello and asked if they can help me with anything). Deli was great. The service was friendly, and deli was fresh. The help yourself bar was stocked with delicious chicken wings and other goodies.They all looked perfectly displayed and ready for sale. read more

The day before Thanksgiving, I had walked no further than 4 feet (if that) in the front down, when I slipped and fell from water on their floor. I sat for over 10 minutes WAITING for a manager to come to me after an employee brought me a chair. None did. I had to go find one. Nicola is a RAGING UNCARING BITCH, who refused for me to seek medical attention or give me the name and number of their district manager. Then the "General Manger" Jesus Sanchez was an even BIGGER DOUCHE. I ended up calling their DISTRICT MANAGER. I had to go on my own and seek medical attention and use MY INSURANCE to pay for it. BTW, I have a broken shin and big toe. 6 days later I have STILL NOT heard from their "risk management department" So it looks like I will be suing them read more
