Not a fan of this chain because the prices are sky high. I hate going into these chain grocers when Walmart/winco et el either doesn't stock the product or is out of stock cuz these expensive stores (or Ralph's,Vons albertonsc ect always have it at almost double the price unless it happens to be on sale that day . Every time I go inside this one it's like a ghost town. It never recovered from the grocery strike years ago. Long time employees left or transferred and many of the ones they have now are not friendly and or lazy. So I know Vons just bought them or vice versa. Prices are still high for the essentials so I still avoid it but my mom wanted some of their fried chicken. Now they can fry some chicken I'll give them that . It's seasoned well and juicy . But of course the price was 7.99 for 8 pieces when just the other day at a Vegas location we stopped at it was 5.99 for the same thing huh. So then I stopped by the chopped fruit area and shockingly their fruit bowls are cheaper than Vons and even Walmart market across the street. I got pineapple and it was just how I like it sweet and ripe no hard middle pieces to stretch the product like some stores do . I wouldn't do my regular shopping here I mean it's like Whole Foods red headed step brother price wise. But for specific items and the occasional deal it's aiight. read more

I went shopping for the first time at this Albertsons store (#3554). We were helped by Jose. Great, helpful attitude! We first met him as we walked into the store. He greeted us and asked us if we needed any help, which he gave us. Later, we happened to find him again to ask about another item. He not only walked us to the exact spot that we were looking for, he actually took the time to help us look for our item! We will be back! read more

This is the grocery store that has always been sticking around, reliable to go to during late hours, and like mentioned before, I can't go to another place but need to buy something quickly. They pretty much have everything you need, but I'm not a fan of their organization. I was a big fan of Albertsons but they closed most of them around me-the one in Walnut and Rowland Heights, I went to the Diamond Bar store for specials we seen on line, the kids accidentally threw away the weekly paper- so no problem I'll do the on line thing-MISTAKE! There was shrimp on sale so I grabbed 3-2 pound bags- the girl at the meat department told me that they would change the price at the cash register--WRONG!!! They didn't want to honor the add on line because apparently it was a different region ???? Wth! The rude girl at the cash register called the supervisor and she was no help--BTW- there was another customer in another register arguing about the same issue!!!! I left my groceries and went to Sprouts! Guess what?? The same shrimp was cheaper along with the rest of the groceries I left at Albertsons and BTW they also Make great sandwiches! Albertsons keeps there lousy service and they will be like the rest in the are locked up and boarded windows! The store is nice and clean. It became my alternative when the Ralph's across the street closed down. (I know that this is an Albertson's review, but I do miss Ralph's) The prices here are higher than they need to be. Who pays 5 dollars for a box of cereal. This is definitely one of my favorite grocery stores in diamond Bar. They constantly have coupon deals mailed with their ads to my apartment and they have different Fab5 deals every week, where the price is lower if you buy 5 of the items that are a part of the deal. I always end up buying a cart load of items each week for such a good price.. usually a full cart load of items costs me about $20-30 which is an extremely cheap price for all the items that I'm getting. I definitely love shopping here and looking forward to see what their deals and coupons for each week are. read more

Have shopped here for years, but ever since the Covid shutdown in March store shelves are not well stocked. It's September now and for months every trip, no matter the day of the week, there are wide empty spots on shelves and no one restocking. Other supermarkets are back up to speed. This Albertsons is always nice and with a friendly staff. If you ask for some product, the associate will take you there and make sure that is what you are looking for, unlike other markets where they just tell you the isle number or pointed the isle. Love how clean and organize always is. Also the cashier, Suzie B. Is always so happy to see you and greets you and makes sure to make you feels welcomed. I am so impress with the bakery department! My daughter wanted a unicorn cake for her birthday but I just couldn't see myself spending $80 plus on a cake for 7 people. I went to Albertsons and the employee helped me order a 3 tier 5" cake. I was able to choose between white or chocolate cake, butter or whip frosting and the filling. I chose white cake with fresh strawberries and strawberry glaze and a whip frosting, which was delicious. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and the decorator outdid herself with the design. They were able to decorate everything that was in frosting. Only thing is they don't do fondant, which was fine as that was the easy part for me. I think it's a great cake for $14. Went to the store and received really bad service from an employee. There used to be a lady who was very friendly and gave me recipes. She is now in crutches by the door. Most of the cashiers that work there are nice and very friendly, but the other night when I was there, I had the misfortune of having MARY as my cashier. After she rang up my groceries that totaled $75.56, I handed her a 100 dollar bill and exactly 56 cents. I was surprised to hear change dropping in the coin dispenser, so I brought it to her attention and reminded her that I gave her 56 cents she agreed and said, "oh, did it give you change?" I proceeded to give her back the change and she handed me $24, so I asked her, very nicely, "shouldn't that be $25?" She said, very rudely "no, I'll show you" then she proceeded to show me the receipt, and that's when she realized she had entered $100.06 instead of $100.56, so she went to her drawer and (after much thought) handed me $25 and said (very condescending) "there, is that right?" I understand everybody makes mistakes from time to time, I have no problem with that, but when you make a mistake, you should own up to it. She never admitted to the mistake, and most importantly, she never apologized for it. read more

I literally love to come here and buy the sushi not only because it is good but because every time I do there's this bag boy that ALWAYS makes a unnecessary comment about how it's weird or not that good. It trips me out that every single time he is the bag boy he makes a comment I'm on the 3rd time right now and counting haha. Amazes me that he literally can not keep his mouth shut. I've seen this grocery store transform over the years. I walked in recently to pick up some candles for a cake and noticed how modern and clean it is now! It definitely looks upscale. I have been coming to this Albertson's since as far back as I could remember. The cleanliness of the store and the availability of regular stocked products are always kept up and always full. The customer service however, always varies from below average, good and excellent. Today however, was really below average. For me, I like to plan my day(s) out if I know it's going to be busy, so I have time for everything and all that needs to get done can get done. I called a couple local grocery stores in the morning prior to calling Albertson's and asked the gentleman who picked up the phone if they carry the Cheesecake Factory Brand cheesecake. He asks me what kind, and I say any flavor as long as it's cheesecake and the brand is Cheesecake Factory. He stops to think for a second, and then confirms they have it. I get to Albertson's and try to find it and it's not there. I ask a person who works there for the cheesecake and confirms it wasn't in the frozen section, but in the bakery/deli section in the coolers. I go to the section and look for it there as well and I can't find it. The lady who works at the bakery confirms that they don't sell the brand. I end up getting a Sarah Lee frozen cheesecake in the end. The level of customer service that was given to me over the phone and in the store was WAY BELOW AVERAGE. I don't understand why the person who answered the phone couldn't take a minute or two and do what they are paid to do, offer customer service. The guy in the store seemed to be very convincing as well because he pointed me in the bakery direction, told me where to look, and if I couldn't find it, I could ask the woman he pointed to me who works in that department. I guess next time I'll be asking for a name of the person who gives me information over the phone to ensure they become responsible for what information they give. In the end, it comes down to the saying, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself." read more

This Albertsons has gone downhill. Twice they ruined a birthday cake this month, whomever is in charge of decorating needs to be letgo! They don't know what they are doing.Today my husband rings home my cake and it's all melts and one of the ugly roses fell off. The roses petals were miss shapen and cracked. I sliced into the cake and cracked half way through and I took it out again later and it cracked another huge hunk off. I'm not buying any more money or wasting my time for piss poor quality. They ripped me off two times. The first cake the wrote happy birthday so high that it touched the lid smashed it and when we took the lid off it ripped off the frosting and ruined the cake . This happened all in September 8 and today The baker acts like an unhappy burned out employee. She needs a serious attitude change. God forbid she act happy to see customers. I can't go back and risk another birthday ring ruined. This was the bad icing on the cake that made me break down and cry. This was the one thing I was looking forward to. read more

This review is for the flower department. I rushed to this store early in the morning on Mother's Day scrambling to find a nice bouquet. (After being disappointed with the sad selection at the flower shop down the street) They had a large variety of flowers, but it seemed like the best ones were already bought. I finally found a decent bouquet of pink roses and other mixed flowers. It was just wrapped in plastic and I knew I wouldn't have time to prep it. The florist was obviously busy running around cherry picking different flowers and creating multiple bouquets that were probably pre ordered. (Oops. I'm such a procrastinator) A little embarrassed to interrupt her, I asked if she might have time to put my roses in a vase. She was very sweet and said yes it would be ready in about 10 minutes. I watched her prep it, and although she was very busy she really took her time to go above and beyond. She opened up the roses, trimmed the stems, added a few other complimentary flowers, and attached a bow. So impressed! I usually go to local flower shops and pay double the price. And this bouquet topped them all! So beautiful and tasteful. My mother-in-law loved it. Thank you so much! Really appreciated the wonderful customer service. Will definitely be back!! read more

I can see how this grocery store can have such high ratings! With people like Norma working there, it's no wonder. Purchased some dry chicken strips at another Albertson's on a whim. Realized I had in fact purchased a bag of rocks. The "chicken" strips were inedible. No joke. It was cardboard, battered and deep fried. I was running errands and had to get something quick, don't judge. Drove by this Albertson's and Norma was kind enough to provide a full refund, even though I didn't buy them at this location. THAT right there folks is customer service. I didn't even care about the $5 but it was the principle of the matter. Because of those rotten chicken strips, I had to make 3 extra stops and ended up being late to my appointment. UGH! Never again! But I don't know... Norma kinda changed my view about Albertsons. This Diamond Bar location must have had a visit from "The Suits" and who knows what these "experts" put them through. Prior months employees smiled and were friendly. Now they smile, but there is sadness in their eyes. A long-time excellent checker, Suzi, has been missing for several months with the story "she'll be back soon". Suzi probably got out while the gettin' was good. I wish "The Suits" would leave well enough alone and let the actual employees run their own store. I may check out Ralphs in the future. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I have been coming to this store (not pharmacy) for over 6 years. The staff has always been amazing. Tonight, the pharmacist, humiliated me. I had oral surgery today. 16 teeth were worked on, and I spent a total of 5 hours in the chair. Needless to say, I'm in pain. So I went to Albertsons to fill my prescription for Norco. I don't have any issue revealing that because it's the entire basis for my complaint. The prescription was for 12 pills/7.5 mg. This is a rather small amount and dosage. My primary care provider prescribes me a different pain medication for nerve pain in my foot, which I take "as needed." It's a different medication and a different dosage. My dentist and I discussed this, and decided a different medication with a lower dosage would be best for my teeth, hence the prescription I had filled this evening. When I went to pick up my medication tonight, the pharmacist said " the system shows you have filled X medication and a different pharmacy this month. " I said, "yes that's correct. I take that medication for nerve pain in my foot on an as-needed basis, and I don't want to take that high of a dosage and that type of medication for my teeth. I know that I can't take them together. My dentist and I discussed it." Now I understand the reason for her concern and making the initial statement, but she went about it all wrong and my explanation should have been enough. She went on to further humilate me. "Well I'm just checking because that's also a pain medication. " She looked me up and down. I explained a second time that the other medication is taken for nerve pain and I would prefer not to take that high of a dose for my current treatment, and that my dentist was aware. She stared at me, and then walked away without saying a word after that. She didn't thank me or respond to me at all, other than the judgemental glare. I am fully aware that there are people out there that have abused pain medication and that this puts fear into pharmacists in terms of liability, etc. However, I had a valid prescription with a phone number and diagnosis. If you wish to ease your concerns, call! Call my doctor. They are the ones treating me. Not you! If you aren't comfortable filing it, DON'T! I would understand. But do not scold me, publicly humiliate me or judge me. If you must judge me, do so quietly. Don't discuss my personal information in front of customers and staff. Also, I'm here because I'm in pain. I'm a customer. The fact that I have a prescription for pain medication doesn't make me a drug addict or give you the right to be rude to me. I'm a customer. You should have called me over for a private consult, discussed this with me privately, made a decision to fill or not to fill, then wished me a good night. You humiliated me tonight. This location is really frustrating. I called Albertsons when I was still 15 minutes away and asked if they have lamb chops. She says they do and the butcher is cutting them so it'll be a few minutes. I figure fine, I won't be there for 15 minutes and even if I have to wait a bit, no big deal. I get there, shop for everything I need and ask again about the lamb chops. She says, he's still cutting them. I wait another 20 minutes and and ask yet again. She tells me he is now other meat that's on the saw KNOWING IM WAITING and have been waiting for well over 40 minutes now. Beyond that, she tells me she can't even tell me how long it'll be. So of course after I do all my shopping for what I needed for the lamb chops I get frustrated and leave. What else can I do? I called ahead, I waited 40 minutes, and I still can't get what I came for even though it's available?? It's obnoxious and terrible customer service. read more

There's something awesome about this albertsons-- I have no idea why but it is SO clean and the produce is always fresh. Like seriously the produce aisle looks straight up pristine at all hours of the day. All the employees are super helpful here. This is now my go-to (used to spend way more $$ at trader joes) for fruits and veggies. Also I like the fresh cut watermelon here but it sells out quicker than other places :) this is literally the best supermarket in diamond bar. read more
