This was a decent store, its a shame that it's closing because it's technically more closer to where I live. This store had a decent selection of produce and very neat packaging, I am sad to see all those teenagers getting laid off; hopefully they can find somewhere else to work. I enjoyed coming here it was very peaceful and I was also able to find a lot of hygiene products for sell during its closing session. Dear Albertsons Corporate Staff and CEO, Help! love shopping at this Albertsons but your company is closing this Foothill store! Why? It's so convenient to get to for me since it's so close. Many seniors shop at that store and I see them all the time. It's hard for many of them to drive much further too. Plus, I go to the US bank in that store often. One of the clerks at that bank is Ariel. She's always so nice and helpful. But, she said she's being laid off! What a terrible loss to your stores! Such nice, patient bank people are not that common at all! Even when I don't know how to do something, Ariel goes out of her way to help and explain things to me. I'm bad at doing banking things since I have dyslexia. Ariel never minds when I have trouble and doesn't rush me. She always helps me with a bright, cheerful smile on her face! And this is a friendly store anyway. The other tellers are considerate too. And the redhaired manager is very nice. I forgot her name. Now, I won't get the kindly, considerate, helpful, caring service that is so rare these days from Ariel! I know others will be sad as well. In addition, Ariel is so good at what she does! Now, you're taking her job from her! What a shame! And all those others losing their jobs! Terrible! I actually, shop at Albertsons more often because that US bank is there. And friendly people. This place was disappointing. My mom went here while visiting to pick us up some Italian lunch meats and politely made some simple requests at the deli. Well, the man working there became disgruntled and straight up told her he "didn't know anything about salami" and proceeded to grouchily pass her some of the worst cut lunch meats we've seen in awhile. Like, I get it - it's a grind but really? You literally work at the deli. Still, they had most of what we were looking for and the rest of the store was okay, so I'm going with 3-stars. read more

I've purchased 5 items in the last year that were expired but still on the shelf weeks after. If management were to check their family sized orange chicken by signature select brand, they'd see that those boxes expired in early August. There's a couple on the shelf right now 8/23/2024. Bought chick fil a sauce that was already open. Expired half and half. Grapes with tiny dead fly carcasses on them. On my birthday last year my cake wasn't done when i went to go pick up and they couldn't find someone to ice it. This place is losing it. read more

I hate it here. Every time I'm just like, eh. I'll give it another shot, it bites me in the ass. The entire shopping center is shady, and the manager does nothing when you ask them to do anything about the creeps harassing the customers. Don't come here if you dislike being pestered for money, random adult men following you to your car trying to sell a candy bar, or intoxicated dudes hunched over in the middle of the parking lot and holding up traffic. This Albertsons feels run down. Looks completely outdated. Bathrooms are always gross. No self check out. Drive the extra two miles and visit the Albertsons on foothill. I recently visited the Starbucks located inside the Albertsons on Ontario Ave. Corona. While shopping inside the store, it wasn't too long before the aroma of fresh brewed coffee caught my attention and drew me to the counter. While waiting to place my order, I noticed that the three Barista's engaged each customer in conversation and seemed to know everyone they served. It kinda made me feel like I was watching the TV show "Friends" It was inviting and made me feel welcomed. It was nice to watch people who appeared to enjoy what they were doing and brightening their customers day at the same time. I don't even remember what I ordered, but when I left, I know my take on the day had also improved and glad that I stopped by. Thankfully they all were wearing name badges that made thanking them so much easier. This review is for the Savon Pharmacy located inside the Albertsons. Today at approximately 10:15am I was at the pharmacy to pick up my moms prescription. The only pharmacist working was Lily. She was juggling answering phones, giving customers their prescriptions and administering Covid booster shots. I was literally in awe how she managed to do all that with a smile on her face. This is a reviews of the Sav-On Pharmacy inside of Albertson's. I had an appointment for a COVID-19 booster shot and arrived 25 minutes early. I had already completed all of the forms online and brought them with me, so was ready for a quick process. When I arrived, there was no obvious check-in spot, so I waited at the prescription drop-off area. There was one person being helped and I was first in line. 15 minutes went by without them finishing with the person ahead of me. I stepped out of line when I saw someone else who was actually administering the shots and told her that I was just there to check-in for my appointment. She somewhat rudely sent me back to the line I had just stepped out of. I was now getting close to my appointment time. When I finally made it to the window, I told the pharmacist (who at that point had stepped up to help at the window) that I had everything I needed and was just there to check in. She was snippy and said somewhat curtly, "Everyone is just here to check in". (Thus clearly wasn't the case - the person ahead of me had spent 15 minutes+ at the window before me.) On the plus side, the person administering the shots who had been curt before was nice as I received the shot. This is truly a mixed review. 3/5 seems fair. read more

This Albertsons is always my go-to store to shop for all my necessities, they always have the best deals going on. But today on January 28th 2018 I was shopping around for butter and saw that they were selling already expired products that should be taken off the shelves.(The butter expired January 24th) After seeing this i am going to be more aware about looking at expiration labels on their products from now on. Another reason i did not give this store 5 stars would be because of the middle-aged blonde lady in the meat department in the back. I have tried asking her questions about meat at least 4-5 times since I've been shopping at this location the past year and a half, and she is ALWAYS so snooty. I don't know if she's racist or just an ass, but i wish they would get someone nicer in there to help out in the back. read more

The Store Clerk was really nice to do an inventory check over the phone. Sure enough the store had it in stock. That made my night! One of the worst grocery stores I've ever been in! Their ad comes out on Wednesday Thursday the day after the ad comes out all the ice cream that's on advertisement and other items as well are wiped out. I worked at a grocery store back in the day and we always had to keep the ad items filled horrible managing horrible I will not be back I will go to Vons down the street. There are only two checkers and one guy in the bakery, and the guy in the bakery said it wasn't his job to go look in the freezer for ice cream that's on sale. I have lived in the area since before the Albertson's on Ontario and Rimpau was built. I have seen a steady decline in the recent year spanning from the removal from self check out, random stacked grocery suggestions as soon as you come in the door, too long lines with not enough cashiers and lots noticeable trash in the parking lots. Since when did this location become the 'ghetto' Albertsons in Corona? The only consistent nice thing about this location is the Starbucks, their staff and the cashiers who have to deal with ridiculous lines that some patrons take their frustrations about the long lines out on them. The surrounding community is very well maintained, Albertson's should take a page from how nice the community is up-kept and do the same. OH!!! One more thing... There is a divider bar between check stands that has the top bar missing. I was checking out, leaned back and almost fell!!! I am certain the store manager knows about this issue and should not have that lane opened until it is fixed. I shop at this Albertsons all the time, it is close to my home and I love that it has everything I need. Today, I had a not so great experience. I witnessed one of the managers named Martha talking very rudely to one her younger employees it was borderline bulling. I was very shocked that a (so called) manager would act in this manner not only to a young girl, but in front of guests checking out. I was uncomfortable and very upset. This isn't the first time I've seen this women Martha talk badly to her employees, she does it all the times and does it in front of everyone. It is not manager material and bullying is not tolerated especially to a young girl who I've seen work very hard every time I shop there. It is disgusting behavior and makes me not want to shop there. Sorry Martha; do better. Be more professional, and nicer to your employees. read more

Walking in for the first time at the Ontario Ave location in Corona, California, I couldn't help but notice the pungent odor of rotten fish which only got stronger the closer I got to the seafood/deli department. I wanted to buy some seafood but the smell was so bad I didn't feel comfortable doing so. I walked down to the meat section to see what they had and much of it looked like it was old and past its sell by date. I left without purchasing any meat either. The manager needs to take a walk around the store and get these things corrected. The only thing I would trust purchasing from this location is prepackaged goods and non-perishables. The past two times I've been here, something had happened. I had a guy following me around the store. I purposely got into line and then I mentioned "I forgot something" and got out of line and of course he got out of line too. So I knew that he was following me. I told the checker that I was uncomfortable and asked if someone could walk me out. She yelled to another employee and stated "can you walk this girl out please? She said a man is following her in here". It made it so much more uncomfortable. The last time I went here was last night. The checker Reynold asked if something was mine and I stated no that it might have been the elderly man who was in front of us. Reynold stated "yeah probably", I asked if he wanted to get the elderly man really quick before checking out my stuff and he stated "nah, he's over there" and started to scan my items. I stated "that's kinda rude" and he replied "yeah I know". I then turned around to see if I can get him to let him know that he was missing an item but he was almost out of the door. I would be so upset if I was an elderly person and the checker forgot to scan something. I'm not sure if the management changed, but it seems to have gone downhill with customer service. read more

Really.. Albertsons? I feel kind of weird writing a review on Albertsons, but after coming here last week, I felt like this place deserved one. After days of craving some home made macaroni and cheese, I finally caved into making it. I came here while waiting for my brother to finish his workout at the nearby LA Fitness. Since this was the closest grocery store by LA Fitness, I stopped here first. (I normally don't go here, since Vons is a lot closer to my house.) When you first walk in, you are greeted by a small Starbucks to your front, with the bank to the right. I came in and all I needed was some sharp cheddar, sour cream, elbow pasta, and cottage cheese. I made my way through the organized, clean aisles and got all my items. Since everything branded "Albertsons" is a lot cheaper, I stuck with those items to stay frugal. I could have saved more if I had an Albertsons card, but I was too lazy to sign up for one. I also made sure my items were mostly "Low Fat" "Reduced Fat" and/or "Whole Wheat" to be a little healthy, (even though everything combined WILL be fatty any way. Cut me some slack, I just came from the gym.) So I make my way through and got in the "10 or less Item" lane and was greeted by a nice cashier with a smile. And although she didn't do much, I still say it was good service. Any one who can work with a good smile and get the job done is always good. And now to why I really wrote this review. While not my favorite place to get groceries, the location is great so I stop in every so often. Service is nice, but there are never enough registers open, usually a bit of a wait to check out. The store is older and a bit dim, but clean, well kept and well stocked. They have a Starbucks which is always out of something I want, not good. Prices are all over the place, but if you shop the specials it's fine. Tons of easy parking out front. read more

Another birthday ruined by a bad cake. My husband loves their cakes so we usually buy a discounted cake almost every week, but I'm done buying them for birthdays. First of all, they are always out of the decorations we want for the cake. No one ever offers to order them, even when the cake is ordered a week or more in advance, so I don't think that's an option. What's the point of having this thick book of cake decorations when we have to pick out 3rd or 4th choice because the ones we really wanted weren't available. Rather than try to get the monster trucks we wanted, we were told we could bring our own and they would decorate it. A discount wasn't offered for that option so we didn't take it. I don't want to haggle cake prices when you don't have the right decorations. I don't know what's going on with the buttercream, but it's not good when a freshly made cake is cracking with every cut because it's so hard. A $40 cake shouldn't be of such poor quality. According to their corporate office, they recently changed their vendor so that explains the rock-hard icing. After a few hours in the fridge, the coloring in the icing started pooling on top of the cake so I definitely do not recommend putting the cake in the fridge until the party starts! My husband will probably continue to buy cakes here but I'm done buying birthday cakes here. It's so embarrassing and frustrating to pay good money for such a poor quality cake. I will say though, that the cake was beautifully decorated before the color pooling issue. read more

This is my local Albertsons. Nothing out of the ordinary. I'll only go here when I need to get in and out quickly and don't want to deal with the crowds at Walmart or if I need to pick up a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Although, I usually go during off hours and it's not uncommon for only one cashier to be open and it taking forever anyways when I just wanted a single bottle of orange juice or something like that. It is a little annoying that the locked case of alcohol is so far from the cashiers. One time I wanted to purchase a bottle of Buchanan's. The cashier sent a bag boy over to get what I wanted. A couple of minutes later, he comes back asking which bottle of Buchanan's I wanted (even though I had specified exactly what I wanted). He then had to run back over and grab it all the while I have a line of 5+ people waiting on me. read more

If I could give this Albertsons store 100 stars I would. I've never experienced anything like it before. The store, the store manager and everyone that works there make it a joy to shop at this store. They look out for their customers. If they are filing a shelf or what ever it is they are doing they are constantly aware of there customers and always asks if they can help ( they stop what they are doing, listen to you, don't just tell you where it is but take you there.) I recently shopped at Albertsons a couple days ago and I was disappointed with the manger service. She was very rude and did not help at all. This use to be one of my favorite grocery places to go to with my kids. But ever since that Manger Martha has been running the store I can say I won't be returning to this store until I see improvement with the mangers attitude towards customers and employees. I have enjoyed coming in to this Albertson's for about 5 years, and have seen all the changes of management and staff. The staff that have remained with your company are great and always very helpful. The only complaint that needs to be addressed is your Starbucks management and new staff that have been acquired. POOR Service and Bad Attitudes. So disappointing as your New Manager who started as a Barista was pleasant and friendly at one point, but now is way over her head. If you continue to allow this type of attitude to paying and regular customers, then you will continue to lose more customers. These issues have been addressed numerous times and still have not been resolved, so this will need to be taken up with Starbucks Management to see if this is how they represent their company, which I believe is not. read more

Today I went to my local Albertsons, to pickup a couple of items. I was ready to check out. First off, I was not greeted by the checker "Daniel". He was busy chatting with the box girl. He was inquiring about a recent death in her family. She spoke about the funeral in Utah of her Great Grandfather. He looked disgusted and said, "are you Half white". She looked shocked and said "No No my grandfather moved there after he retired ". Almost apologizing for where her grandfather lived and his nationality. I was taken back and disgusted by the conversation. I am part Spanish and my maiden name is Atencio. This is an unacceptable conversation. I just couldn't let this go.
