The store was clean and unlike all the other stores they only had one set of doors open that alone could be a fire hazard but anyway so I was looking for an item so whenI asked this man working over by the refrigerated items he bluntly said the aisle like I'm sorry I asked you a question and continued with his work. I went to pick up a cake that my wife had purchased for my sons birthday. She picked this particular location because one of the employees is my sons baseball coach and she was more then happy to help us out. My wife said not only was she accommodating but she even spent about 10 minutes showing me the cake when I arrived to get it. I never write reviews but I was deeply disturbed by the treatment I watched transpire amongst the women working and the bakery manager who seemed to appear almost mad when anyone asked for her help. My sons baseball coach (Megan) is one of the nicest people my wife and I have ever met. She not only helped us but went above and beyond to bring the cake out and show us. I was told by my wife that his baseball coach did complain that she was being harassed and bullied by this manager which is too bad because she is a single mother with a child. The cake was good and we were happy with the purchase itself. However Albertsons do better and treat your employees better. I hope this nice young lady gets the recognition she deserves as she was the only one who even asked if I needed help when three other people were just standing around doing nothing. She was the hardest working one. This individual also is friends with a lot of people in this community and her parents are both pillars of it so it is too bad as well as I said they aren't treating her or anyone else better. My wife and I have chosen never to visit this location again. I love Albertsons but treat your employees better. read more

Tonight, my muffins and bread were squashed because they put the yogurt on top of it and they put the chicken (which was in a clear plastic bag) in upside down, which could have resulted in chicken juice EVERYWHERE! I have been going to this location before it was Albertson's - it use to be Luckys market. So 30 plus years ....... Albertsons happened to be open last night on Christmas Eve - posted hours stated they closed at 11 pm, Granted I usually do not go to the store on Christmas Eve due to the fact that I'm usually done buying . We had a change in plan for Christmas dinner and I needed to pick up some more ribeye steaks. Looking in the meat section I found three of what I needed but decided to go to the meat counter to look for more (9:30pm ). I couldn't even ask the guy behind the meat counter anything as he was throwing things around making it very unpleasant. I walked away and went back to the meat selection . He started complaining to someone about being at work. Stating he wanted to find out if Walmart was still open or stater brothers or any other store. On the way home I couldn't stop thinking how unpleasant that visit to Albertson's was. I have worked every holiday you can imagine as I used to work in a hospital. Sometimes we do things because we have to- and sometimes we do things because we want to. But I will tell you this - I never once had a patient seen another side of me when I was unhappy !! I visited Albertsons yesterday as i usually so on my lunch break. I went over to the deli section i was craving mashed potatoes. I was having a hard day at work I just wanted to have a nice peaceful experience shopping here as I usually do. I asked the lady over the counter if the mashed potatoes is warm? She laughed rudely and stated, "what so you think? it is in the refrigerator..." I stated okay and settled for the potato wedges. This is not an acceptable way to answer a customers question especially if I go there almost everyday at lunch. Around the time I went to this market location was around 1:32-1:45pm pacific standard time. The lady looked like the oldest lady I have seen at the deli. I will not be shopping anymore at Albertsons because I do not want to have a bad experience at lunch time after a stressful day and being a regular customer. read more

I just had the worst customer service ordering fried chicken ! I called in to place in order for my Christmas party today and spoke with a women name Evelyn. First and foremost she answered with attitude and said "service deli". I said hi may I place an order please and she says " what do you want" ? And I ordered my chicken she said and is that it with the worst attitude! She was not very polite and stood quiet. I mean as a former employee in the deli I know it's tuff and hard labor but this is the worst experience I had at Albertsons. I know the company would not accept this kind of behavior. I don't know how people can say this location is small & cramped! The first time I came in here we both got lost instantly! It's spread out and they have a good produce selection and also had certain items that I couldn't find in my usual location! I'm giving this location 5 stars for the amazing deli & wing bar section! I used to think the Collins location had the best wing bar but since I've discovered this location I'm hooked here! Every time that I've came in here the wings are piping hot & fresh no matter what day and time it is! Its very close to the entrance & self checkout! The deli is always friendly and helps us out! I'm a creature of habit. I've been to the same Ralphs for 12 years by my old place and I compare all grocery stores to that one. This Albertsons is very clean and has a pretty good deli and hot food section. They even have the self check out stands which I really appreciate. But I'm not really getting that homey feeling just yet and I've been coming here for a year already. Didn't realize there was an actual separate Yelp listing for the sushi counter in Albertsons! I love stopping by here when I need a quick on-the-go sushi fix. Pada is immediately on your left when you enter through the left Albertsons door. Sushi always seems fresh and is reasonable priced ($7.50 for CA roll with salmon on top; ~$4? I believe for CA roll). CA roll is good, a little too much rice for me, but other than that not bad at all! Giving it 4 stars for convenience and relatively good taste. I definitely recommend you check out Pada! read more

The customer service at this store is always excellent. The ladies working in the deli, the baggers, Starbucks employees and those at the cash register are always very friendly and welcoming. The last two times I visited the store, Beth Ann helped me at the register. This lady is just the sweetest and friendliest person! I notice how customers seek her out and feel the same way I do. Everyone loves their grandparents. Theres something soothing about visiting your old, loved ones now and again. You never have to call them to schedule a meeting. Just pop in when your around and theyre most likely always home watching TV or telling old war stories of their mother country. And there is something comforting knowing that you can just go to a place where there will always be loved ones there to embrace you. Well, Albertsons is my grandparents house but instead of old people, its filled with delicious friends that I want to eat. I find myself crusing around town late at night and always find myself drawn to the flourecent lights of this Alberstons. I know many of you know what I am talking about. The doors here always open for you, welcoming you to its many treasures inside. The quiet hum of the store is soothing and makes me feel safe. I love all supermarkets but this one is by far my favorite. Come here at night....you'll see why. read more

This is the best Albertson's Store! I am especially impressed with the produce department. I buy a variety of produce from this store and they always have everything I need in stock. Bought some flowers for my son's play today and the florist patently helped me out pick the right flowers wd matching colors but when I checked out, I had to go back to get some juice also So I paid and left my flowers on side counter. But then when I came back, my flowers laid on same spot untouched and this lady didn't even bother bagging my flowers even after having my own bag nor even offering to help bag!!! To give her a hint , I said "I guess I have to bag my own stuff here " and still effortlessly just stood there and said "well I didn't know how you want them bag. This is regarding Floral services that we used for a wedding: We called around a few florists and grocery stores in Brea, and most of the people sounded unprofessional on the phone. Then, we came across Blanca at Albertsons and knew right away that we could trust her with our flower order. Blanca helped us with our big wedding order and brought her creativity, professionalism, and experience to the table. The bouquets lacked a bit of volume (likely due to our budget and choice of pricier flowers), but the color scheme and arrangement were spot on, A++! I ordered 10 party platters from the deli for my mother's 85th birthday party and they were beyond excellent!!. The four sandwich platters had the freshest sandwiches piled high and garnished perfectly. My favorite was the Chicken, Tuna, Egg salad sandwich platter! A must have for your next party!! The vegetable, fruit and cheese platters were so beautifully done. Each piled high and tasty as ever. There was an abundance of food, but do you know what..? We had no leftovers. None. We got a cake and when we opened it more than the peekaboo shown at the store we saw it was sunken in and the name was off center. We added pop rocks and candles to try to spruce it up. When we called to let them know the cake was sunken the baker continually said she didn't know what that meant. It was a simple picture cake. What do we mean it's sunken? She refused to even listen or discount the cake. We even bought an additional cake while picking this up. Still no customer service assisting when we were not pleased with the cake we paid extra for. I have photos to show what "sunken cake" means! Total bummer! We are on year 23 of ordering from them. Sad! read more

The nicest person there is the store director. She is very pleasant and helpful. Everyone should be like her. She is the tall slender woman there. Most other workers are rude and not helpful. Every time I go into this store the cashiers never say hello to us. They don't even look at us. I don't know if it is a race issue since I go in to the store with my asian and latino friends. We had similar experience at Vons on State College and Brea Canyon. I don't know what is wrong with these places. read more

I grab sushi here about once a week. It's very, very good. The fish is fresh and the rice is on point. I've had high quality sushi more than enough times and this is not bad at all. The only thing I dont understand is the wasabi they include in the packages. It's horrible and it burns even with just a dab. I would rate it 5 stars if they had better tasting wasabi. read more

If you are considering ordering party trays or cakes/cupcakes, you will want to read this!! I was at the store & spoke to the bakery, they were professional & very helpful. I had some questions about frosting colors, which they kindly answered. I told them I would think about what color I wanted to do & order it online. They told me NOT to order it online because they don't always receive the orders. So I ordered my cupcakes with them. The deli counter was busy so I thought I would come back to order my party trays. Well I ran out of time so I thought I would call & place my order with them. I called later & no one at the deli was picking up. I tried numerous times getting through but my call kept getting returned to the operator. I didn't have time to return to the store nor stay on the phone. Extremely frustrated I went ahead & ordered online. I've done previous online orders so I thought more than likely it should be fine. Well you guessed it....the deli counter didn't receive my order (cupcakes at the bakery were good to go). Plus I was running late on top of it. The woman at the deli counter was very apologetic & helpful. She offer to make them for me right then but I didn't have enough time for that. She helped me pick out some pre-made trays, then went to the manager to tell him about it. While she spoke to him about it, I shopped to find things to replace my order with. The woman from the deli counter came to find me after talking with the manager & she told me the manager had to see the email confirmation I received, for "proof" of my order. I was annoyed the manager didn't come with her to see my email confirmation, I had to go to him! The manager had no sense of urgency, was not apologetic & did nothing to help the situation. He looked at my email confirmation & said "oh ok" & walked away, I never saw him again. I finished up my shopping & checked out right in front of the managers office to see if he would come out. He didn't. I left & started to pack up my car. I realized I was missing something that I had paid for, so I went back to the checker & guy bagging my groceries. They said it was in the bag, I literally had nothing in bags in my cart or car. I told them I didn't have anything in my cart that was bagged. The checker told the guy that bagged my groceries to check my car! I felt like they didn't trust me or was listening to what I was saying. So the guy who bagged my groceries came out to look in my car & cart, he agreed it wasn't there. Keep in mind I'm so late at this point. As I'm walking back into the store the checker had found my bag & was running it out to me. I had kept my cool but was in tears by time I got to the car. I was so late now, way over budget (shopping for a party on the fly isn't easy) & just so disappointed. I probably spent double than what I had planned but most of all I was so upset of the way the manager handled the situation. I could have dealt with them not having the trays, since I was warned. I could have dealt with my missing bag, accidents happen. But I didn't feel trusted by my word from the manager. I understand you want to see the order information but it handled more like I was lying. There was no apology from the manager nor doing anything to help remedy the situation. I shopped there often & have yet to return after this event. I just can't bring myself in that store again. Luckily I live in an area with plenty of other shopping options. So if you do order party trays or cakes or cupcakes do yourself a favor & order it in person. read more

Service is mediocre. The reason they get one star is because their horrible checkout system. The check out system is so outdated every time I visit the store i thought it's an antique store. The system doesn't take out the discount(doesn't show the actual cost after the discount) when scanning the item. Instead it takes the discount amount individually at the end when cashier hit the total button, which make you wonder if they actually apply the discount to the sales or coupon items. I can't tell you how many time they DIDN'T took the discount off the total and I had to go back to cashier to claim the difference. Sometimes we caught the mistake at the end before we pay, freaking cashier has no clue how to adjust the discount or couldn't figure out how if the discount indeed applied. The worst part is it holds up the line and it's embarrassing and I often just end up telling the cashier forget the $4 difference.( Now think of it, may be that's their strategy where they can make extra profit). I don't think the problem only exist in this Albertson, so watch out next time you visit Albertson. Go traderjoe i never have problem there. read more

Very impressed with this Albertsons store. Very clean throughout and they have a wide range of items for sale. Their deli and flower sections are very adequate and the prices are outstanding with freshness abundant. Employees are helpful and courteous. They also have a self-checkout section, like at Home Depot. Overall, I'd give it 4+ stars. I would agree with Porsche that the staff, on the whole, are older and they appear more inclined to favor customer service as their priority. Ditto with her comment about the meat section. If you want great meat and good service along with it, go down the street to Stater Brothers. Fabulous meat department. read more

I have never yelped before but I need to share this experience. Albertsons has been running a promo for Rachel Ray dishes for a while and my family has been diligently collecting and sticking our stickers in order to collect our FREE dishes. The promo came to an end and on the last day (shame on me) to collect our dishes I walked in to empty shelves and when I inquired as to more stock comming I was advised "no more". Needles to say my little family was very disappointed and it fell to me to rectify the situation. I called and spoke with none other then the store director, Gary Hansen. He listened to my whinning and said he would take care of it. He called me within 1 hour and said to come and pick up my dishes after 5 o'clock. I arrived at aprox 6 and my dishes were waiting for me. I found out while picking up my goodies that he himself went to another Albertsons to pick them up for me. Way above and beyond. I have always loved my Albertsons and this experience justifies my affection. The checkers, stockers, deli, meat and produce folks are always pleasant and the youngsters bagging my stuff are always helpful. Thanks Gary and staff. Have a great new year. read more
