I have been dining at Albertos often for 10 years now. The food is always excellent. Jose and the boys make a damn good carne asada burrito and great soles. I would recommend Albertos anytime of the day because the are open 24 hours a day. read more

Ok, I lived in Riverside CA. (about 50 miles east of LA), for over 10 years and I have never found a better Burrito, by the way "I am a Mexican". I have eaten these Burritos in Riverside and also in Oceanside, CA. Between LA and San Deigo. Although I do not know how they are made, I have seen them prepare them and the meat comes out of a can. I am not sure where they get it from but the marinade is already in the can! Though they are not very healthy (I gained about 50 lbs from them) I too wish someone would Tell us how to make them,. This place is great! I am a frequent customer of albertos. Everything I had is great. The asada burrito, asada mini tacos and asada chilli cheese fries are among my favorite. The staff here is very nice, direct and fast. Awesome place to grab a bite 24/7. Glad they keep the prices lower then other nearby establoshments. read more

I'ma be honest here, this is the place you come to for hang over food, beer munchies, the other kind of munchies, or if you just want a lot of food for a good price. I have been to several different Alberto's, and I find that you need to go to a GOOD one to be happy with it. This particular one is at the bottom of my list of Alberto's. I ordered the super nachos, and it was just meh. They skimped on the cheese, I'm a cheese lover and it was very disappointing to see my nachos without much yellow color. I did forget to say no beans, so most of the toppings were beans. The meat was burnt and so it was kind of tough and just gross. There was barely any salsa in there... same with guacamole. They gave me bunch of chips with lots of beans and little everything else. And the little everything else was just bleh quality. This is my go-to Alberto's location! The drive thru line is usually long but they seem to have everyone's order out pretty quick. Tried a small variety of stuff on the menu and never left disappointed. Their food portions are HUGE which is a + for me and for giving huge portions they don't skimp out on quality and ingredients. I have gone to this place several times and usually just get the taquitos special. Not bad for the price. I have tried the carne asada tacos but I just cant deal with the boiled meat with no salt or flavor. Also, they always add a big glop of avocado sauce and pico de gallo. Again, as I stated prior, I usually go for the taquitos. However TODAY WILL BE THE LAST TIME. I was served the taquitos and when I got home and bite into one, the meat inside was STILL FROZEN! Now I don't have the time to go back, and I just basically blew $9.00 on food I can't eat. I honestly don't know how they stay in business with King Taco across the street. The convenience of the drive-thru and taquitos always swayed my choice. But not anymore. Service is shotty at best, and as stated by other reviews and now the food is a health hazard. I love Alberto's Mexican food. Look around and you will see so many copy cat fast food joints like them all over. There's Alibertos, Alberts, Albertas and many others all with similar color schemes, similar small cartoon character in the sign, but ALL copycats! Alberto's is the real one!! How do I know? Well, I've been alive longer than this restaurant has existed. 25 years ago, I visited an Alberto's in Oceanside and soon found the chain had numerous locations throughout Southern California. The other restaurants did not exist anywhere at the time. Then, suddenly, here come all these copycat fast food joints riding the quality coat tails of Alberto's. No originality, no new items. Just poorer quality food. Alberto's is awesome! They serve massive portions of food and it's tasty and consistent in its excellent quality. I order the Carne Asada combo and OMG it is so perfect! They fill their steak to the brim and so much guacamole, cilantro, tomatoes, beans, Spanish rice. It's always fresh and always filling. Go there and be happy!!! read more
