Came to the drive through and got 2 Asada Sopes for $7.73. Food is delicious but the sauce can use alittle more flavoring.
I have been coming to this location for years, I don't remember if it was an Alfredo's or Alberto's. I always liked the hard beef tacos. I got one and also a bean and cheese burrito $4.49. Entering the parking lot seems kinda sketchy, there is an auto mechanic that shares the driveway, and a tow yard across the street. I used the drive thru, and did Apple Pay but was charged 50 cents for using a credit card - No Amex accepted here. I drove away to eat, normally that's enough time to allow a burrito to cool down. But when it was less than warm when I started eating. I don't like how it's only wrapped in one piece of wax paper. The taco was good but very greasy. The good thing about it was the cheap $2.40 price!
Today, I ordered the 5 rolled tacos with guacamole & cheese. The guacamole is fluorescent green & the taquito is crunchy. Inedible. This place used to be my go to place to get great food, not anymore. Pass on this place.
Great place for a late-night bite or for any time. Service is friendly and willing and answer any questions. Bonus** price didn't increase like at other places Burritos: Veggie Grilled Chicken Chile Relleno Each burrito is flavorful and paired with either green or red sauce. I like to mix them and turn them into a wet burrito. Side note: there's a charge for using your credit card

This was my childhood go to place for carne asada fries and I haven't been here for years, but randomly decided to stop by today and I am so happy this place is still open and the menu has remained the same! Interesting to hear that other people also know it as having the "OG Carne Asada fries" haha. It is so good. On the menu it is called "Super fries" and it comes with carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, beans and cheese on top of fries. The super fries is probably enough to share with two people, unless you're super hungry or having late night munchies. (Yes this place is open 24/7). If you've had Vallarta's fries, the ingredients are similar but the cut of beef is a bit fattier and portion tiny bit smaller, albeit the price point is cheaper here. Still yummy. Parking: Several spots outside Price point: 6-10 bucks per person Covid Friendly: Yes - server at drive through line has masks Outdoor seating: None, there is indoor but most customers do drive through

The OG carne asada fries spot. Day or night, the super carne asada fries does not disappoint. The fries are crispy, cheesy and layered with a generous amount of carne asada, refried beans and sour cream (drools). Can't forget their red & green sauce!! Recently discovered their breakfast burritos and it is SO GOOD. It's a perfect bite of eggs, cheese, choice of protein and a nice thin and crispy tortilla.
I just have random craving for carne asada fries and ever since I started work in Alhambra, I would occasionally come here on some fridays. I would say it's one of the better carne asada fries and it's only $8.80. I would usually eat it for two meals too( I mean I can finish it but I wouldn't feel too good about myself if I finished it in one go. Regardless, I get their carne asada fries and have their fries well done. It helps a little more too because I still need to drive back to RH so by the time, it's still a little crispy. It does get a little busy and I think they only have a drive through available. Even though, I called in, I had to wait to get my order cause of the people that were in front of me. Hope Albertos survives, the carne asada could definitely be better but I think it's good for what it is.
Really, really bad experience this time. I usually go for the asada burrito and sausage (or bacon) breakfast burrito, but this time the asada burrito had absolutely no flavor. It was beyond bland. The breakfast burrito was slightly better, but nowhere near as good as it usually is. Also, went through the drive thru and asked for chips and salsa. Got home and realized too late the lady only gave me salsa, no chips. Last time I went, the food was good, but the Jamaica drink was pretty nasty (I literally dumped the whole thing in the sink). Final straw is I found a screw in my breakfast burrito. No joke. A screw. See attached picture. Needless to say, I will never come back here again nor will I recommend it to anyone anymore. I'm usually not this harsh, but the food quality has gone way downhill and this time, the screw did it for me.
24/7 Drive thru and no dine in after a certain time. Order carne asada fries $10 and it was loaded! Best carne de asada fries for value! Cheese, guac, beans, a bunch of meat, sour cream, and pico de gallo. Pair with their salsa sauces to top it off. Staff might have limited English capabilities but wasn't a problem! Some parking is available but never crowded.

I read the reviews and thought, "what the heck? I'll try it anyway." You should try this place again, anyway. The nachos were fantastic. Everything was hot when I got home. The carne asada was tasty although a different texture than I'm used to finding (much finer chop). Chips were crispy. And decent amount of sauce. This is fast Mexican and it was great. read more
Pollo fries are decent here. Pollo meat is better than most places. Fries were a bit raw when we got our order and seemed like they could care less when preparing our food. They skimp on toppings and each bite was mediocre. read more

This is my second time coming here. My family and I really like it. I think the prices are great, the food is really good. They definitely give you a big taco!! And today the guy at the window was so freaking cool and nice. Things like that will continue to bring me back! I hate they have low stars bc I haven't been disappointed to even understand why that is so. So to me it's unfair. The place is great and we'll definitely be back!!! read more

Went through the drive thru right now and asked for 2 a la cart beef tacos and to add sour cream m. I get home and the tacos don't have sour cream. I call to let them know and the girl that answers the phone tells me "I'll be with you right now" puts the phone down and is yelling and dealing with a kid in the background. I ended up hanging up, was on hold too long. If you're going to hire kids to run your business make sure they are doing the job right! read more

"Hey Bill, get us a Chimichanga from Alberto's," my foodhound cousin says. "Ok, where's that at?" Located near the corner of Garvey and Rosemead rests a Mexican fast food restaurant that I've been passing by on my way to work for a while now and not noticing it...yeah I'm not very observant. Anyway, I go through the drive thru, make my order, and go... The Carne Chimichanga was okay the meat wasn't really all that flavorful in fact it was a bit bland. The Asada Chilli Cheese was better but the meat was a bit tough. They were filling but not really all that tasty. I can't really recommend this place for taste but if you're really hungry and you're within a half mile...yeah go for it... read more

I purchased 2 fish tacos (take out) from this place . While eating ,I found a half of a toothpick inside of my taco. Disgusting! when I reported it to them ,the guy was rude. He also hung up the phone on me. There was no apology or concern and I was disregarded completely. I will NEVER eat anything from this place again. Be careful eating from this Albetos. read more

Have not been back to this Albertos for years. The food declined a lot when they changed names and "owners". Had a craving for Mexican while wfh and decided to give them a try again. It was actually just like I remember back in my drunken college nights! Drive thru and take out only during COVID. Drive thru was quick and easy. Menu is still the same. They do limit salsas now. Carne Chimichanga - $5.45 - Stuffed with carne, rice, beans, and some veggies. Got it dry because I did not want it to get super soggy. Huge portion. I wish it was a tad bit more crispy though. Carne Super Fries - $8 - Huge portion again. Carne was perfect. A lot of drunken night flashbacks when I ate it. Machaca Breakfast Burrito - $4.65 - Simple and made perfectly. Good shredded beef and egg mix. Bumped up my previous review. Will be back sooner now! read more

I ordered super fries and the lady gave me supers nachos Drove back and told her And she said I never said that I told her I did order super fries But nope. Then I open my nachos and see that it's just chips Ate 3 chips and as you can see in the picture Very dry hardly anything on them. Waste of money. Alberto's is a Mexican food restaurant that is average in the quality, and taste. Aside from being open 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday, Alberto's is one of those places you go to when you're craving some midnight/later snack on the weekends. My girlfriend and I went to order the carne asada fries around 10PM, and we went through the drive thru. The lady who took my order and handed us the food spoke with a condescending tone, and she appeared as someone who did not want to be working at the moment. This is disappointing because it is not difficult to be customer friendly, especially on a drive-thru visit. Food: The carne asada fries were average. It comes with fries, refried beans, carne asada, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The amount of guacamole given covered about 1/3 of the box, which was disappointing. The fries were tasteless and more on the soft side. The quality of the carne asada was average, but they did give a lot of it. Overall, I would only come to Alberto's if I am in the area, or just want a quick bite of carne asada fries. I haven't found another carne asada fry place in the San Gabriel valley. I am not intrigued by anything else on the menu because I can probably find something better at a taco truck. read more
11.10.17 -update- had the carne asada burrito for the second time this week and the meat seasoning is SO MUCH BETTER. Quickest Mexican fast food in this area, and for a reasonable price match with quality. I've always gone through drive through and tonight wasn't any different. I did notice that they advertise this place as 24hrs so I'll remember that when I'm hungry in the middle of the night. Ordered the carne asada burrito and it was pretty decent for about $6. My boyfriend ordered the same thing with extra sour cream and so our total came out to $12.70, not bad at all. Couldn't tell which had the extra sour cream. I learned to never ask for extra anything in burritos because most likely they didn't add a noticeable amount. I recommend getting sauces like guac or sour cream on the side so you can add as you eat and are certain you got extra of whats necessary. Also asked for jalapeños and they gave me a bag full of pickled carrots and two tiny jalapeño slivers. Still ate the veggies, but meh. The carne asada burrito itself lacked flavor in the beef. Kinda on the dry side and the part where they closed off my burrito is unfilled, so I ate a lot of plain tortilla (I love tortillas so I didn't mind but don't expect a super stuffed burrito). There's pico de gallo, guacamole, and sour cream in it as well. The food came with two types of sauces (green and red). I prefer the green over the red, since the red has an unusual smokey red bell pepper taste. Also recommend the super fries if you want super carne asada fries. Add extra guac and sour cream to this for sure! read more
