We had so much fish in Scotland but we had seen and smelled so many cows around the country we figured the beef must be good. We were right! We shared the steak choice for 2. Our medium steak was perfectly grilled: red, but not bloody. The onion rings were excellent!! Some of the best I've had and I used to be a server at a restaurant called "The Onion"! We were stuffed by the end of the meal. However, we got the sticky toffee to go and it was SO GOOD! My problem was my room was SO HOT and UNCOMFORTABLE . I paid a lot of money for a room that had a broken air conditioner and windows that did not open. The bed was comfortable, but I did not get a good night sleep. I was so very hot. The bathroom was nice. It had a towel warmer and offered nice shampoo and conditioner. The bar and restaurant are very nice. The food And drinks were so good for the price. If you're from the USA and have T-Mobile, service doesn't work great here. I wouldn't stay here again and I would try another hotel due to how uncomfortable I was with the temperature and window issues.

Having grown up in South Queensferry, this pub has been a part of my childhood dragging my Dad out of there when dinner was ready! As well as my adult life, I enjoy a good pint in there. They serve various beers and ciders at reasonable prices (approx £3 a pint). You can have various shots also if you wish. They have a pool table, seating area, TV and at weekends often a disco in the back. A great atmosphere for locals and visitors and the staff will make you feel welcome. The Stag Head is also a Hotel with various standards of rooms, some with en-suite. Great transport links to Edinburgh being just off the bus route and a 20 minute walk to Dalmeny train station which sits just before the World Heritage renowned Forth Rail Bridge. Place looks great, has awesome electrical features (including green lighting, which I appreciate as an engineer). Bar and restaurant look great, staff is nice, gym looked good as well. Free drinks at the bar and breakfast (hilton diamond). If returning to the area, would definitely stay again. Only downside is how hard the hotel is to get to from the M90.

Food wasn't stocked up on the buffet, so I had beans, tomatoes and mushrooms on toast, as there wasn't much other non-bacon and sausage options out there i.e. the desolate plate waiting for eggs that never appeared in the time I took to wait, give up, eat and leave. It wasn't exactly clear what we were supposed to do at breakfast either - sit down, wait for a waitress who didn't show up for sometime after I arrived? Was I supposed to hunt down a cup of tea? If so, the bugger laid low in the bushes and I was left wth OJ. In regards to the venue - as mentioned earlier, stunning views. The room we had was relatively quiet (although you could hear doors slamming up and down the hall in the morning). Rooms were clean and bed was soft but comfy. Would this be a place I would rush back to? No, but they did a reasonable job at looking after us and our event, and I don't think anyone was booted out after hours. My room was fine, bed was comfy. But the whole place smelled musty or like mildew. I couldn't get rid of the humidity in the air, it was odd. The towel rack warmer was nice, but the rain shower was kind of a pain. I was only here for 2 nights, so it was fine for what I needed it for.

Excellent airport hotel!…read more Its just a few minutes drive/taxi ride from this fresh new Premier inn to Edinburgh Airport Terminal! The hotel has got everything you'd expect of a new Premier Inn including the comfiest of beds, a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner and cosy bar with free wifi. Actually the whole hotel has excellent free wifi. The staff are lovely, there is plenty of car parking right outside, and despite being at the end of the runway we didn't have our sleep disturbed. We could hear the planes until they stopped for the night, but the well glazed and soundproofed rooms (with excellent air conditioning) reduced the noise sufficiently for a good slumber. Premier Inn Edinburgh Airport Hotel is easy to find just off the main road on the west of the city. Its neatly tucked in at the end of the runway next to a number of premium brand car showrooms. Very convenient spot!
