Excellent airport hotel!…read more Its just a few minutes drive/taxi ride from this fresh new Premier inn to Edinburgh Airport Terminal! The hotel has got everything you'd expect of a new Premier Inn including the comfiest of beds, a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner and cosy bar with free wifi. Actually the whole hotel has excellent free wifi. The staff are lovely, there is plenty of car parking right outside, and despite being at the end of the runway we didn't have our sleep disturbed. We could hear the planes until they stopped for the night, but the well glazed and soundproofed rooms (with excellent air conditioning) reduced the noise sufficiently for a good slumber. Premier Inn Edinburgh Airport Hotel is easy to find just off the main road on the west of the city. Its neatly tucked in at the end of the runway next to a number of premium brand car showrooms. The food is good here too and in my opinion not very expensive. But you may feel less quantity depending on what you order. The staff is very courteous and very helpful too. It's a great scenic location with a large private area. The only con about this place is the distance from the main center. It is really far and if your itinerary has more around central Edinburgh then I would not recommend this place especially when they don't have a daily shuttle until the city center (They only provide until the metro station which is too early for noon and early evening returns only).

My problem was my room was SO HOT and UNCOMFORTABLE . I paid a lot of money for a room that had a broken air conditioner and windows that did not open. The bed was comfortable, but I did not get a good night sleep. I was so very hot. The bathroom was nice. It had a towel warmer and offered nice shampoo and conditioner. The bar and restaurant are very nice. The food And drinks were so good for the price. If you're from the USA and have T-Mobile, service doesn't work great here. I wouldn't stay here again and I would try another hotel due to how uncomfortable I was with the temperature and window issues.

They serve various beers and ciders at reasonable prices (approx £3 a pint). You can have various shots also if you wish. They have a pool table, seating area, TV and at weekends often a disco in the back. A great atmosphere for locals and visitors and the staff will make you feel welcome. The Stag Head is also a Hotel with various standards of rooms, some with en-suite. Great transport links to Edinburgh being just off the bus route and a 20 minute walk to Dalmeny train station which sits just before the World Heritage renowned Forth Rail Bridge.
