This place is just awesome. Such an authentic and local feel to it. We showed up around nine in the morning to check in and were, obviously way early, but they let us park our car there and the bar was already open with the rugby World Cup showing. Jessica got us some pints (great Guinness) and helped us regarding some questions we had. We ended up heading to the city and upon our return than evening, Alicia got us checked in and taken care of in the pub for dinner. The fish and chips are outstanding (and huge...be forewarned)!!! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Only six rooms above the pub, so very quaint and cozy. Alicia was there again in the morning after our great-night's sleep. She served us a tasty breakfast before we headed out. Great pub, great rooms, and even better staff. Plus, you don't have to deal with the madness of Edinburgh traffic, but are close enough to hop on the bus and get into the city in less than 20 mins. Awesome gem of a place! read more
