My neck used to be my most painful area and they resolved it mainly with RF nerve blocks and injections. Unfortunately with age my spine pain from scoliosis and L4L5 arthritis has advanced, and the treatments became less successful. Dr Robinson has traveled this journey with me to relieve my pain as much as possible while helping me to pursue all that I have had to do to find the best surgeon to perform fusion. This has become a long and very painful daily process. Dr Robinson has been a huge and kind advocate for me to achieve my goals and to deal with pharmacies to get me the medications I need. He is a serious dedicated doctor who puts you at ease and supports you completely. Thanks to the doctors and staff at university spine & pain for all they have done to help get me through all this!

I also like how his crew are well informed and on top of it from the receptionist to the nurses assistance if you have an appointment, they see you on time and take care of you ASAP the waiting room before you go in to get your procedure done is pretty cold so good thing that they give blankets now everything besides that is pretty smooth you're In-N-Out in an hour or so.

I have been doing physical therapy here for quite some time. I did both aqua therapy and land based…read moretherapy and both modalities are great. They even have an underwater treadmill in the pool and underwater video cameras, so that I can see what I am doing in real time and improve my technique. The whole team works together very well and my physical therapist, Emily, is excellent. The therapy aids are also great. The front office staff has been responsive as well and made scheduling and changing the visits seamless (I always did this in person rather than via phone). I also saw Dr Huber who did a great job. He was able to quickly get to the root cause of my issues and come up with a good plan. He answered my questions and helped me come up with the least invasive plan possible to address my issues. People complain about waiting in the other reviews and the short visits. These people need to keep in mind that the reason people are waiting is because these doctors are trying to help get patients in when they urgently need to be seen, even when space is not available. They are putting people in appointment slots that may not exist and if that person complaining was to have an urgent issue, they would be happy to be seen. They only have so many hours in the day they can work and if they didn't squeeze people in, then patients will suffer. Don't forget that there is more work that happens after you leave the room. Trust me, they don't want to stay late at the end of the day any more than you don't want to wait. Overall, I have had a great experience here and would recommend anyone come here if they have an issue that needs orthopedic eval, especially if therapy will be needed afterwards. You can only see these therapists after being seen by the doctors here.

I'm only posting this because he had a recent follow-up with Dr Halikis (who works in the same office) after my son experienced recent discomfort. Back in 2008, we had Dr Shrader inspect the injury and perform surgery without any problems. His anesthesiology team was actually able to find an irregularity with his heart just prior to the surgery, so that was comforting to see that they paid attention to those details. The surgery went smoothly and Dr Shrader and his team were great. They provided before/after xrays and everyone was very professional. Now in 2015, Dr Halikis did a small minor follow-up. They performed the in-house x-rays and consultation and did not find any problems. It appears it may have just been aggravated. But all is well now.

It turned out I had severe cervical spinal stenosis and needed surgery right away. I was really scared. Dr. Rogers and PA Satterfield took the time to walk me through the risks and benefits of disc replacement, answer all my questions, and help me work through my fears. They are very experienced, and I felt so reassured by their care. They're also such a funny and sweet duo, which made a scary situation feel a little less overwhelming. I woke up from surgery without the pain I had been living with, and I'm feeling really great now. In my experience, it was a straightforward outpatient procedure, the thought of it was so much scarier than the actual experience. For anyone feeling scared about disc replacement, I completely understand. It was the best choice for me, and I'm so thankful I went through with it. I'm incredibly grateful to Dr. Rogers, PA Satterfield, and their entire team for helping me feel better and supporting me through the process.

Initially, he told me he would remove the screws/hardware. Later, he changed his opinion and essentially told me I should just live with my arm the way it was. After continuing to struggle with the limitation, I went back for a third appointment. At that visit, he finally agreed to proceed with hardware removal and a capsular release, but the entire interaction made me feel as though he was reluctantly doing me a favor rather than helping a patient who had been dealing with this problem for months. I also felt rushed, interrupted, and unable to fully explain my concerns or ask questions. His attitude toward me felt dismissive and condescending, and I left the appointments feeling that I had not been given the same patience or respect I would expect from a physician. I completely understand that no doctor can guarantee the outcome of a surgery, and I never expected a guarantee. What bothered me was the inconsistency, the dismissive attitude toward my concerns, and the lack of follow-through. I was told that authorization for the surgery had been submitted, but after that I never received any follow-up from the office. After multiple appointments and months of trying to find a solution for my elbow, I expected much better communication, consistency, and compassion. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I would not recommend this doctor.

Staying active while growing older sometimes takes a toll. I'm glad Dr. Magovern is there trying to keep me healthy and not trying to buy his next Jaquar.
