My wife needed knee care. Through our TMIPA Dr she was referred to Dr. Andrawis. From her first appointment through her partial knee replacement to her 1 year follow-up appointment, we could not be happier with the level of professionalism and kindness shown by Dr. Andrawis and his whole staff. Thanks for taking great care of her. read more

John Andrawis MD - Right knee, partial knee xray - 1 year post op. - Orthopedists Near Me - Torrance, California

Dr. John Andrawis is a nice, good bedside manners doctor and his explanations are clear to understand. My only complaint is the waiting time it took to see him, I waited 1 hour for him to come into my room and 15 minutes for him to get the equipment for the knee injections. Is this office double booking? How is this possible? Something needs to change at the office on 23560 Crenshaw Blvd., this is not right or fair for patients having pain. read more

I had my first hip done in July 2025, and my second in November 2025, i can't find the words to describe the amazing treatment i have received from Dr Andrawis and his team, it has literally changed my life, and i told the Dr i would be climbing a mountain in the UK in June 2026, and here are the photos to prove it, Thank you John, you give me my life back, His parting words of advise was, keep moving, otherwise, it is a waste of time, we must keep active, read more

He was in and out of the room in a minute. He kept me waiting for one hour to see him. He obviously didn't look at may chart and gave me meds that do not interact well with meds I take. read more

Ive read the other reviewers. I did not have the same experience. Im sorry but I found the doctor to be rather rushed, almost like it was a nuisance, he explained very little, and was not very personable...He moved my leg around a little and said something like its not your hip, its your back, and pretty much ended the visit. Huh? Ok. Sorry, but I wont be going back to this doctor if I can help it. read more

I couldn't be happier with the care I've received from Dr. Andrawis. He performed a full knee replacement for me 6 weeks ago, and I'm already seeing a positive difference. From the very first consultation, he was professional, patient, and reassuring--taking the time to answer all my questions and walk me through the process in a way that gave me confidence. Although I'm not fully recovered yet, I'm well on my way, and the improvement so far has been great. The first 2 weeks after surgery were not easy. I had physical therapy through Dr. Andrawis's office that made a positive difference. Dr. Andrawis and his team have been supportive and responsive throughout my recovery. The care, attention, and expertise he provides are outstanding. If you're considering knee replacement surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Andrawis. He is a very skilled surgeon and I am happy with the results . read more

My first ever public review. Had to acknowledge Dr Andrawis and his staff for unbelievable care and response. After hip abductor surgery - which was fully explained- any required assistance and the doctor himself was available to answer! Truly exceptional patient care! Can't say enough about it. Surgery result will take some months to heal but he has operated on my friends with great results so I am optimistic. Highly recommend Dr Andrawis- a great doctor and compassionate one. read more

My first visit and consultation with Dr Andrawis went great! He took time to talk through the full hip replacement journey. The office staff were all so efficient and friendly too. Follow up and the communication tools are great! read more

Excellent quality of care, bedside manner, understanding of patient and family fears and concerns. Many surgeons, especially of his level of achievement, are arrogant and short with patients, you won't find that with Dr. Andrawis. Never dismissive or disbelieving of your experience of your pain. Short to no wait time in office. Total hip replacement. read more

I felt compelled to write a review for Dr. Andrawis and his entire orthopedic team as i just had him perform a TKR for me on August 5th, 2024. I have been an elite Masters athlete in cycling for 25 years and have been dealing with a progressively horribly arthritic knee since a lacrosse injury in college many years ago. I have seen several orthopedic surgeons over the years but my knee finally said enough. I did extensive research and then met with Dr. Andrawis. He looked at the x-ray and said "that's a really bad knee!" He took the time to explain the procedure and what rehab would look like. My main concern was getting back to training and eventual racing at a high level. I have been so impressed with Dr. Andrawis, his communication and responses to questions, and guiding me every step of the way. His entire team was and is terrific and I couldn't recommend them any higher. I'm 6 weeks out from surgery and doing great - so very happy i did this now at 60 and probably should have done it years ago. I am grateful to having found Dr. Andrawis as my orthopedic surgeon - he is very special in a healthcare system that is so underwhelming - he cares deeply and that's hard to find. Highly, highly, recommended. read more

Without knowing anything about me or examining my hip, Dr. Andrawis sat across from me and stated " you are old so get use to it" (I was working out at the gym 5 days a week.) He finally prescribed a steroid pack since I was in pain. I had to ask for physical therapy but it was too painful. Finally I was able to see an orthopedic surgeon who ordered a MRI of my hip and low back THAT IS WHAT A GOOD DR DOES. read more

Besides being extraordinarily talented, Dr. Andrawis is extremely kind, patient and it is clear le loves what he does. I am a 79 year old woman who tore both meniscus in one knee. When deciding upon surgery (he discussed options with me) I asked about down time and he said there would be none. Surgery in the morning and I was home and walking down the block in the afternoon. No down time and I felt perfect and free! My physical therapist said he had never seen anyone recover so fast young or old. Ten days later and I am back at the gym and have complete freedom. My husband had a similar experience with a partial knee replacement with Dr. Andrawis several months back, a very different experience for him from the first knee replacement. Dr. Andrawis is the go to doctor for any hip and knee issues as I've told all my friends. The whole experience with he and his staff was wonderful. read more

Dr. Andrawis is the BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON EVER!!!! I am an old lady who just had a total knee replacement. I am now two weeks post op and am walking and going about my daily routine as normal. Yes, there is pain but Dr. Andrawis make sure they have plenty of strategies to minimize it and make if manageable I am just amazed at how fast I am recovering. His support staff is also amazing. Josephina, his physician assistant, is terrific and very attentive to patient needs. The office staff is always very helpful and does their very best to make everyone who walks through the door feel comfortable. The wait times are always very reasonable and I always leave the office feeling confident that Dr. Andrawis and his team have done their best to meet my needs and answer all my questions. PLEASE consider using Dr. Andrawis if you need ortho surgery. He is simply the best. read more

This is for Dr. Andraweis and his whole team. I had a total knee replacement on 1/2/2023. Today is the 11th so I'm 9 days out of surgery. I cannot tell you how great this Doctor and his team have been. In the hospital he was there to talk to me before the surgery, while I was in the recovery room and in my room the next day. I'm not going to lie, this is a very painful procedure, but I knew exactly what was going to happen and I had the confidence what I was feeling was normal. I was up walking the day of surgery and the next day, and because of that I was able to go home. I have had Physical Therapy here at home 4 times and next week I move to outpatient therapy. If you are living with the pain of a knee that just doesn't work anymore , go see Dr Andraweis. He is nice, compassionate and he cares about his patients. Most of all, he is the premiere surgeon for this kind of operation and on the cutting edge of technology. Did you see what I did there? Cutting edge? read more

There comes a point when surgery is inevitable and once that time comes around, you hope to be greeted with compassionate guidance. Dr. Andrawis and his team were thoughtful and thorough every step of the way -- from consultation, through surgery, to post op. It's been two weeks since my robotic knee surgery and I just came back from a neighborhood stroll with my family, without a walker, without crutches. We are grateful for the opportunities this surgery has made available again, now a family travel adventure is in order! Thank you Dr. Andrawis and team! ~ Hashem & Ghafourian Family read more

I was super impressed with Dr. Andrawis. When you go to any orthopedic doctor you have certain ideas about the outcome. The Dr. was more interested in what I was feeling than what the X-ray said. Left educated and impressed by his demeanor. read more

Dr. Andrawis is simply the best. I had been suffering with bursitis in my hip for almost 3 years before I decided to bite the bullet and get a cortisone shot in my hip. I was dreading the whole experience as I am terrified of needles. I tried physical therapy, and stayed away from the gym. My hip wasn't getting better. Don't get me wrong, I hated every minute of the experience. I was not fond of putting on more weight than I already had from not being able to hit the gym. Cortisone shots will pack on the pounds too. Plus I have heard how bad they are in general from people who seek alternative therapies. Dr. Andrawis made the whole experience easy because you could tell he knew what he was doing. He is a professional. I felt bad because he almost looked like he felt bad that I still screamed when he gave me the shot. That was going to happen no matter who it was. I'm just glad he didn't lose focus on what he was doing. I am not an easy patient at all! So thanks, Doc! I'm gonna miss you now that I am back in the Chicago area. You're the only part of California I will miss. Time to start over with a new Orthopedic surgeon. Boo! read more

Thorough, efficient, great results. His team and other professionals like to work with him. He is both caring and realistic.

Just left Drs office to get another cortisone shot. Little uncomfortable, but bearable.

BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON AT TORRANCE MEMORIAL for a total knee replacement. Dr. Andrawis is easy to communicate with, he listened to understand my story and made me feel cared for. He informed me of how the process would go with ample time allowed for my questions with no sugar coating the hard work necessary to recover. He used the robotic arm to assist with the surgery for a state of the art approach to achieve a better outcome. I also liked the Recovery Coach app and having a nurse to communicate with prior to and after surgery. I am 10 days post-op and walking with a cane up to 1000'+ daily, riding a bike, exercising and able to care for myself at home. I would highly recommend Dr. Andrawis for your total joint surgery as he has your best interest at heart and is extremely qualified. read more

My son injured his right knee yesterday during his weightlifting training session, and we were able to get an appointment with Dr. Andrawis the same day. The doctor and the nurses were very professional and thorough. Dr. Andrawis spent an ample amount of time trying to diagnose my son and the nurse was very thorough when asking my son's medical history. Overall, my son and I had a great experience from the moment I called the front office to schedule an appointment to the moment we left the doctor's office. read more

Very clean facility and very nice people working front desk and back office. Including the nurses. Could not fault them. However although Dr Andrawis was pleasant enough I was disappointed in that he saw me for all of about 5 mins or less and took 1 min to look at my knee. I had a bad fall & injured my knee and my left side of back by the ribs. He looked at my knee for less than a min. Didn't bother to examine my back and suggested a steroid shot and an MRI and physiotherapy. My PCP could have ordered that. She examined it more closely. So why bother go to a specialist. I was very disappointed. I hope ALL the ortho Drs at this practice aren't the same. I wouldn't recommend this Dr. 4 days later my knee still isn't any better. I drove all the way from the Westside to see this specialist hoping to be properly examined. The waiting room didn't even have more than 2 people waiting. Plus there was more than one Dr there I noticed. So he can't have been that busy not to properly examine me. They took X-rays but my pcp already took some. So why more ?? Not happy at all. Looking for a second opinion now. Please if you're going to charge for specialty fees then the specialist should earn their fees. I wouldnt recommend this place based on this Dr. read more

Dr. Andrawis is wonderful. I came to him with knee troubles and he and his staff proceeded with a very thorough analysis, including pretty fancy targeted X-rays, after which he examined me carefully, focusing of one of his X-rays that showed calcification and inflammation of my right medial collateral ligament. He proceeded to give me a cortisone shot: he said it might sting a bit, and it did --- just a bit: no problem, He did a thorough and actually relatively painless job. Better living through chemistry. So, all in all it was a very good visit: I am happy to recommend Dr. Andrawis very enthusiastically. read more

Fantastic! Amazing! I can think of about 50 other words to describe what an excellent surgeon Dr. Andrawis is, and how incredible my experience was with him. I cannot say enough good things about Dayana (the coordinator), the rest of the staff and surgical team, as well as the wonderful care that I've received. Dayana is great; whenever I emailed or called with a question, she was quick to reply. Dr. Andrawis is awesome! He was patient, kind, personable, and answered all of my questions. He even called me on a couple of occasions to follow up with me and make sure I was well cared for. His picture should be next to the word 'surgeon' in the dictionary. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone; If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. read more

At 16 years old I discovered lady doctors are the best choice for me. Now, (I will be a 70 year man soon), Dr. John is the only male doctor I would recommend without hesitation.
