Im sorry but I found the doctor to be rather rushed, almost like it was a nuisance, he explained very little, and was not very personable...He moved my leg around a little and said something like its not your hip, its your back, and pretty much ended the visit. I couldn't be happier with the care I've received from Dr. Andrawis. He performed a full knee replacement for me 6 weeks ago, and I'm already seeing a positive difference. From the very first consultation, he was professional, patient, and reassuring--taking the time to answer all my questions and walk me through the process in a way that gave me confidence. I felt compelled to write a review for Dr. Andrawis and his entire orthopedic team as i just had him perform a TKR for me on August 5th, 2024. I have been an elite Masters athlete in cycling for 25 years and have been dealing with a progressively horribly arthritic knee since a lacrosse injury in college many years ago. I have seen several orthopedic surgeons over the years but my knee finally said enough. I did extensive research and then met with Dr. Andrawis. He looked at the x-ray and said "that's a really bad knee!" He took the time to explain the procedure and what rehab would look like. My main concern was getting back to training and eventual racing at a high level. I have been so impressed with Dr. Andrawis, his communication and responses to questions, and guiding me every step of the way. His entire team was and is terrific and I couldn't recommend them any higher. I'm 6 weeks out from surgery and doing great - so very happy i did this now at 60 and probably should have done it years ago. Without knowing anything about me or examining my hip, Dr. Andrawis sat across from me and stated " you are old so get use to it" (I was working out at the gym 5 days a week.) He finally prescribed a steroid pack since I was in pain. I had to ask for physical therapy but it was too painful. Finally I was able to see an orthopedic surgeon who ordered a MRI of my hip and low back THAT IS WHAT A GOOD DR DOES. read more

Besides being extraordinarily talented, Dr. Andrawis is extremely kind, patient and it is clear le loves what he does. I am a 79 year old woman who tore both meniscus in one knee. When deciding upon surgery (he discussed options with me) I asked about down time and he said there would be none. Surgery in the morning and I was home and walking down the block in the afternoon. No down time and I felt perfect and free! My physical therapist said he had never seen anyone recover so fast young or old. Ten days later and I am back at the gym and have complete freedom. Dr. Andrawis is the BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON EVER!!!! I am an old lady who just had a total knee replacement. I am now two weeks post op and am walking and going about my daily routine as normal. Yes, there is pain but Dr. Andrawis make sure they have plenty of strategies to minimize it and make if manageable I am just amazed at how fast I am recovering. His support staff is also amazing. Josephina, his physician assistant, is terrific and very attentive to patient needs. The office staff is always very helpful and does their very best to make everyone who walks through the door feel comfortable. This is for Dr. Andraweis and his whole team. I had a total knee replacement on 1/2/2023. Today is the 11th so I'm 9 days out of surgery. I cannot tell you how great this Doctor and his team have been. In the hospital he was there to talk to me before the surgery, while I was in the recovery room and in my room the next day. I'm not going to lie, this is a very painful procedure, but I knew exactly what was going to happen and I had the confidence what I was feeling was normal. I was up walking the day of surgery and the next day, and because of that I was able to go home. I have had Physical Therapy here at home 4 times and next week I move to outpatient therapy. If you are living with the pain of a knee that just doesn't work anymore , go see Dr Andraweis. He is nice, compassionate and he cares about his patients. Dr Andrawis Is my hero , I was in so much pain with a bone on bone hip, I felt like my life was over. No more walks with my husband and we love shopping together. Dr. Andrawis is simply the best. I had been suffering with bursitis in my hip for almost 3 years before I decided to bite the bullet and get a cortisone shot in my hip. I was dreading the whole experience as I am terrified of needles. I tried physical therapy, and stayed away from the gym. My hip wasn't getting better. Don't get me wrong, I hated every minute of the experience. I was not fond of putting on more weight than I already had from not being able to hit the gym. Cortisone shots will pack on the pounds too. Plus I have heard how bad they are in general from people who seek alternative therapies. Dr. Andrawis made the whole experience easy because you could tell he knew what he was doing. He is a professional. I felt bad because he almost looked like he felt bad that I still screamed when he gave me the shot. That was going to happen no matter who it was. I'm just glad he didn't lose focus on what he was doing. I am not an easy patient at all! So thanks, Doc! I'm gonna miss you now that I am back in the Chicago area. BEST ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON AT TORRANCE MEMORIAL for a total knee replacement. Dr. Andrawis is easy to communicate with, he listened to understand my story and made me feel cared for. He informed me of how the process would go with ample time allowed for my questions with no sugar coating the hard work necessary to recover. He used the robotic arm to assist with the surgery for a state of the art approach to achieve a better outcome. I also liked the Recovery Coach app and having a nurse to communicate with prior to and after surgery. I am 10 days post-op and walking with a cane up to 1000'+ daily, riding a bike, exercising and able to care for myself at home. I would highly recommend Dr. Andrawis for your total joint surgery as he has your best interest at heart and is extremely qualified. read more

Very clean facility and very nice people working front desk and back office. Including the nurses. Could not fault them. However although Dr Andrawis was pleasant enough I was disappointed in that he saw me for all of about 5 mins or less and took 1 min to look at my knee. I had a bad fall & injured my knee and my left side of back by the ribs. He looked at my knee for less than a min. Didn't bother to examine my back and suggested a steroid shot and an MRI and physiotherapy. My PCP could have ordered that. She examined it more closely. So why bother go to a specialist. I was very disappointed. I hope ALL the ortho Drs at this practice aren't the same. I wouldn't recommend this Dr. 4 days later my knee still isn't any better. I drove all the way from the Westside to see this specialist hoping to be properly examined. The waiting room didn't even have more than 2 people waiting. Plus there was more than one Dr there I noticed. So he can't have been that busy not to properly examine me. They took X-rays but my pcp already took some. So why more ?? Not happy at all. Looking for a second opinion now. Please if you're going to charge for specialty fees then the specialist should earn their fees. I wouldnt recommend this place based on this Dr. read more

My son injured his right knee yesterday during his weightlifting training session, and we were able to get an appointment with Dr. Andrawis the same day. The doctor and the nurses were very professional and thorough. Dr. Andrawis spent an ample amount of time trying to diagnose my son and the nurse was very thorough when asking my son's medical history. Dr. Andrawis is wonderful. I came to him with knee troubles and he and his staff proceeded with a very thorough analysis, including pretty fancy targeted X-rays, after which he examined me carefully, focusing of one of his X-rays that showed calcification and inflammation of my right medial collateral ligament. He proceeded to give me a cortisone shot: he said it might sting a bit, and it did --- just a bit: no problem, He did a thorough and actually relatively painless job. Better living through chemistry.
