Today I paid a visit to this restaurant with colleagues from work and was informed that this place serves authentic Malaysian cuisine. The restaurant is clean with friendly staff. They have an extensive menu that is pretty cheap, making this place ideal for our Friday lunch option. They have an array of drink options and I will be back to sample more of these. For lunch I go the nasi lemak lunch set, with the usual ingredients being coconut rice, roasted peanuts, fried anchovies, sambal and I chose for it to be accompanied by the beef rendang. A simple lunch set with great flavours and textures the soft fluffy coconut rice with the crunch and satiness of the anchovies and peanuts. The beef rendang was tender and has great flavour. I also had the curry puff which had crisp outer pastry, was filled with a boiled egg, vegetables and spice. The curry puff was also very tasty. There were so many great looking drinks on the menu, on the advice of my workmates I ordered the iced cendol. Like my lunch set this drink had many textures, the jelly, the shaved ice, sweet palm sugar and conensed milk. The drink was sweet and refreshing, a great drink to go with my meal. My group also ordered the hainan chicken set and the char ho fun a combinalion rice noodle dish with a great name. Both of the meals looked great, I can say I had a little food envy over the char ho fun. This place is very generous with its portions and is a great option for a cheap meal. read more
