Man I eat her regularly, at least 1-2x a month and I'm normally a combo salad guy add some chili paste. This is always my goto and it's always quick, less than 10 min from time of order to delivery, with normally a 5 min wait. It's plenty and can normally have leftovers. This particular trip last week I tried the combo burrito with fries add chili paste. I forgot to take pics but it was absolutely delish and I'm comfortable saying it was at least a pound plus amount of meat. It was delicious and had minor lettuce like I prefer. Fries were nice and fresh. Definitely will get this again. This place is always quiet and quick. Lunch time is generally Togo orders from what I can tell. Bathrooms are clean and the drink area is always clean. read more

The worst restaurant in Gonzalez no doubt, the manger asked me to look and give a price for a ac leak I fixed the pipes I spent all day going back and forth to Lowe's I spent 250 on materials and I only charged & 150 for labor. As soon as I completed the job the manger wants to tell me it is a lot of money to just install pipes it was a last minute job and I think I gave him an excellent price. Then he wants to tell me how to run my business I am not a little kid I been in this business for years I am extremely upset I have been nothing but respectful. That is not how you do business. And they have mold on the cielings and walls .The worst experience I ever had doing a job I am extremely disappointed. read more

I'm from gonzales and this is definitely a weekly or biweekly stop for me. My favorite item is the chicken burrito no olives as raw onions.

Albasha express in Gonzales just kicked me out because I asked for fresh food after I saw the cook on his phone then touching my food without gloves.... even the cooks said it was their bad but the manager said no I was a bitch and just wanted money but even when I said I just wanted my food fresh he kicked me out then it got physical read more

The best Lebanese iced tea I've had! I drive thru just for this drink! Their meat mousaka is a good solid meal. So enjoy, but take in consideration it is a heavy dish. So don't dine and dash with it. Enjoy. Savor. The drive thru service is always super! read more

I thought this place was an express version of other Louisiana Albasha locations, but it most definitely is not. I've given them several chances over the past 5 few years ordering the Chicken Shawarma Salad, but at least the result is consistent....dry and overcooked chicken (but seasoned well) with a different, but watery dressing. You can literally tilt the box and the dressing runs out like dripping water from a fountain. Not creamy at all like the usual Albasha locations....tastes more like a copycat of Arzi's, if you like that place. Pita was okay and Lebanese tea was watered down too, missing flavor. We're done giving this place chances, my family and I wont be returning unless we hear they've improved their dishes. read more

1/8/20 Came here for lunch as I was craving Mediterranean food and this was the closest place to my location. I pulled up and ordered and ate inside. The food was made to order, fresh and tasty. I had the chicken shawarma, I enjoyed my lunch and was on my way. The establishment was clean, and the staff was friendly. I had a good experience and enjoyed my visit. read more

I don't often go out to get food but if I do it's this place 95% of the time. The people who work here are always really kind and the food is always incredible and consistent. I'm unfortunately not a huge fan of gyro but the chicken shawarma sandwich is really good and I recommend it. read more

Albasha Express - Chicken Shawarma Sandwich with a side salad and hummus - Greek Near Me - Gonzales, Louisiana

Hands down, our favorite go to spot for some delicious Mediterranean food. It's always the perfect temperature and super filling. You order the food at the counter and the server brings it out to you. The pricing is great too. We love this spot and highly recommend the combination plate! read more

Aye I gonna keep it a buck with you, they food be on point. Like they just don't miss

Albasha Express - Combination Salad, loaded with delicious salad, meats and dressing. Fair price for the large amount of food you get! - Greek Near Me - Gonzales, Louisiana

After working from home for the last almost 7 months due to Covid, I try my best to actually leave my house for my lunch break. I usually opt for a locally owned business and today was no different. The location is super easy to get in and out of and the drive through is very convenient. The staff taking and fulfilling orders for the drive through were all very kind and the food was delicious! I had the chicken schwarma plate with a Lebanese tea and an order of baklava. Very authentic and all super tasty. Would've given it 4 stars if I didn't find it a little pricey and wasn't kind of disappointed that they didn't have a larger cup size for my Lebanese tea (I could drink a gallon of that stuff, I swear!). Go pay them a visit! You can't go wrong! read more

This review is less about the food and more about the people at Albasha. I work across the road at Verizon and Wednesday the 15th we were short a worker and super busy that evening. It's was just me and one other co worker, the owner of Albasha came by 3 times that evening needing something done and we were swamped. The last time he came by it had slowed down some, he asked if we had lunch which we had not and he then ask what we want from his restaurant. We tell him and he immediately called and ordered it, he went and picked it up grabbed drinks and ice cups for us. All of this at no charge.... I can't express how amazing this place is, not only is the food amazing but the people make it that much better. read more

A bit pricey but what food (especially Greek food) isn't these days? We have had gyro, chicken shawarma, humus, baklava, and feta salad, and all of it is superb!! They don't skimp put on the meat but pile it on, which really helps overcome hesitancy about the price. Plus, they have a drive-thru, and for a Mediterranean food lover like myself, this is a dream come true on a Friday night after a long work week. The staff are also very friendly. Overall, 4.5/5 for me! read more

Just pulled through this place on my way through town. We absolutely devoured the food. The fattoush salad was a hit and the baklava is heavenly. read more

I have utilized this drive-thru Albasha Express several times in the past and I really love the convenience of being able to get my favorite Greek/Lebanese staple dishes without having to leave my car! I have had the gyro plate, the chicken shawarma salad, the crispy halloumi sandwich and the chicken shawarma pasta and all were served deliciously and consistently well-done! The price isn't the cheapest but they make up for it by being very generous with the portions! Their meats are so flavorful! No matter what I order for my entree, I always order a Lebanese tea with my meal! It's so refreshing and tasty! As I'm writing this review, I'm getting a craving for some food from Albasha Express! Excuse me while I go get some! read more

Every time I've been here the food has been good and consistent. I'm not sure why but I find the food better here than at the full service restaurant nearby. This place is my go to. read more

Great Location! This is located where Schlotzsky's/Cinnabon used to be, next door to the Malco theatre. Even though it's a drive thru, they still have a great menu to choose from. Their food was warm, fresh...and oh so yummy! They also have an indoor seating area. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

10 minute wait my ass. Ordered at 11:50. He said it would be 10 minutes for two salads. Drove there and arrived at 12:11. It is now 12:41 and I am JUST leaving with my food. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Albasha Express - a view of the outside of a building - Greek Near Me - Gonzales, Louisiana

This Albasha recently opened on March 22nd. It is located in the recently built plaza on Lee Dr right across from Mike Anderson's. I finally got a chance to try it today. In comparison with the other Albasha restaurants in the area, this one has no waiter/waitress service. When I walked in, I was greeted almost immediately by the employee by the counter. He was super friendly and asked if I needed any more time. I had an idea of what I wanted to get before I even walked in. I got the chicken and gyro combination plate. It is served with rice, hummus, a side Greek salad, pita bread, and a cup of the tzatziki sauce. Overall, the food was decent. Portions were good and the price wasn't too bad. This place is definitely convenient if you are looking for a quick bite to eat. It even has a drive thru so that makes it more convenient. I will definitely be back. It is a great addition to the LSU area. read more

I sat in line as the first person here for 20 minutes, it's like the people in there don't know how to talk nor make food. We got to the window 2/3 of the order was missing and though they repeated the fried cheese back to me at the ordering speaker said that they did not hear me say fried cheese when I asked for the receipt back to see if I was charge for fried cheese and they declined and said they didn't know where the receipt was. A fantastic experience read more

Albasha Express is one of my favorite go to quick restaurants. The Chicken Shawarma is insanely delicious and all for a good price

Delicious. I love being able to get healthy (depending on what you get) food from a drive-thru!
