A single scoop in a cone is 3 euros, and 2 euros with no cone. It was a perfect place to stop at after lunch before heading up to the Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. It's right across from the Sintra Palace a sidewalk away from the main road through the historic centre so very convenient and easy to find! Lots of others were eating gelato from here but it wasn't busy or crowded, and the service was very typical and not problematic.

It was just what I needed. I selected a scoop of the Banana Chocolate gelato and thought it was delicious. The banana gelato didn't taste artificial and there was a good amount of rich, creamy chocolate chunks. Prices are reasonable and there is a large selection of gelato flavors. The cashier was attentive, although a little pushy and impatient. We had walked in a few minutes before close and she made it very clear that we would need to leave right after ordering. She was also pretty impatient with us as we placed our order. All in all, I was happy with the gelato and my only regret was not ordering a larger size!

It seemed like a bit of a hole in the wall, which I always think makes the best food, so I gave it (and our tour guide) the benefit of the doubt, and I realized quickly that it had steady traffic and a constant line, which is always a good sign. I got the smoked ham and fresh cheese on a fresh baguette - the smoked ham was like a prosciutto and the fresh cheese like a ricotta, with lettuce, tomato, olive oil, and dried oregano. Very fresh, simple, bread was nice and crusty, and the olive oil and oregano were a nice touch. Seemed more of an Italian-inspired lunch to me, but I'm not complaining! Good value, too, at about only 4 euros per sandwich. No outdoor seating and limited seating inside, but there's a washroom and the tap is outside of it, so you can actually even fill up your water bottle here as well. On the left side, when you first walk in, there's also a little section for gelato - not sure if this is part of Puro Sabor or another side shop within, but either way, you can get a sandwich and dessert in the same spot.

Sorbets are fresh and tart, just how I like them! It was a brief stop here while I was in Cascais on a hot day. Plenty of gelato and sorbet flavors to choose from and the staff here were all very friendly for tourists stopping by. Got my self a double scoop of lime and pistachio and it was perfect, nothing to complain about. Definitely would come back here again if I'm ever in the area or in the country.

The overall feel of this place definitely has a retro vibe. It's giving 50's ice cream parlor. We were here in spring so not exactly ice cream weather, but pleasant enough that treating ourselves to some ice cream seemed like a great idea. The ice cream parlor attendant was happy to let us sample anything we liked, which was a lot of fun. Eventually we landed on hazelnut which was absolutely delicious and rich in flavor. This place is a little pricey for ice cream, but it is a tourist town so I guess that tracks. The bathrooms were very clean here though the line was long. I'd definitely stop in again if I'm ever in town,

Despite the crowd, the service moved surprisingly fast and the whole experience felt well organized. You pay based on cone size rather than by the scoop, which means you can load up on flavors without the guilt of counting portions. I went with pistachio, mango and blueberry cheesecake, and the combination worked beautifully. What really sets Amorino apart is the presentation, the staff shape the gelato into a stunning flower design that almost feels too pretty to eat. I also grabbed a Nutella crepe which was every bit as good as it sounds. Beyond the gelato there are plenty of options to explore including their famous macarons, so it is worth taking a moment to browse before you order.
