Popular street and while there was only one staff member, she was very cheerful and helpful. There are lines all the time even at 8pm, but it moves quickly. They have new flavor crème blood orange and it was great! I usually like the amarena (cherry) and coffee also. I did not get pistachio this time but usually quite good. I had Amorino gelato NYC bookmarked for years so, obviously, when I went to Lisbon and saw that there was an Amorino in Chiado I had to stop by and try it. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I liked the gelato so much that I came here twice with my friend during my trip. I would highly recommend the raspberry, mango, passion fruit, and coconut flavors. (I was feeling very tropical I guess) The line gets really long in the late afternoon, but the service is fast and the staff is really nice and understands English. Okay, so I know this is a chain (and is even in Beverly Hills right now, oh jeez), but this was my favorite place for dessert in Lisbon! In the land of eggy pastries, Amorino was the light of my life, with a multitude of vegan sorbets. The sorbets were so creamy and fruity, not too sweet, and they even had a dark chocolate sorbet that paired perfectly with their strawberry. My family loved the dairy gelatos and gladly accompanied me here for a treat after dinner. The staff spoke perfect English, gladly offered samples, and were overall just very pleasant. I came here more times than I care to admit during my time in Lisbon :) The staff is always so friendly and organized and the Gelato is just perfect , all the flavours taste so fresh and natural! I tried the lime basil, amarena, Madagascar vanilla and bourbon , Sicilian citrus and I can't even choose a favourite because they were all SO SO good ! Amorino and Grom, the two best gelato chains in the world, are across the street from each other here. So wife and I did a comparison taste test. Amorino won for pistachio (but it was very close!) I thought Grom's chocolate was slightly better, wife voted for Amorino. Her third flavor of Amorino was coconut, which was superb. My third flavor at Grom was licorice, which was also very good, and got extra points for being a new and original flavor. So for flavor and quality it was a tie. Amorino had more places to sit, Grom had a shorter line. You can't go wrong with either place. read more
