Amorino is a chain for a reason - they provide the same high-quality Italian gelato no matter where you go. I think they're in about 18 countries now, which is impressive. We first tried it in Paris, and now Lisbon. They're consistent and I love the unique presentation. This location has lots of outside seating, as it's on a pedestrian street, where you can soak up the atmosphere and watch people shopping, dining, and don't forget the street performers! From here, you're just steps away from the Santa Justa Elevator, Arco do Triunfo, and Praça do Comercio. Enjoy!
Visited Amorino after dinner for a delicious cup of gelato and it did not disappoint. Portions are pretty large, and they form the gelato into a flower petal which is kinda cool. The inside has some seating with plenty more outside if needed. We were served quickly and the employees had a big smile on their face which is always nice. We will probably come back here while visiting Lisbon as it was good albeit a bit pricy for what you're getting.
We literally came here for gelato every night during our trip to Lisbon since it was a close walk from where we were staying in the Baixa area. Everyone can find something they like as they have so many flavors to choose from. The best part is the way they scoop the gelato into a flower! They say that you can choose an unlimited amount of flavors, but I usually chose 3 flavors each time. The workers are all friendly, but some of them make a nicer/neater flower than others.
I have to admit to hitting this place up EVERY night that I was in Lisbon! And my daughter said she was dragged off to an Amorino, but in Manhattan, the first night she got back LOL. Anyway, scooping ice cream is not an easy job, but the workers there were soooo nice, accommodating, patient, pleasant, and artistic! You are allowed unlimited (or so it seemed) flavors in the creation of your flowery cone. They were beautiful tasty works of art. We even indulged in one of the decorated cones one night (as if the "plain" ice creams were not enough, right?) didn't want to even try another ice cream shop while there. Totally was beyond satisfied with just sticking to Amorino.
Tried this place in Texas first but my boyfriend really wanted to try because he liked the flavors more than the other flavors at the gelato places nearby. Pistachio - a decent pistachio but not my favorite. It felt like it was missing something. Hazelnut - a subtle sweet nutty flavor. Good alternative if you want something lighter than chocolate. Stracciatella - this flavor is one of their best and just a great flavor to balance out stronger ones.
Lovely gelato shop a great selection of flavours and wonderfully fragrant cones and waffles which lured me into this shop. You can get as many flavours as they can fit on the cones here, so I tried the caramel (pretty good), dulce de leche (excellent - my favourite one!), and vanilla (decent). Overall a great spot for a late night cone!
After seeing some very pretty pictures of rose petal shaped gelato cones online, I've tried making one at home. Needless to say, my pathetic attempts did not look floral at all. Therefore, I'm excited to visit Amorino. In all honesty, I am a bit disappointed, the gelato rose is not as well crafted as the ones I've seen online, even though the place was quiet so they weren't in a rush. There is an option of adding a macaron on top as well. Flavor-wise, both the gelato and macaron are delicious, but not great. I didn't realize it when I visited, but actually Amorino is a rather large chain, with many stores in Europe, and even in some cities in the U.S., and in Asia.

They're known for making their cones into a flower with the different flavors that you decide to choose from. The quality of the ice cream is definitely on the better side, creamy and smooth. I really enjoyed the rich chocolate flavor and their fruity flavors. However, some of the flavors should have been stronger in taste.
As someone with fairly severe lactose intolerance, finding a non-dairy ice cream treat is unusual. But this place not only had chocolate sorbet, which is delicious!, they scoop it into cones to resemble flowers! Can't even count the customers whose first action after receiving their treats is to take pictures because the cones are so beautiful.

So ever since then, whenever I see a Amorino shop, I have to go in and get a pretty ice cream cone. :) I love how they make it into a pretty flower design, and the gelato tastes delicious, too! This time I was a greedy pig and splurged on the largest size cone because I wanted a tri-color flower design. After I ordered it, I realized that they could have done 3 flavors with a smaller size, too. Oops. I chose the organic kiwi (flavor of the month), and two old stand-bys--caramel with salted butter and amareno. I felt that the server wasn't as skilled as in other places, as the flower design wasn't as pretty as I have had in the past. Oh well. It didn't affect the taste though. Still absolutely creamy and delicious, and I had no problem finishing the entire thing, plus the little mini ice cream cone as the topper decoration. ;)
Amorino Gelato on Augusta Street is a must stop for anyone with a sweet tooth, and the line out the door tells you everything you need to know. Despite the crowd, the service moved surprisingly fast and the whole experience felt well organized. You pay based on cone size rather than by the scoop, which means you can load up on flavors without the guilt of counting portions. I went with pistachio, mango and blueberry cheesecake, and the combination worked beautifully. What really sets Amorino apart is the presentation, the staff shape the gelato into a stunning flower design that almost feels too pretty to eat. I also grabbed a Nutella crepe which was every bit as good as it sounds. Beyond the gelato there are plenty of options to explore including their famous macarons, so it is worth taking a moment to browse before you order. If you are walking through the Baixa area, this is an easy and very rewarding detour. read more
Leave it to me to find an Amorino on my first night in Lisboa. We were walking from Prãca de Comercio and stumbled upon this gem. I frequent the one in the ROD so it was not a shock when I dragged my friends in. It's the exact playbook as the one in Houston. You get in line, place your order and then choose your flavours. I went with my good ole faithful waffle with two scoops (hazelnut chocolate and salted caramel) of gelato and topped it off with hazelnut drizzle. The total was about $6.40 which is way cheaper than it is in the states. It was just as delicious and very much worth it. It's easy to find in you're in the Baixa area of Lisboa. Just follow the path. read more

Amorino is the perfect spot for any tourist or locals! The workers are extremely helpful when it comes to explaining what the flavors are and the gelato is amazing. I have never had gelato this good before. The rose design made it even better! The little macaron on top costs extra, but the prices of the ice cream is already spectacular. The prices are reasonable and the wide range of ice offered is so amazing. From raspberry, to mango, to chocolate, to dulce de leche, to coffee, there was no flavor that was not good at all. I hope to come back again sometime because the ice cream here is so good! read more

We were in Lisbon for a day and a half, but ended up coming to Amorino twice during that span! This location is located along a busy tourist footpath leading to Praça do Comércio. The first time we noticed Amorino, there was a huge line out the door. We knew that must mean it was very good! They let you choose 3 flavours for a small cup and they are generous with their portions. Glad that they are giving customers great value for their money! My fave flavours are strawberry, dark chocolate, and hazelnut. Normally I also opt for gelato but their sorbet looked heavenly. And yes, I found out soon from my first tastes that they make a darn good sorbet - one that tastes so decadent that you won't even tell that it's not gelato. Coming to this Lisbon location started off a trend of us hitting up Amorino locations across Europe, like Porto, Berlin, and Prague. Wishing there was a location where I'm from, but alas, there isn't! read more

Some great flavors and excellent quality gelato. Accept cash only. Didn't like the fact that cup container bottom is almost half way up. Visual illusion that you have a lot of gelato in your cup, but it's not so. read more

Wow - this was fun and delicious as well we love ice cream but this flower power scoop is also something for the eyes You will like it! It is a bit expensive (small 3,60€). read more
I've visited other Amorinos in the world and this particular one was a disappointment for me. The ice cream rose wasn't well made and it was too soft, the staff didn't care about customers much and even though the place was pretty full of people, there was a cleaner sweaping the floor with a wet mop. I almost slipped twice on the wet floor. read more

July in Lisbon is hot and we were craving some ice cream. When we walked in to Amorino's, I was so excited to see that they have a huge vegan sorbet selection! The prices were a bit higher, but I didn't mind paying for good gelato. I ended up choosing three flavors, pistachio, banana, and passion fruit, and all three of them were delicious! My favorite was the pistachio. I don't eat dairy, but my sister got the regular gelato pistachio flavor and she compared it to the sorbet one -- she said it tasted basically the same :) I wish they had an Amorino's where I live. read more
Stopped by here while walking past because who can resist hot chocolate? I got the milk chocolate and my friend got the caramel chocolate. I thought the Milk chocolate was a little bit to milky but still really good. The caramel chocolate was a lot thicker and had a lot of caramel flavor. They give you a little chocolate cookie stick to go with your hot chocolate. I also tried the gelato which they shape into a pretty little flower. You can pick up to three flavors. I chose the pistachio and hazelnut and both were delicious and creamy. I wish the gelato had more nuts in them though. The waffle cone tastes really different from the ones at home. It's not sweet at all but I liked it that way. read more

Unique presentation for gelato: flower petals in a cup or cone. The gelato itself is quite good-rich creamy and just good. Staff were friendly and efficient so the wait is not too long. My only issue is the cost but I guess given the artistry needed to create the rose like petals it's understandable. read more
As someone who can't eat dairy, ice cream is a bit of a challenge for me. Have you had soy ice cream? It's mostly terrible. Usually when I hit a gelato spot, I get to pick from a couple of sorbet options, so when the person at the counter said that the organic chocolate was vegan, my heart stopped. I ordered the vegan chocolate, orange ginger and strawberry. They were all incredible. The orange ginger was spicy, like a really good palate cleanser. The strawberry was very very fresh. The chocolate was easily the best chocolate ice cream I have ever had. When I was eating dairy, I didn't even LIKE chocolate ice cream. It was that good. Service was friendly and the price was right. Didn't really care for it. The gelato tasted like pure sugar and was so Americanized, but it does have a great presentation. They do have wifi. Just get the password by the cash register. Otherwise the place was clean. To which his own. Maybe you'll like this place better than I do, but this place wasn't for me and I love all ice cream. read more

Suuuuper tasty creamy gelato!! My first time here although I understood that this franchise is very famous across Europe. The experience of getting an flower ice cream is nice but even better is to het the possibility to add as manu flavors as you want and to Do not regret of having it after you done with it!! The ice cream is priced but I will recommend to have it at least one during your trip to Europe. One important tip I can give is to ask for the flavor you like the most first because you get more of it ;) read more
