Good place for eyebrow threading! Fast, painless, reasonably priced, and she does a great job. They take walk-Ins too.

I had no reason to doubt Krista the minute she refused to cut too much length off of my hair. I mean this humbly when I say that I am very blessed with my hair so I am very paranoid when it comes to finding someone to work on it. Krista has done everything right since the first time that I've worked with her from her professionalism, to the personal connection she's built with my and my fiance and her work! She's advised me on changing out my products and has always understood the cut/look that I'm going for. I've never left her chair feeling disappointed. I am very happy to see that she is loving this company! Despite not having their own private parking lot I've never had any issues finding street parking for my appointments. Their salon is always very tidy and the atmosphere is calm/relaxing. They offer treatments as well and I just feel it's a nice change from the other busy hair studios that you find around town.

I'm neurodivergent and anxious, and since Ive been here a few times before, I decided to go again…read moredespite the fact that Im pretty sure their sanitation leaves much to be desired. I summoned all of my courage to try to ask for art. I've thought about asking for it in the past (both here and other places) but always chickened out because I was scared due to my social anxiety. So when I booked the appointment online, I tried to be very clear in the appointment notes that I wanted something specific (even said what it was) and that I had a few ideas I could show to try and see what we could do. I booked it for anyone available thinking that they would see my note and maybe someone would be inspired, or at the very least they would pair me with someone who does art. I've never been able to ask for art before, and I was so nervous. I spent hours the night prior trying to find simpler photos because I didn't want to ask too much of them. I looked at the art they'd done before and felt that what I gathered as inspiration wasn't all that different. But when I tried to show pictures, I was shot down on all of them full stop, with no opportunity to compromise or offers for something similar, or even an offer for any art that I might be able to get outside of what I was specifically asking for. I was willing to spend a decent chunk of money, but they didn't even try. Then, even more strange, half way through I was asked for a reference photo, and I had to tell her that she had already turned down all my photos, and she was confused and I was confused so I just told her which colors I wanted on each finger because I felt like that was what she was asking. I don't understand why this all happened the way it did. Last time, when I went with my mother-in-law (who had never been there before), they bent over backwards to please her, offered us drinks, even unprompted offered her nail art. Even then, they were more interested in her and her satisfaction, despite the fact that I was the one paying and the one getting a more expensive service This time I wasnt even offered a water, let alone nail art as I specifically requested in my appointment booking. I don't know if maybe I look like I don't have money (which I don't know why that would be) or if I just don't know how to get my nails done because Ive only ever done it a handful times in my life. But I don't understand why they treat me differently than they treated her. I'm overly polite, so I know there was nothing rude in the way I asked or anything. I really didn't want to make a fuss, and it was already so hard for me to ask for the art at the beginning, so I struggled to speak at all the rest of the time I was there because I was so anxious about it and felt like such an idiot. I was near tears, but did my best not to show it though I'm not sure how successful I was. The nails are cute. They're neat and the correct shape/length. The place is pleasant overall with relaxing music, but Im not sure I'll be going again after this. I still tipped well, and told her i liked them, as she seemed to be able to tell how sad and disappointed I was. Due to my neurodivergence, I really struggle to communicate with a language barrier, and I don't think it was really her fault so I didn't want her to feel bad in anyway. There's always the possibility that they didn't have access to my notes or something. Outside of the lack of art, the nails are really good. Just wish we could've worked together to compromise on something so that I could get what I wanted, instead of being turned down flat with little to no discussion. All I wanted was cool nail art like I see other women with all the time. Perhaps this simply wasn't the place to go for that sort of thing and my inexperience prevented me from understanding that. Which is why I gave this 3 stars instead of 2. Just in case it was something that I did wrong without knowing it.

I got my hair trimmed recently. It was my first (and now last) time at Envy. I mostly chose this…read moreplace due to the convenience of scheduling an appointment online, but the reviews were also promising. The lady who trimmed my hair did a decent job and was nice. My review, however, is for an atrocious experience I had with the owner, Brandi Wilson. My sister's first time at Envy didn't go as well as mine. Someone there attempted a balayage that... Well, let's just say she's had to spend hundreds of dollars correcting at other salons. Unsure of how the refund process works, she took me with her to speak with the manager about it. Ms. Wilson was with a client when we walked in. Awkwardly, my sister had to explain her situation while Ms. Wilson washed another lady's hair. She barely looked at us and acted like we were an annoying distraction from her work. Nevertheless, my sister kindly explained that the stylist didn't use the freehand painting technique that one uses for a proper balayage. Instead, she used foils from root to tip, all over, which resulted in chunky highlights that didn't naturally blend in. It was not a balayage in any way, shape, or form. (Picture attached.) Ms. Wilson saw that picture and didn't see anything wrong with it. She responded, first, with a lecture on what balayage is in an effort to discredit us - with misinformation, no less. She said balayage "isn't necessarily a technique" - no, it is a technique. That's literally what it is, what makes it special in the first place - the unique application. The more she talked about it, the more ignorant and patronizing she came across. She told us we have to talk to the stylist and that she could give us the stylist's number. All well and good. But then she left us standing there and continued picking apart my sister's complaint. She kept saying unhelpful, inflammatory things like, "Well if you'd talked to [the stylist] first maybe she would've fixed your hair for free." I don't know if she was in a bad mood or what, but she wanted to argue. Understandably I was irritated by this, but I stayed calm. I said we didn't want the original stylist to fix my sister's hair. Ms. Wilson acted like she had been personally attacked. She raised her voice and became visibly angry, demanding, "What do you want me to do?" I tried to say we just wanted the stylist's number but she kept talking over me. It made us very uncomfortable, so I had to tell her to chill. She seriously needed to calm down; there was no need for her to get defensive and escalate the situation. Instead, she lost it. She started yelling. She told us to leave before she called the police. She shouted, and I quote, "Exit my fricken business!" I was beyond done and going to leave, but we still needed the stylist's number for a refund. So I asked her, calmly, "Could you please give us [the stylist's] contact information?" I thought it was a reasonable request. Still enraged, she snapped, "You know what? Find it online." (We have this exchange on video, by the way.) Admittedly I did call her a name right before I left, but it was my only act of aggression in the whole mess and, frankly, she deserved it after the way she treated us. I will be doing what Ms. Wilson said and staying out of her "fricken" business for good. I'm telling everyone I know to avoid Envy as well. There are better salons in the area that are professional, friendly, and highly skilled - Tease and Ross Michaels comes to mind. Ms. Wilson needs to work on basic customer service skills because this does not bode well for any business. As the owner you represent your entire salon, your staff - even if they are independent contractors. You need to treat customers with care and respect. Don't be condescending. Don't make excuses. A little empathy goes a long way. Doing a little research on balayage wouldn't hurt, either.
